  1. So, do we deserve to lose this game more than the Marlins deserve to lose? Someone is going to win, I prefer it be us!
  2. Archer's ERA and WHIP have gone up the past 3 seasons. His HR per 9 innings has also gone up each year during that time. His strike-outs per 9 innings also trending down. Too many red flags on this guy to give up what he is going to require. pass.
  3. I am merely saying, that if Hader doesn't go 6 or 7 days between his last appearance, maybe he is sharper and doesn't give up those HRs. You guys can't possibly think that a relief pitcher will be as effective with sporadic appearances as he would if he is used more consistantly, right? Counsell is not perfect, and he is not above criticism. If he does stupid things, you can and should expect him to be questioned. I don't think we should just accept everything he does, he is sometimes at fault, whether people here believe it or not.
  4. That is complete speculation. Those were not the first home runs he has given up. No more speculation than those who say he isn't rusty. We can play this game all night. Hader should not go 7 days between appearances, that is on Counsell. Maybe they need to re-think on how they are using the guy.
  5. Oh, so Counsell is perfect, and since he has the best bullpen in baseball he can't be criticized? please. He can be criticized but nobody watching this game thinks Hader looked rusty, he was just fine and got too much of the plate with 2 pitches. One of them most likely because he was being squeezed by the ump. Blaming Counsell for that is just trying to fit your narrative to the story, it has no basis in truth. If he wasn't rusty, maybe he doesn't get too much of the plate for those 2 homeruns!!
  6. Oh, so Counsell is perfect, and since he has the best bullpen in baseball he can't be criticized? please.
  7. That would be a CC move. Put in a guy with no experience, or first MLB appearance ever, in a high leverage situation.
  8. Or it could be that he needs to pitch more than once every 7 freaking days. CC and his bullpen management once again leaving something to be desired.
  9. The Hupy commercial, where the guy is wearing the black sunglasses talking about motorcycle accidents is so bad. Guy looks like an idiot.
  10. Erceg and Nottingham for Britton? Eye-yi-yi… I'm really glad your name is not David Stearns.
  11. Oh man, Archer talk again? Yuk.
  12. Agreed, No Zack Brown!!! No way, no how if we are already doing Woodruff. I have zero interest in Britton, unless it is a complete salary dump on their part. I don't want to offer them another piece for Britton. Nothing.
  13. Sorry, I guess I'm just getting antsy. I don't get how some posters are ready to throw Woodruff, Broxton and more at Machado, while the same guys are saying Burnes is untouchable. I mean is it simply because Burnes is less known? Both have solid middle of the rotation profiles. Woodruff is about 20 months older than Burnes. I mean, it's gotta be because Woodruff has ben kicking around the system longer, and already has MLB experience, right? Are we going to be looking at Burnes the same way at this time next year if he doesn't dominate at the MLB level? To me the two are interchangeable. We are going to HAVE to give up something to get Machado. If Woodruff gets it done, hen itneeds to get done. If it's Burnes, most would rather not go that route. It is what it is, but someone is going to have to go, and if it is between Peralta, Burnes and Woodruff, I'd say bye bye Woodruff, like right now.
  14. I would make that deal in a heartbeat! Oh how I wish it were so...
  15. I hate car shopping, new or used. I hate the negotiation part mostly. After 2 or 3 weeks of shopping online, I finally made some decisions, and started test driving. The hassle and time it takes to find a new ride bugs me. Paying for a new ride bugs me. Owning our 2nd brand new car ever does not bug me. We usually buy low mileage used. Went with a 2018 Ford Escape. Had to get the sports package, black rims, vista panoramic moonroof, 4WD, and many other great options.
  16. Castro has a huge salary, so maybe his price won't be too bad if his new owner takes his salary with him...
  17. I might be the only one but I wouldn't give up much at all for Machado. Rental with no compensation and he's Yuni bad defensively at shortstop. I'm with you. Building a solid team for the future does not include eptying the farm for a 2.5 month rental.
  18. I hope you can add Burnes to that list as well...
  19. Typical CC logic. I can't even fathom why he would allow him to come in a 2nd inning. We got lucky the first inning, why not take what the Gods give us and be happy with that? Nope, we have to test it, and lost. Frustrating.
  20. last 2 games? I think he has always been questionable when it comes to his pen use.
  21. It was 100% joyful to watch how that season played out. After so many seasons of not sniffing the post season, it was an absolute thrill to feel that feeling again. CC will always be one of my favorite Brewers, FOR-EV-ER!
  22. Nice. Thanks for the crystal ball. I won't watch today. I will bet you $1,000 Sogard won't get any at bats for the Crew today. I'll bet 5 million Sogard doesn't see an AB today. Geez.
