  1. It is for this reason, and many others, that I am glad that David Stearns runs this team, and not random message board posters.
  2. That could pose a problem then...The later we go without him in the rotation, the more he would have to be stretched out...
  3. Hopefully, if Lindblom doesn't pan out, CC has a quick hook. If he is still starting after 5 starts and getting bombed, and Burnes and Peralta are killing it in AAA, they need to make the change, and not wait. As we have discovered the past couple of years, every, EVERY win can and will matter down the stretch. I hate giving them away when they are so valuable, so making changes when needed is a must.................imo
  4. One of the happiest moments in my fandom career. The Yount no-hitter catch was awesome, but Oglivi's catch was franchise changing...
  5. Ok, but with Peralta, he is still an unknown. You have to give this guy a shot... We know exactly what Anderson is already, and that ain't much... I think it would be stupid to waive him, but then again, I think it was stupid to sign him to begin with.
  6. I don't view Anderson as anything other than a guy in our rotation. I have zero expectations for him since he is made of glass. I do not want him taking starts away from other guys who have earned them, based on the fact that we went out and signed him. If he makes 12-15 starts without having a season ending injury, I'll be shocked.
  7. He doesn't, this Logan Morrison stuff is getting ridiculous. He had 15 good at bats in the first half of spring, many against non-mlb caliber pitchers. He could mash for 2 more weeks and would still be very unlikely to crack the roster, because small sample and he has zero versatility. It's way more likely the Brewers are talking him up and hoping to trade him for anything of value 2-3 weeks from now. When has Stearns ever kept a guy with options over a guy without options if it's close? Especially for the last guy on the bench who will rarely play I don't think CC knows the meaning or "rarely play." Everyone on our roster typically gets a lot of playing time, somehow, some way.
  8. Imagine having signed Rendon, and let the Yelich contract play out. Potentially, we would have had them both for 3 years...
  9. and lucky me, I have him in 3 keeper leagues... I finally dropped him this year. Should have traded him last season. I did trade him in one league , so I really only have him in 2 leagues.
  10. Yup, and the cycle just continues...
  11. I really hope that Claudio is used properly. That guy shouldn't be facing righties, the new rule scares me when trying to incorporate him into our plans.
  12. and lucky me, I have him in 3 keeper leagues...
  13. If Burnes continues to dominate, he damn well better be in our starting rotation. I don't think we are in position to trade dominant starting pitching for a guy who will cripple us in salary for the next few years.
  14. Adrian Houser was removed from Monday's appearance in a "B" game due to tightness in his right thumb. It sounds like something he probably would've pitched through if it was a regular season game, but the Brewers understandably didn't want to push it. Whether Houser will be ready for his next scheduled outing isn't known at this time, but it doesn't appear that this is anything to get worked up about. 15. Hauser? New signing?
  16. 100% agree.
  17. So June it is... I don't like the way we are going about this. The best 5 out of spring should be the guys we go with. If Lindblom isn't one of the best 5, then he shouldn't get a spot. If Burnes and or Peralta are one of the best, they deserve the spots. Announcing the rotation as early as CC did was a mistake. I don't think the order he named them to be anything other than how he rrandomly named them. Again, the position should go to whoever earned it out of spring training. I don't think SS is up in the air at all. Arcia will hold the spot until Urias returns. That could make things sticky if Arcia starts out hot... I hope he is right!!! Both guys should be pretty important to our success.
  18. It's certainly been good news so far on many of the question marks, including Peralta, Burnes and Arcia. Heck, even Brett Anderson, who a few people here love to hate, has looked good. But ... it's still February. I haven't seen any hate for Anderson, just people knowing for 100% certainty that he will not pitch a full season. What is the over /under on 15 starts?
  19. How much does the Corona Virus have to do with this?
  20. Well they aren’t white....so... lol...I was just going to comment, you beat me to it.
  21. I absolutely LOVE the new uniforms. Seeing them on TV, they look awesome! Can't wait to see the away gray uniforms...
  22. Hmmm... How about this: Brewers get: 3B Miguel Andujar OF Ryder Green OF/IF Alex Garcia RHP Luis Gil Yankees get: RHP Corbin Burnes LHP Alex Claudio Unless we are getting back some serious thunder, this isn't the best time to trade Burnes imo. I'm just curious why you didn't include Lutz and or Turang...
  23. I'm assuming #4 should read ...who walked less than 1.5 batters per 9 innings? If it was less than 1.5 per inning, that sounds not so promising...lol
