  1. They already did a USA Sheets in 2002. We really don't need another Yount, and I hope after the current sausage series ends (after next season) they stop the racing sausages for a while. (They have already done 4 sausage series bobbles, including the minis and the stitch-n-pitch) I like the idea of the fan vote, as long as the choices don't include another Braun, Yount, Cooper, Thomas, or any other bobble that has already been done, especially those that have been done multiple times. For whatever reason, the promo department have chosen to ignore all the players in the 90's...
  2. 11 T-Rats 8 Brewers, but of course, the alternates/retros/etc have not been announced. Could be as many as 15. (no alternate on the chorizo) 1 Jean Segura Season Ticket Holder 1 Stitch-n-Pitch (yet to be announced if they are doing one, but it's pretty certain they will) That is 21 for sure, 28 if the Brewers have alternates. That is not counting the Huntsville, Nashville, or the unrelated Chinooks. Ridiculousness.
  3. 2 Scooter bobbles this year? I wonder if the Brewers even bothered checking with their minor league clubs to see what bobbles they were giving out? I don't mind Scooter in a Brewers uniform though... Would rather have seen a Peralta since the T-Rats ignored him...
  4. There has to be more to the Bucci story than is being reported... Any chance we pick him back up?
  5. I've been married 21 years, and our wedding album has been taken out 2 or 3 times max......that I'm aware of anyway We watched the video once, and that was enough. The video was a complete waste of time, effort and money.
  6. The key is to act interested, but let her make all the final decisions. Pretend like you care about things, and act like you are giving in to her every need. (should be easy if you truly don't care about any of the hoopla) I'm with you, I let my wife decide on almost everything as I really didn't care one way or another on almost every decision that had to be made. It is all ridiculous in the end, but they look forward to this day their entire lives, don't lose sight of that, and you will be just fine. Best of luck!
  7. To anyone interested: I've been asked by several people to pick up their t-rats bobbles this season, and there would be a certain amount of hassle involved, so this is what I'd be willing to do for anyone that wants the bobbles but can't make the games. I'm making THIS exact offer to brewerfan.net board members only. If anyone is willing to pay for 2 tickets in the package, one box and one reserved bleacher seat, I'd be willing to pick up all your bobbles and ship them to you at the end of the season. (You'd have to pay shipping cost though, I'm guessing roughly $20 depending on where you live...) If you would rather meet someplace to save shipping costs, I'm sure we could arrange that as well. Box seats are $85 (which is the package I have for me and my family) Reserved bleacher is $65 (cheapest option for a package seat) So basically, you'd be buying me one more seat that I'd use for my family or friends, and a dummy seat (Reserved bleacher) that I would never use, but would use the ticket only to collect your bobble. It would cost you $150 plus shipping ($20?), but you would get 1 of each of all 11 bobbles, and wouldn't have to scramble to get them from ebay or other people on the secondary market. (You would pay about $16.36 each, which would include the shipping cost) If you look at it, it's a sweet deal for you, and me, as I'd get an extra bobble, and seat to each game for family or friends, and you'd have all 11 bobbles in hand at season's end...(think of the gas money you'd save, plus parking fees, etc, by not having to attend all the games in person........lol) There is currently someone on ebay pre-selling all 11 bobbleheads for $299 shipped, and my guess is that they will easily sell individually for $25-$30 each on ebay plus shipping, once they start coming out during the season. (some for more, Gomez, Henderson, Scooter, Felix, Choo, Ortiz...some for probably less) Let me know if anyone is interested (PM me), I am putting my ticket order in on Monday afternoon 1/13/14, so that is the last day I can offer this deal. *Also included will be the ticket stub and game programs for the day bobbles were given out. Bobble Dates: Thursday, April 3: Scooter Gennett (2B, 2010) Saturday, April 5: Felix Hernandez (P, 2003) Tuesday, April 29: Brett Lawrie (3B, 2009) Tuesday, May 13: David Ortiz (1B, 1996) Tuesday, June 10: Adam Jones (OF, 2004) Tuesday, July 1st: Jim Henderson (RP, 2009 as a player, and 2013 on rehab) Sunday, July 20th: Carlos Gomez (CF, rehab with t-rats 2010, 2011, and 2012) Tuesday, July 29: Asdrubal Cabrera (SS, 2005) Sunday, August 3: Khris Davis (OF, 2010) Tuesday, August 12: Martin Maldonado (C, 2009) Thursday, August 28: Shin-Soo Choo (OF, 2002)
  8. Other than Gomez, who would be considered one of the CF that so many teams would love to have? Are you saying that Schaefer would be considered a premium type CF? It is all opinion really, but it needs to be stated as opinion, not as fact.
