  1. Woodruff hurts like hell. Chacin, it can be argued that we are better without him... Davies, see Chacin… Nelson was never a part of anything this season, hard to feel his absence when we haven't had him add anything to this team in 2 years. Woodruff was the final nail in this season imo.
  2. Meh, I no longer care if he is here or not. I like him, but being second fiddle to everything else he has been doing leaves me feeling a bit neglected. Maybe he just needs to leave forever...
  3. It's HOUSER people, HOUSER! I've seen it misspelled on this site a ton lately.
  4. Yet losing DJ has had no effect on our pitching staff. Pitching coaches don't matter.
  5. Just think, we have 3 more years at 15 million per pop to watch Cain continue to downslide. That is not a good thing.
  6. Losing Woody all this time hasn't helped either... Imo, losing Woodruff was the final nail in this season's coffin. We already had issues with starting pitching, and needed to add one TOR type arm at the deadline to have a decent 1-2 punch. Losing Woodruff meant we now needed at least 2 TOR type arms, and that was never going to happen. When he went down, our season went with him. Yup, this is a pretty negative take, but I think it is healthier to admit that we are toast than to carry on this psychological charade that we might just be able to get back in it. Not going to happen folks.
  7. ...and we are now counting on Brent Suter to save our season? Think about that for a second, let it sink in deep.
  8. *shaking head*
  9. Nope. An absolute joke is when Dante Bichette is your best player. An absolute joke is when you feel bad sending Ricky Bones to the all star game because your team needs a rep and you know you are taking the honor away from a deserving player. If you have been a Brewers fan for any amount of time ... you will agree that being above .500 and within reach of the playoffs come August is a luxury for our team. Are expectations different for this team and this era of Crew Ball? Yep. Have the injuries and list of under performing players been frustrating given the hype. Yep. An absolute joke? Come on man. Problem is, the newer fans haven't experienced the crap that the older fans went through. Those that started following the team in 2008 have no idea what this franchise was like prior. It's not their fault, they just have expectations that we didn't grow up with...
  10. Agree, this is what I was afraid would happen to be honest. Our roster management continues to be questionable.
  11. Agreed... I'd grab him up and not even think twice about it...
  12. What is the temperature in Oakland that forces all these Cali fans and players to bundle up? lol
  13. I never took Davis as a guy who would have that stupid looking little hair bun in the back... WHIF!
  14. Dodgeville vs darlington battle The old Southern Eight Conference you beat me to it...lol
  15. Dodgeville vs darlington battle Hey, that is part of my old high school conference... It was the Southern 8 when I was in high school though, no idea how those teams are all split up these days. I went to Platteville.
  16. Did he work his way slowly into the official A's role playing drums? No. I think he just danced to them. Oakland needs an Mc Hammer night. Make the players play in those pants. That would kick ass They had one a couple years ago, and gave away an MC Hammer bobblehead...
  17. Glad we kept him, and glad we are going to see what he has... He better not be coming up to sit the bench 5 games a week. Play the kid.
  18. I mean, the guy is 21 years old. 23
  19. But with satelite and cable if you cancel and you are in a contract there is a fee you have to pay. For the streaming service there is no fee and you can cancel and switch whenever you want. So that problem is mitigated a bit. No contract with my cable at spectrum. I can walk anytime I want, but choose not to deal with the streaming services, etc. I have considered going to dish, but just not worth it.
  20. WANT! Braves designated LHP Luiz Gohara for assignment. Gohara was once a promising prospect for Atlanta, but the 23-year-old southpaw holds a 5.33 ERA in 49 career major league innings and he has struggled with shoulder issues for much of this season. Still, he could certainly attract interest from other teams on waivers. Jul 31, 2019, 5:32 PM ET
