  1. He threw 17 pitches last night after throwing 10 pitches on Saturday. That's not being run into the ground.
  2. I'd much rather be able to drive right into the parking lot and deal with a QR code for a minute or two than sit in line for a half hour because everyone is paying with cash.
  3. Man, if Hall can come back and be a solid starter for the last two months of the season suddenly a potential playoff rotation of Rea, Peralta, Myers and Hall looks formidable.
  4. Burnes trade on display today with Hall and Ortiz contributing early.
  5. Oppo-shot for Turang? Baseball is weird, it's like this whole team flipped a switch before the Atlanta series and suddenly everyone is hitting.
  6. Doc About 1982 Milwaukee Brewers To Screen Exclusively In Wisconsin’s Marcus Theatres
  7. Brewers currently have a three digit positive run differential, third in MLB behind only the Yankees and Phillies.
  8. Yes, it was based on the Greek God Dionysus and a 17th century painting of him: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/article/2024/jul/29/olympic-last-supper-scene-based-painting-greek-gods-art-experts
  9. It had nothing to do with any of that. It was all imagery from Greek mythology, since that's where the Olympics originated.
  10. It is, but it's free and Roku is available on pretty much every device including just watching it through a web browser.
  11. One year of Burnes vs two and a half years of Crochet. That said, Crochet is already at his career high in innings, he's an arm injury waiting to happen.
  12. A lot of fringe major leaguers can hit AAA pitching. Clearly from what the Brewers saw from Keston's swing last year, they didn't think it would translate to major league success.
  13. Success in baseball is all about making adjustments. Hiura came up in 2019 and hit like gangbusters because the league hadn't figured him out yet. Once they realized he had a giant hole in his swing pitchers made adjustments to exploit it. Now it's on Keston to make the adjustments to combat it. Is it possible? Yes. Is it likely? Doubtful, since it's been four years and he still hasn't done it.
  14. Good thing there's an entire homestand before the break. 😉
  15. Brewers/Dodgers is actually the main game, Phillies/Braves is only going to the east coast: https://506sports.com/mlb.php?yr=2024&wk=12
  16. It's pretty amazing how quickly he destroyed his image as one of the best managers in the game, only took half a season. Yeah, he got an extra $2.5 million a year, but if they have another season like this, how long do you think they'll keep him around? Meanwhile the Brewers offered to make him the highest paid manager in the league and he had a job for life here if he wanted it. Really, after the success he had here, how many losing seasons would he have had to have as Brewers manager for them to actually fire him? He had so much goodwill built up with the fans and burned it in an instant for what?
  17. Brewers are only a game behind the Dodgers. A good weekend and they move into the 2 seed.
  18. Ortiz is back, Contreras at DH, Haase getting his first start
  19. Awesome shutdown inning by Rea after the Brewers got him the lead. Milner was throwing, guessing Murphy was going to the pen if anyone got on base.
  20. Bryse is only at 59 pitches. If the offense can score some runs he could finish the game and save the bullpen.
  21. Phillies are at 11.3% to win the World Series. https://www.baseball-reference.com/leagues/majors/2024-playoff-odds.shtml
  22. Baseball Reference has us as 99.5% to make the playoffs and 97.8% to win the division. They also have us at the fourth highest odds to win the World Series at 12.2% behind only the Dodgers, Yankees and Orioles.
  23. Kinda crazy how he flushed his legacy down the toilet for an extra $2.5 million a year. He essentially had job security forever in Milwaukee. With the success he had here it would have taken multiple back-to-back losing seasons for his seat to even get hot.
  24. Meanwhile you're cheering a team named after alcohol.
  25. Criminal that Matty V only gets one inning, I really wanted to hear him call a Brewer HR.