  9. Why don't we just draw names out of a hat each day to decide where they play. RRR could hold a press conference each day pre-game to announce his line-up, it would be fun. Seriously, can you imagine Weeks trying to play 3B? All this talk of so many players switching positions is just crazy.
  10. Francisco = Encarnacion? I hope you are right, but being a pessimist, I think you might be a bit off...
  11. HIGH probability based on what? Your opinion? If this is based on your opinion, please say so, don't try and pass your opinions off as some kind of inside informational facts...
  12. Do you have any evidence of this, or are you just speculating, hoping your boy comes back? You sound a little sure of yourself...
  13. Nick Bucci released? This is very surprising to me. For a club that isn't very deep in minor league pitching, Bucci has to be let go? Loved watching this kid in Appleton, awaiting to hear the full story. Was he unable to come back from his shoulder injury? Bummer... http://www.rotoworld.com/playernews/mlb/baseball?r=1
  14. Finally got an ICEMAN bobble for the collection... Got a decent deal, a lot cheaper than some have been selling for and listed on ebay anyway. 2nd photo is of the "BIG 3" for Brewers collectors, all in my collection... My collection is now complete, for now... http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n136/turborickey/ebaysales048_zps3f39bae9.jpg http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n136/turborickey/ebaysales049_zps7b70dd96.jpg
  15. ^ I hope you are right, I really do...
  16. You guys can paint his unsuccessful season in Baltimore any way you want, but he was garbage the 2nd half of last season, do we really want to bring that mess back to Milwaukee? Why make excuses for his poor performance? I'm not against bringing him back for a look, but to make excuses seems ridiculous. He was horrible in Baltimore, regardless of the situations he was put in to pitch...
  17. Every time I see Thornburg linked to Ike Davis, my heart sinks a little bit more. I truly hope that Melvin is serious when he says he won't trade Thornburg for Davis, but I don't believe him. The longer this rumor goes on, the more I think the trade is going to happen. Brewers general manager Doug Melvin told Adam McCalvy of MLB.com that he has had "ongoing discussions" with Mets general manager Sandy Alderson about a trade for a first baseman. While Melvin didn't mention the player by name, the Brewers have been linked to Ike Davis as far back as before the Winter Meetings. However, Melvin said neither side has found a deal they are comfortable with. The Mets are asking for right-hander Tyler Thornburg in return while the Brewers would prefer to deal a position player. 18. Agreed, plus, to be honest, his act was getting old. Glad for his time here in Milwaukee, but his page was turned, let's leave it that way. Just another example of an ex brewer that someone wants to bring back...I just don't get it. Who is next Capuano? ESPN's Buster Olney reports that free agent left-hander Chris Capuano is looking for a two-year contract. Capuano hasn't found a taker yet, but he's willing to wait for the right situation to develop. The 35-year-old left-hander posted a 4.26 ERA and 81/24 K/BB ratio in 105 2/3 innings last season with the Dodgers. Source: Buster Olney on Twitter
  19. I'm not sure I would categorize his numbers in Baltimore as effective: "Rodriguez, who turns 32 next week, went 2-1 with a 4.50 ERA in 23 appearances with the Orioles after they acquired him from the Brewers on July 23 for minor league infielder Nicky Delmonico. He allowed 25 hits, walked five, struck out 28 and surrendered five home runs in 22 innings." I'll take his season numbers: 2.70 ERA, 1.20 Whip, 54 K's in 46 2/3 innings. No, he's not a dominant reliever and he won't get paid like one either, but he's still useful. But those season numbers include his 2nd half with Baltimore. His season numbers look fine, but his 2nd half is nightmare like...
  20. According to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York, the Mets are no longer actively shopping first baseman Ike Davis. Rubin notes that they could always reengage in trade talks before the season begins, they currently expect Davis to be with the club when spring training opens in Port St. Lucie in February. The 26-year-old slugger has maintained that his preference is to remain with the Mets. Source: ESPN New York
  21. Because we had Yuni and Gonzalez to play 1B.....hello?
  22. I would have to think long and hard about that... We have guys in the minors who can man 1B at some point, but what do we have for pitching? I think Thornburg could be a key player down the road, either as a starter (my preference) or a reliever. I'm not sure I would deal him for Butler, but that is a tempting idea to think about for sure.
  23. Latest on Morales: According to Jim Duquette of MLB Network Radio, the Royals could be in the mix for free agent Kendrys Morales. Duquette also mentions that signing Morales could give them the flexibility needed to deal Billy Butler for pitching help. The market has been very slow to develop for the 30-year-old slugger, impacted by the fact that he's tied to draft pick compensation, and that he's a butcher in the field and best served as a designated hitter. 24.
