  1. Just started reading this article, full of good information, and just how badly China handled the virus... https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/30/asia/wuhan-china-covid-intl/index.html
  2. I wonder if another team can be convinced to do a Cain plus money for a REAL prospect?
  3. I'm a big, big fan of signing Santana to a modest deal. Ditto... A one year fix at a position we desperately need, and at a great price! (hopefully) I'm afraid his market price may end up being a lot higher than projected. I could see him getting a 9 or 10 million one year deal, which of course takes us out of the running.
  4. He was a fun replacement last season when things were going wrong with Smoak, but I think we all know that in 2021, he will come crashing back down to reality, and by June, he'll be gone.
  5. Which is whay I said that these kind of statements bother me. Just such a stupid thing to say, while backhandedly ripping the coaching staff of the previous team.
  6. Who would we replace him with? I'm on board, but it seems we already gave our replacement away to SD last off season.
  7. So the Dodgers notice adjustments that can be made, but Milwaukee didn't notice any adjustments? These kind of statements always bother me. This team can see things that they can do to improve a certain player, but the previous team wasn't able to see the same things...
  8. Knebel was a question mark!
  9. Well, at least we still have 15 catchers on the 40 man...
  10. If we get 2020 Arcia, this is probably a good deal. If we get 2018-2019 Arcia, we got hosed.
  11. I don't like that it was the Dodgers unless we actually get a nice player in return. If it was just cash, that really sucks... I just don't like the idea of the Dodgers, of all teams, might get good Knebel for almost nothing.
  12. The only reason I'd want him is to torment the Cubs...I'm not a fan of him otherwise.
  13. I'd love to get Rosaio for a year, but the team claiming him has to pay his full 2021 salary, correct? If so, that pretty much leaves us out. 9.6 million for Rosaio when we are already shelling out 10 million for worthless Garcia just isn't going to happen. Yelich, Cain and Rosario would be a nice looking OF for 2021. I don't think Kirriloff was ever a remote possibility anyway. He is pretty much untouchable, and even if he was an option, I don't think we have the guns to get him.
  14. Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Brewers are in agreement on a one-year deal with free agent catcher Luke Maile. There are no financial terms available yet for this agreement, which is pending a physical exam. Maile, 29, is a career .198/.252/.304 hitter at the MLB level and missed all of last season after fracturing his finger in a July intrasquad game with the Pirates, so the salary is probably somewhere close to the league minimum. 15. Just what we needed, another crappy catcher. Yay off season!
  16. He used to be a starter, so not impossible, but I don't think they plan to mess with what he has become...
  17. To be 100% honest, I'm expecting a total meltdown from Hader this season. He is on the edge so often, at some point, he will fall over. I want to trade him before he blows up and becomes worthless.
  18. A quick Google search seems to contradict this: - https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/1904963 - https://www.tampabay.com/sports/rays/2019/12/17/rays-officially-add-yoshitomo-tsutsugo-lose-avisail-garcia-to-brewers/ It's too damn bad we "won" him...
  19. I'm curious. I see a lot of people saying they won't get the vaccine right away and want to make sure it is safe first... Has there ever been a vaccine in the USA that was deemed unsafe after doses were given out? Has there ever been a vaccine that was known to cause health issues years down the road?
  20. Wasn't sure where to put this, but for those of us who like to see where former Brewer minor leaguers end up, this is where Cy Sneed will be in 2021... Cy Sneed has signed with the Yakult Swallows of Japan’s Central League, per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. Sneed spent parts of the last two seasons with the Astros but has found a better opportunity overseas. Houston now has an additional 40-man roster spot to play with. 21. Agreed with all above! Where would we be for Brewer chat and discussion without this place? I shudder to think... Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
  22. Yeah, that needed to be decided by now for sure. Kind of ridiculous that we still don't know.
  23. Orioles released 1B/DH Renato Nunez. Nunez went unclaimed on waivers, but he should now command multiple offers in free agency after putting up a strong .816 OPS with 12 home runs and 31 RBI over 52 games for Baltimore during the shortened 2020 campaign. NL teams may have been hesitant to claim him given the still-uncertain DH situation for 2021. SOURCE: Roch Kubatko on Twitter Nov 25, 2020, 3:10 PM ET
  24. Why would you think that Ray is good enough for the Mets 4th Ofer? He isn't even good enough to make our top 6 according to his playing time and shot to play in Milwaukee. Ray is never going to amount to a trade chip, he is just an obvious throw-in candidate. Davis is a hack in the field, however I'd LOVE LOVE to get Smith.
