  1. The Brewers never EASILY come up with money... I agree, 15 million per season for 3 seasons seems like something we could handle, but it's not as easy as you seem to think... Are you new to Brewer fandom?
  2. Like I alluded to, you are a Twins fan, I'm not so sure you are seeing this as clearly as a person who isn't a Twins fan. Pena is a MAJOR reach in a deal for Buxton unless the Twins eat his entire contract in the trade. Even then, too many injuries for my taste. We will agree to disagree, I'm good with that.
  3. Lathund You follow me around, dropping the thumb's down on my posts, but never say why. Stop being a jerk and give me some reasons why you drop the thumb's down. I'm genuinely curious since that is all you ever do. I doubt you will reply to this, and if you do, it will probably just be your normal response, but seriously...
  4. Wait, I do hear people saying MELK, but have never heard Milwaukee pronounced Muhwaukee in my entire life...
  5. Right, and when he gets hurt, they need to have a back-up plan in place, because we all know he is going to spend excessive time on the IL at some point during the season. If we go in with only Perkins as our back-up CF, we will be in offensive trouble once again.
  6. All that aside, the injury risk is just too much to handle. I believe that a trade for Buxton will involve more filler than not because of that injury risk and money owed (even though what he is owed is a great value) Not a chance he is going to land any organization's top 20 prospects. I know you have ties to the Twins/Buxton, and your personal views on him are different than fans that aren't Twins fans, but Pena is WAY too much to give up for Buxton.
  7. Why? No matter what? Boy, that could be pretty dangerous...
  8. Nope, Pena has more value than that imo.
  9. Buxton's contract is very reasonable, but I can't see the injury risk being something we are willing to take on...
  10. That first sentence scares the bejesus out of me. No way I am including Pena or Adamczewski in that deal if we have to pay Buxton's entire contract. Nope, I wouldn't do it. That is way too much to offer for a guy that might only play 100 games for the next 3 years, or less for that matter. The second sentence makes me laugh. If Buxton plays a guaranteed 140 games per season the next 3 years, no way I still include Made in this deal...
  11. Personally, I am not including Mitchell in any future plans. He's proven time and time again he can't be counted on..........at all. It would be great if he can come through and offer something, but it's foolish to think it's going to happen without a major back-up plan. I agree, anything with Mitchell has to start in AAA, and if he proves he still has something to offer us, bring him back into the fold, but to count on him as one of our top 3 OF going in to 2026 is highly irresponsible. Perkins is NOT an every day player, I no longer trust Collins as an every day guy either. The way he tanked at the end of 2025 was pretty monumental, and then there is his late bloomer status, I simply don't trust him. We need another OF that can hit some homers, drive in runs, and hit someplace in the top 5 of the batting order. Collins and Perkins aren't those guys, and like I said earlier, neither is Mitchell until he proves otherwise.
  12. Diamondbacks general manager Mike Hazen told MLB Network that trading Ketel Marte is unlikely to happen this offseason. Hazen’s remarks at the annual general manager’s meetings directly contradict reporting earlier this week by USA TODAY’S Bob Nightengale that suggested the club is motivated to move Marte this offseason. The 32-year-old was an All-Star and Silver Slugger at second base this past season when he posted an .893 OPS with 28 homers in 126 games. He remains an early-round selection in all fantasy drafts heading into next season. Source: Jon Morosi
  13. Die My Love - not a must see movie unless you like to be depressed from the beginning of the movie to the end. - many scenes of JL naked, front and backside, I'm a little surprised she is willing to do that so often given her star status. - It's just not a good movie. I'm sure some of you with a different palette than myself will beg to differ, but if you are deciding between this movie and a different one, pick the different one.
  14. Who didn't see this coming with the glorification and legalization of gambling in pro sports? Real shocker.
  15. USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reports that “the Brewers are planning to keep” Freddy Peralta. There have been plenty of trade rumors swirling around Peralta, but the 29-year-old is signed for just $8 million next year, which is a major bargain. There is a chance the Brewers could look to trade him in the middle of the season if they are unable to contend, but, for now, it appears unlikely that Peralta will be on the move. Source: USA Today

  17. USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reports that free agent OF Kyle Tucker “will sign with the Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays or Los Angeles Dodgers,” according to multiple GMs. Tucker is the top free agent hitter on the market and will likely command the biggest deal. The Dodgers and Yankees both have openings in the outfield with Michael Conforto and Cody Bellinger now free agents, respectively. It will be interesting to see if any other teams can get involved in the bidding. Related Source: USA Today
  18. USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reports that “it would be a huge surprise” if Jarren Duran is with the Red Sox “come spring training.” The Red Sox have a full outfield with Roman Anthony, Ceddanne Rafaela, and Wilyer Abreu. They also have Jhostynxon García and Kristian Campbell at Triple-A, so the 29-year-old Duran certainly seems like the odd man out. Nightengale reports that “the Red Sox believe that they need an upgrade over Duran, and that he needs a fresh start.” His name seems likely to come up in rumors all offseason as the Red Sox look to acquire an impact starting pitcher. 19. The usual suspects... *sigh* Yeah, baseball isn't broken, when the only teams mentioned for all the big name free agents, are always the same ones... No one else even has a chance... *double sigh* Mark Feinsand of MLB.com speculates the Cubs, Dodgers, Yankees, Giants, Phillies and Mets are potential suitors for free agent Kyle Tucker. Feinsand notes that the Cubs will take a shot at retaining Tucker, while the Dodgers and Yankees represent a pair of big-market clubs with the financial resources and corner outfield vacancies to get involved in the sweepstakes surrounding the offseason’s most coveted position player. He adds that the Giants and Phillies would be landing spots if they decide to shake things up this offseason, while the Mets could be a landing spot if they’re unable to bring back Pete Alonso. The -year-old fantasy stalwart finished this past season with an .841 OPS along with 22 homers and 25 steals over 136 games as a hairline fracture in his right hand adversely impacted his on-field performance throughout much of the summer. It’ll be interesting to see whether he winds up settling for a short-term pact with an opt-out to potentially hit the market again in the near future.
  20. No one is forgetting about Mitchell, he just can't be counted on................................for anything......................EVER!
  21. Nope, not at all... We are pretty thin there as I just outlined in my post above.
  22. I don't think we are that well stocked at OF anymore. There was a time when we all thought we were loaded there (Mitchell, Wiemer, Frelick), but things change pretty quickly. We definitely can use the help in the OF because who is up next from the minors? Lara, but he isn't going to help a lot with the bat. Payne, hasn't sniffed A+ ball yet, so he's a ways away from helping the MLB team. After those two, we have no one else that is close to coming up and making an impact in the near future. Unless I am missing someone, we are thin at OF prospects that will have an impact in the next couple of years. Look at our current OF. Collins, Chourio, Frelick, Perkins, and I suppose loosely you can include Yelich (though I think that ship has sailed) Is Collins going to be the guy he was in the first half or was that a mirage? Chourio and Frelick are pretty much locks. Do we want Perkins starting for an extended period of time? After those 4, what do we have for 2026? Lockridge? Pass... I think we could easily add a big bat outfielder to this line-up, and yes, I do think it is a NEED not a luxury.
  23. Good to know, it's on my short list!
  24. Really enjoyed Bugonia!
