  1. I hate it when Cardinals players turn out to be good guys in real life.
  2. No Braun, but does this mean he will pinch hit late in the game, and destroy the entire reason he is sitting in the first place? (resting his thumb) Give the guy 2 or 3 full days off, no pinch hitting, for the love of God!
  3. and don't forget the Reds...
  4. The Pirates could have signed Lohse, they had as much chance as we did, they just made the right decision that giving up your number one pick to do so was a stupid, ridiculous, asinine thing to do. We thought it was a good idea, and here we sit... Man do I hate that signing more and more every freaking day.
  5. Even if they had thought he would only miss "1" month, they still failed start the season with a MLB option at 1B. Inexcusable. Now that it has been 2 months, with the possibility of a 3rd, this was failure in immense proportion.
  6. I'm not sure why we need more #3 type pitchers. If that is the ceiling of the guys above, count me out.
  7. RRR did the same thing when he finally gave Rickie a day off. Why pinch hit a guy when he is given a day off because he can't hit to save his life? Just dumb. Now he is trying to ley Braun heal a little bit, then he pinch hits him? RRR is a goofus. The day he gets canned will be the best day of the season so far. Hopefully it comes sooner rather than later. I played through a thumb injury in high school, and I will tell you this, you use your thumb for a lot more than you realize when you are healthy. It was tremendously painful, and drug on for a long time. (of course, after the season ended, I found out it was fractured, so there was that...lol)
  8. Why they have to keep secrets from the fans is beyond me. I find it completely irritating that they can't just be up front and let the fans know what they are giving out. I would bet they have two Gomez bobbles, regular and alternate.
  9. moronic isn't it? RRR plays Weeks when Weeks clearly needs to be benched. now that the guy is doing something he gets benched. RRR doesn't make a lot of sense. Made a change for you...lol
  10. wow, that is a pathetic looking line-up. Ugh. As much as Weeks needed to be sat down, I am surprised RRR has the sack to do so after he finally started to show some life at the plate. Seems a bit counter-productive to the psychi of Rickie to take the bat from him now, after he seems to be coming around. (yes, I know, righty left match ups, blah blah blah)
  11. He had no problem giving away our number one draft pick to a division rival...
  12. Actually, Scooter had the most fan reaction after being announced of all the Brewers players at last night's game. He easily drew the most applause by far.
  13. I take my own photos at T-Rats games, get 8x10's made at Wal Mart for $3, then get them signed. The quality is great. No different than any pre made photos out there.Means a lot more to me to have a photo that I took than to buy them from someone else. Problem is, a lot of the players ask for a copy (which I'm assuming is a compliment)...lol I feel guilty not getting them one if they ask since they do take the time to sign for anyone who wants them to sign something.
  14. Was at this game last night, great come from behind victory! Nice to see some clutch performances for once. Oh, and did you guys know that Carlos Gomez is really fast?
  15. RRR will probably keep him in the line-up now that he is sooooooooo hot. Scooter will rot.
  16. Rickie is such a stud!!! Feeling the Scooter pressure perhaps?
  17. What about the 900 drafts before the 2914 draft. Man, you are really thinking ahead...
  18. You have no clue if he is eventually going to be a utility man or a regular starter in the Majors. No clue at all. How about we let him play some in the Majors before we act like we know what he will do. So many people here are posting that he is this, he isn't that, but in all reality, it is asinine to come to any kind of judgement until the guy suits up and plays. It almost seems that there are those here who are practically rooting against him. I'm sure that isn't the case, but none of us know anything for sure. The way people are talking, they have magic future seeing crystal balls.
  19. I'm not for booing our own players, but a change just had to be made. Hopefully, Rickie can come around and actually help the team in the near future, but if Scooter takes off, ya gotta do what is best for the team.
  20. Aoki's walk-up music is just freaking pathetic... This should probably go in the "what's bugging you" thread.
  21. I'm not sure that showacsing a guy who hasn't been in the show before as a trade chip is a good idea. Wouldn't we be better off using him as a trade chip with his career minor league numbers, than playing him for a minimal amount of innings with the chance of failing before trading him? I highly doubt we brought him up for a showcase...
  22. Don't even begin to try and figure out how these things occur. What you have said above in maddening, but it's how we do things.
  23. Not a good hitter? How so? He had a .740 OPS in the minors. That's around the land of Darwin Barney and Chris Getz. If you want a "good" hitting 2B, you'll see .900 minors OPS. That's Kendrick, Altuve, etc. What is Rickie's OPS this year?
