  1. From the Yankees to the Mets? Out of the frying pan and into the fire...I hope he has his head on straight.
  2. Fixed it for you. I feel bad that so many are still clinging to the hope that Mitchell will suddenly be healthy for a season and contribute. I've given up, and don't consider him for anything, at all.
  3. Nope, none...not this off season, maybe next. Trading William would crush this team, and we'd have no one to take his place that we can 100% count on. Just picture this line-up as it sits without Contreras. Disgusting.
  4. ...and water is wet.
  5. I hope we intend to keep Arnold around a long damn time. PAY THE MAN!
  6. Francys Romero reports that Tatsuya Imai will meet with MLB teams in December. Romero says that the 27-year-old will head stateside in December before meeting with “several clubs.” Imai has been one of the best hurlers in Japan over the past couple of years and is coming off a 2025 campaign that saw him forge a 1.92 ERA and 178/45 K/BB over 163 2/3 innings with the Seibu Lions. He’ll be looking at multi-year deal with his new club, with some believing he could get the highest AAV of any free-agent starter this winer. Source: Francys Romero
  7. Meh. If you read this thread from start to finish, it appears that people are defending the guy far more than he deserves. His 2025 season offensively was an absolute train wreck. Whatever, see it as you will...
  8. It's a strawman's argument to say that Joey wasn't very good in 2025, and it would be nice to make an improvement there? Ok then.
  9. I think there are many folks here who have forgotten just how bad Joey was at the dish in 2025. Remember all those times coming to bat with bases loaded? It was sickening. He felt like an automatic out most of the season, and we have people here acting like all was fine. I think people can drop all the stats they want, but if you watched as many games as I did, you can't possibly think his 2025 season was passable. It wasn't. It's fine to compare him to other all glove and no bat SS, but our line-up can't absorb players like him, We don't have the pop to make up for it. Yes, he was our #9 hitter, and what can realistically be expected from a #9 hitter, blah blah blah, but that doesn't mean we have to just accept that he was TERRIBLE last year, and not look for a replacement. Finding that replacement is another story all together (and probably a story for a different thread), but just because he was a horrible #9 hitter doesn't mean we can't expect better in 2026 from someone else. It's great that we can forgive and forget, but offensively, Joey is not our answer at SS. Most playoff contending teams would be searching for a replacement, that's just how it is. Can he rebound and be 2024 Joey? Possibly, and if he does, that would be great, but what if he doesn't and we have a re-run of 2025? We seem to want to act like everything in 2025 was just fine. Well, it wasn't.
  10. Really liked RUNNING MAN today... Great theater flick for sure! It's been so long since I saw the original version, so I can't compare them, but this one was pretty awesome!
  11. DVD Purge: Coyote Ugly - Goner Couples Retreat - This one is pretty funny - Keeper Commando - One of, if not my favorite Arnold movie! - Keeper The Cowboys - Easily my favorite John Wayne movie of all time! I'm not a big John Wayne guy, but you have to respect the man. This movie takes me waaaaaay back and still holds up! GREAT FLICK - KEEPER!
  12. Contreras isn't going anywhere. Any offer we would accept would have to be over the moon good. Trading him would have a horrible effect on this team.
  13. Not being absurd at all... Why would the Tigers trade Skubal for Peralta? We'd have to include a ton with Peralta to make them want to do it. Skubal has one year left with Detroit, then he is gone, same as Freddy. The trade makes no sense as there isn't even a remote chance we could resign Skubal after 2026. Doesn't matter what we offer realistically, it isn't going to happen. The only trade that makes sense for us in acquiring Skubal would be a trade that doesn't involve Freddy at all. Filling Freddy's spot in the rotation with Skubal still leaves us a void in the rotation. Having Freddy AND Skubal makes a lot more sense, and in that scenario, we would have to empty some of our top prospects to get Skubal. For a one year rental, it just isn't going to happen.
  14. Enter Sveumrules to refute everything you just said with other stats. ;)
  15. Well, he is a Cubs fan, so... I can see if someone wasn't a fan of the Brewers they could look at his track record and think he is expendable, but we have a lot invested into Mitchell, so I say keep him around and see what happens one more season. I highly doubt many real Brewers fans or the team itself is ready to dump him just yet.
  16. There isn't a chance, not even a slight chance, not a chance in hell that we could get Skubal for Peralta, Perkins and Quero. I mean, this has to be a joke or a troll post to even type up such stuff. *shaking head*
  17. Born and raised in Southwest WI, now live in the Fox Valley. I never heard the term "bubbler" until I moved here, and it makes no sense. There are no bubbles. We called it a drinking fountain, or water fountain, and that is what I still call it. Bubbler to me is the kind you see in an office, The kind where there is a large replaceable water container, and you push the button to have water dispensed into a little cone shaped drinking glass. When you push the button, bubbles rise to the top inside the water container, hence "bubbler." A drinking fountain, which to me is the correct terminology, makes sense because when you push the button for water, it comes out in a small fountain which the user drinks from. This bubbler thing is just whacky...imo.
  18. The DVD Purge continues... Congo - Meh, some good moments, but just not that interesting anymore. Goner. Convoy - Late 70's cheese-fest. Anyone who lived through the CB and 18 wheeler craze at that time might appreciate this one. Goner Conspiracy Theory - Julia Roberts and Mel Gibson. Not a bad movie, but I won't need to see it again. Goner All these movies biting the dust really thins down the collection, which was actually my goal. Thin the heard for storage constraints.
  19. I'm not trying to embarrass him, legit wanted to know why he leaves thumbs down on my posts on a consistent basis. I also don't need you telling me how to conduct myself, but thanks for caring. :( As far as me re-thinking my takes based on the fact that someone seems to always disagree with me, no thanks, my takes and thoughts are my own, I'm not going to re-think anything just because some dude on a message board likes to hand out thumbs down replies. Thanks for your superiority. Glad you think so much of yourself that you feel it is necessary to comment on something that really had nothing to do with you to begin with.
  20. If we could get Buxton AND Ryan for Pratt, Gasser and Mitchell, I'd be ALL OVER THIS in a heartbeat, so would the Brewers I'd suspect...
