  1. Hunter Pence seems like he is probably a swell guy, but I sure don't like him
  2. I assume you remember Lee's arm from his time with the Brewers. It's only gotten worse. Braun rounding 3rd with a full head of steam. A sac fly that deep would have given a guy with Braun's speed a decent chance of scoring
  3. Well we all knew that we weren't going to stay as hot as we have been, but if we are going to lose I would at least like to do it with our best line-up right now. Doesn't take much to see Hall has absolutely nothing going on at the plate right now. I understand that Macha wants to stay true to what he told Billy, but what happened to the "players write the line-up"? Shouldn't Gamel in in there then? Or even McGehee??
  4. 3 hits in the inning and we do not score. I sure thought Fischer should have sent Braun. Its Carlos for cripes sakes. Sure would have been nice to have Gamel up in that situation...
  5. Got my "McClung Like a Horse" t-shirt on (7-0 so far). We are golden
  6. Here are the lineups per TH: Brewers 2B Craig Counsell SS J.J. Hardy LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder CF Mike Cameron RF Corey Hart 3B Bill Hall C Jason Kendall RHP Jeff Suppan Astros CF Michael Bourn 2B Jeff Keppinger 1B Lance Berkman LF Carlos Lee RF Hunter Pence SS Miguel Tejada 3B Geoff Blum C Ivan Rodriguez RHP Roy Oswalt
  7. Thanks for the vs LHP lines guys. Should be interesting indeed. I have never been a huge Hart supporter. Mainly because of the way he can get lackadaisical in RF on getting to balls down in the corner or gap and how he sets up poorly behind fly balls on tag up situations. And his struggles last sept/oct at the plate did not help my view on him although we really had no other options at the time.
  8. The other part I like about this is when he is in the line-up we have another option in the leadoff spot. I, for one, am not a fan of Hart leading off although we don't have much of a choice unless Counsell is playing
  9. Totally forgot about Jody Reed. How could I? Just out of curiousity, anyone have a quick line on Gerut vs LHP?
  10. So is this our first ever "Jody"?
  11. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/45719117.html
  12. On a couple of positive notes, I thought McGehee looked pretty darn good against a tough customer tonight and looks solid defensively. And I love watching Mat swing the Batt so far!
  13. Hall could not look any more astonishingly lost up there lately. Wow. Just brutal. I know you are looking for a long ball there, but I was actually hoping they would PH Counsell to try to get Braun an AB
  14. I was just about to say that Corey had looked a lot better tonight than he has of late and he goes and strikes out on ball 4. It was a nasty pitch though
  15. On a somewhat related note although not necessarily to do with the current winning streak - the Brewers are 7-0 when I wear my McClung like a horse T-shirt so far this year
  16. Anyone else feel like we are "just missing" against Wandy? He doesn't appear to be all that sharp either and it seems like if he doesn't settle in we will have our shots against him. 2 hard hit balls for Casey and a fine defensive play. I think with more regular AB's he will be fine. And a BOMB by Cam!
  17. I would agree that it appears he has gained back at least a little of the weight he lost. He sure seems to be moving around well though. His footwork has been very good around the bag and dude can run the bases pretty darn well - a lot better than JJ thats for sure
  18. I'm sorry, but there is absolutely no way Prince is fatter than Coffey. Prince is a very large man, but even if he lost more weight than he already did in the offseason he would still look big because he just has a huge frame and thick bones. You can see in photos of Prince where he is finishing his swing that there really isn't a whole lot of flab there this year. Coffey on the other hand has lots a flabby stuff going on. Prince really is an amazing athlete - he just doesn't look it because he is so wide and being not all that tall makes him look even wide. I would venture to guess if they did a body fat test on the two of them it wouldn't even be that close. Coffey's would be much higher IMO
  19. I agree JJHardy7 - when that trade went down I was relieved that if we were giving up one of our young studs that it was LaPorta and not Gamel
  20. I think what really hurt us was Kapler being hurt and unavailable to spell Hart when he was beyond struggling. And Duffy is better defensively.
  21. The stein it ain't, but I kinda like it
  22. That ain't cool. Maybe that's why you have so many houses for sale around you
