  1. But, but, his winning record, and stats, and...
  2. It's time for Yelich to start sitting against most lefties. Get Vaughn into more games, and probably a couple more Ws along the way. FREE ANDREW VAUGHN!
  3. People are hesitant to jump on the Sproat bandwagon after his start last night, but damn, that was impressive. If he strings together a couple more starts like that one, we have something! I'm not counting him out, I prefer to think that was a turning point!
  4. If Gasser and Sproat keep rolling up until close to the deadline, I just don't see a need to mortgage our future for 3 months of Skubal. Plus, his injury REALLY concerns me. Add Woodruff to the mix (but I don't see a scenario where he doesn't do at least one more trip to the IL this season) and the need for Skubal is even less. Not to mention Henderson getting healthy. I'd rather put some prospects into a bat to be honest. I mean a real bat, not some fringey guy we hope to catch lightning in a bottle with.
  5. I think there are some people here who owe Brandon Sproat a LARGE apology :)
  6. Brandon Lockridge underwent arthroscopic knee surgery after suffering a setback. Lockridge suffered the knee injury near the start of May, and while the original belief was that it was just a bone bruise, imaging on the knee revealed a chondral flap that required the operation. The hope is that Lockridge will be back at the end of July, but obviously there are no guarantees that he’ll be an option for the Brewers until near the end of the 2026 campaign. - Source: Adam McCalvy
  7. Skubal's injury is worrisome. He hasn't looked good in his first two starts coming off the IL, and some say he came off too soon. I certainly hope of med team does a really good job of evaluating if we are serious about getting him. Man, if we pay a premium price and he's not good to go, that would/could crush us.
  8. Not true, I'm not asking for stat comparison, I just want to know who people would want coming to the plate in that given scenario. It's odd that the only two people on the site that engaged in the conversation in today's IGT will not answer a simple question that has no consequences. Who would you want hitting in that situation? It's really that simple.
  9. So you just can't answer the question? You don't have a gut reaction? It's an interesting scenario, and you are arguing just for the sake of arguing if you can't answer the question. There is no right or wrong answer, no prizes, you won't even be ridiculed for your answer. Why waste time in this thread if you refuse to answer one simple question? Meh, ok then, you do you.
  10. Yup, we really don't need Adell with Mitchell on board, and Lara coming at some point. Oh, and that is WAY too much to give up for those two players, just out of whack. Crazy talk.
  11. So your answer is Frelick. Cool. It's not rocket science, just answer the question. Maybe a stats guy could really dig in and find out which player has had the most success with bases loaded vs a right handed pitcher in their career?
  12. Bottom of the 9th, 2 outs, bases loaded, down by 3 runs, right handed pitcher on the mound... Who do you want coming to the plate? Doesn't matter who started the game, this is not a pinch hitting situation, just a simple question, who do you want hitting in that scenario? Vaughn or Frelick
  13. I disagree, but since Brewcrew82 won't answer a simple question, I'm out.
  14. The question is: Who do you want hitting in that scenario? I'm not saying it's a pinch hit situation, I'm saying who do you want at the plate? It's really a very simple question...
  15. ...and you are just avoiding the question. Totally relevant, you are saying they are the same player offensively. So if given the choice, who do you send to the plate in that scenario? You don't want to answer because it makes you take a stance one way or the other, and could disprove your point, Game on the line, bases loaded, down by 3, right handed pitcher, 2 outs, who would you want hitting, Frelick or Vaughn? It's a simple little question really.
  16. @Brewcrew82 Seriously, looking forward to your answer...
  17. He's no longer playing 3B. Haven't we discussed this already?
  18. Maybe he has turned a corner? What a boost if this is the real Robert Gasser...
  19. I would. Any sign of trouble you take him out.
