    IIRC, wasn't there a lot of discussion about Jett not being set on a defensive home? Is the reason they're waiting to confirm that he can be an adequate 3B at the ML level?

    He's 26 going on 27. And he looked really good before he got hurt. He had a setback in spring training and is still ramping back up. I'm guessing that it was a planned short-ish start to begin with today.

    Unless you are out of market for your favorite team. Living in Denver, I'm subject to whatever games they choose to show locally as well as local regulations that often won't allow CBS/Fox to show the later game if the earlier game they show isn't the national game. So I would have to have something to stream those games. Plus Amazon Prime for the Thursday games. Plus Netflix for the Thanksgiving Eve and Christmas day games. And potentially Peacock for the Week 18 game if it's on a Saturday. So, that's: Cable/YouTube TV Prime Netflix CBS/Paramount Fox Sports Peacock Potentially six if I want to watch all Packers games.

NFL Network: Exclusive games, international matchups Netflix: Exclusive games, including a Thanksgiving Eve game and a Christmas doubleheader Amazon Prime Video: Exclusive Thursday Night Football Peacock: Exclusive Saturday night game Paramount+: Streaming all CBS games ESPN+: Streaming exclusive games They need to see what is happening to the WWE. They moved RAW to Netflix, have Smackdown on USA (cable), Saturday Night's Main Event on Peacock, and premium live events on ESPN Unlimited. And they're wondering why ticket sales were down for Wrestlemania.

    I'm sure the Dolphins, Texans, and Lions are not happy about playing in Green Bay in December and January.

    Good, I'll be back in WI for Christmas so I'll actually be able to watch it without having to subscribe. Bad, I'll have to watch it with my family. Good, my family encourages drinking on Christmas.

    And I'd like them to prove it first before wasting an option and potentially making him ineligible to play in 2027 if there is a lockout. Is something wrong with that?

    On April 23rd, Jesus Made had a 1.003 OPS. Today his OPS is .740. Sometimes it is a small sample.

    Chourio played CF almost exclusively in the minors. Almost 2,000 minor league innings in CF vs 70 innings in RF and 18 in LF.

    Luis Lara has 168 PAs at AAA where he has looked very good. Last year he had 612 PAs of .712 OPS in AA. Lots of guys have looked good with less than 200 PAs in AAA. I'd like to see the sample size bigger before burning an option on him.

    King has a really good changeup that LHBs have to respect and look for. Hides and tunnels it really well. For his career, coming into this game he had the exact same OPS vs. LHB as RHB - 0.650. Mitchell isn't the only LHB who has watched FBs from King go by down the middle.

    Would that be the first game of that "week" - i..e., Wednesday through Monday? If so, would it be possible to play the Thursday of the week prior?

    He pitched at least 5 innings in 8 of his first 9 starts. How is that "horridly inconsistent"? I know that ERA isn't the perfect stat, but since you brought up earned runs, when the Brewers acquired him he had a 5.01 ERA. Nine starts later his ERA was 4.50. His ERA over his first 9 starts with the Brewers was 3.55. How is that "below replacement"? Don't let his last two starts distort what was a very solid and needed acquisition.

    Former owner of the Braves, Ted Turner, passed away at age 87. One of the pioneers of cable TV networks, Turner's TBS brought Braves baseball to many outside of the Atlanta area, creating a nation-wide base of fans. He also managed the Braves for one day - May 11th, 1977. TBS and TNT also helped bring the NCAA tournament to more homes and for years have been the base of being able to broadcast all of the games nationally.. And his purchase of WCW wrestling and rivalry with Vince McMahon helped make professional wrestling the industry it is today, even if it wasn't that successful for him when he owned it.

    A light snow has been falling for almost 24 hours. Have a winter wonderland on the trees/shrubs/grass, but because it was in the 70s almost all April, the ground is warm and there is no accumulation on the streets.

    Thought of that. It would likely fill with too much water, pushing some soil over the edge and making a mess on my rooftop deck. Or the soil will run out of the bottom drainage holes with the excess water, making a mess on my rooftop deck. Have that. My air filter generates white noise. Thought it would be enough, but the water drops are very large and the tapping noise is too loud. Concerned I won't hear my alarm going off in the morning.

    I think there's some engineers on here, so maybe they can help me figure this out. Long story short - there is a spot where the gutters aren't capturing all of the rain. The rain is dripping off of a corner in very large drops, and of course it is hitting right above my bedroom (flat roof, slightly pitched to allow drainage). Because the drops are large, they make a loud tapping noise that makes it hard to fall asleep. I don't think there's anything that can be done about capturing the water, and I rent so I'm not spending a lot of money to fix it. It doesn't rain here much, so I have to deal with it less than 20 times a year. Is there any way to dampen the noise of the large drops hitting the roof? I tried putting an old patio table under it so it's not hitting the roof; it's not quite as loud, but still noticeable. If I raised one side of the patio table so that the drops are hitting at more of an angle, will that make it quieter? What would be a cheap way of solving for this?
