  1. I needed this today: https://apnews.com/article/wildlife-archive-b13335d5e7af11ef9afbbab0382d8fc2
  2. My seat is for sale, but this isn't
  3. I may regret buying a seat but don't regret this
  4. A team in need of a quarterback looking to trade up into the #1 spot would talk them into the trade, citing Darnold. Unfortunately for the Jets, Darnold is no Lawrence. I think assuming the Jets trade down is assuming a lot. God it must suck to be a football fan in New York. If they root for the right team, they've had two Super Bowl celebrations in the last 15 years.
  5. That's my guess. The Packers offense is pretty complex, and it takes a while to get on the same page as Rodgers. Plus, he needs to prove that he can pass block before he'll be trusted out there.
  6. Both were executed on artificial turf. Will the ball spin the same way on grass?
  7. That's why they invest in the TE position, the versatility and play action
  8. Could fumble on the next play
  9. Especially Winnebago County (Oshkosh, Neenah, Menasha) and Eau Claire
  10. This is exactly it.
  11. My brother-in-law is an administrator at a hospital system in northwest WI. I don't know about right now, but earlier this summer he said the biggest issue is reilly's #2. There aren't really that many COVID hospitalizations to overwhelm the system; it's predominantly the people who have avoided coming in for things that could have been prevented who waited too long. As for why people don't take basic precautions, I think its 1) they don't watch the news or only get their "news" from social media, and 2) if they don't personally know anyone who has died or been hospitalized/seriously ill, they don't believe it will happen to them. It's been over six months now, and if they don't know anyone who has been seriously infected by now they will start to tune out the message.
  12. Seems like every time the Brewers are on national TV we get the other team's announcers.
  13. If Rasmussen lets a guy on Hader is getting back up. You know Counsell isn't giving him a long leash.
  14. You don't know what is going to happen in game 2 so I have no issues with the decision to go with Hader on their best hitters. They have Knebel and Rasmussen for game 2. They could get blown out too, making saving Hader useless.
  15. Especially with Goldschmidt, Dejong, and Molina coming up. I wouldn't go with a lefty.
  16. It's quite possible that they profit on a per-game basis, but need a lot more than 60 games to cover the fixed costs (maintenance, insurance, security, debt repayments, non-team payroll, etc.). They also lost out on the fan revenue, so the per-game profit could be a lot lower than past years, needing even more games to cover fixed costs. Teams have very different revenue amounts from their TV contracts (Yankees vs. Brewers), so those TV contracts minus in-person fan revenue could be starkly different for different teams. They could very well be playing games to try to cover as much of their fixed costs and reduce losses as much as possible. Profit = (Fixed revenue + variable revenue) - (fixed costs + variable costs).
  17. There is a difference between "viable" and "best option". Herd immunity is certainly viable, and in today's world is probably not the best option. Both of these can exist at the same time.
  18. The fall roster was released today, and by far the biggest news is that starting strong safety Reggie Pearson is not on the roster. He sent out a cryptic tweet today that said, "Things will be addressed soon. #OnWisconsin". The fact that he said "On Wisconsin" suggests that he has no animosity towards the school. Maybe he opted out or has a family situation he needs to attend to. Fortunately, it's a position where they have a lot of depth (Burrell, Nelson, Wilder, Cone, Torchio, Toler, Blaylock, Mais). The next biggest news is that Jon Dietzen is back. Apparently he has returned for his last year of eligibility, having taken last year off to recover from injuries. With the losses of Biadasz, Erdmann, and Moorman, and the injuries to Lyles, having another experienced interior OL certainly won't hurt. No surprise, but Emmett Perry is no longer on the team. He and the other Texas WR from that class, Cade Green, each only saw action in one game in their career and never caught a pass.
  19. For all of those who want the Brewers to "sell high" on all of their relievers, what happens when you ignore or gut your bullpen to try to add offense is that you become the Phillies.
  20. You know it's 2020 when Eric Sogard doubles, Jace Peterson walks, and Christian Yelich strikes out in the same inning.
  21. Wait... is that a double-negative? It's late... time for some Ole' Smoky Apple Pie... Yes that is a double negative. Coffee in the morning, water during day, liquor at night (hehe) Lather, Rinse Repeat. I have things like milk for cooking and whatnot but I'm not a drinking a glass of milk kind of guy. No soda, ice tea, energy drinks, lemonade, or fruit juice?
