  1. Here you go: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/green-bay-packers/overview/_/year/2025 Your article quoted Spotrac. Look on the page - there is no allocation for their 2025 draft picks. Last I checked, draft picks count towards the cap. And there is no "cushion" allocation that they always go into the season with in case of injuries, needing to acquire someone, etc. So.... you're wrong.
  2. OTC also factors in a "cushion" that the team usually carries into the season in case they need/want to add someone, injury replacements, etc. Thus why they have it at $38M.
  3. Probably the same case with Jaire. If he doesn't pass a physical before being released they still owe him the money. Even if he does pass a physical, I'm sure he'll file a grievance and likely will find a doc to say that he can't pass a physical and they'll owe him the money anyway.
  4. Over the Cap has been proven to be the most accurate. It's literally what they do. And that page that you linked is 404. Ahem...
  5. $57M in effective cap space. But 22 free agents - Cam Robinson, Sam Darnold, Byron Murphy, Stephone Gilmore, Aaron Jones, Dalton Risner, Cam Akers, Camryn Bynum.
  6. Aaaaannnddd the Viqueens trophy case is still empty.
  7. Clock approaching midnight on Darnold and the Viqueens...
  8. Only $40M under the cap: https://overthecap.com/salary-cap-space The $65M does not include dead money or projected cost of their draft picks. Might be able to add about $7M for Alexander, but if he can't pass a physical they owe him the salary anyway and might make more sense to keep him and see if he can be ready for the start of the season.
  9. The Packers tied for the 8th most wins in the NFL with the 5th best point differential on the 3rd toughest strength of schedule in the league. Maybe they're not the Lions or Vikings or the Eagles, but the list of teams that are better Super Bowl contenders is not much longer than those three and the Packers aren't much more than a half-step below those three.
  10. With Watson unlikely to be healthy next year and Doubs possibly needing to medically retire, I don't think that any top WR is scared of Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, Malik Heath, or Bo Melton beating him out for WR1. They really need a veteran WR - #1 or not - to come in and teach these young guys the nuances of being a NFL WR, practice habits, paying attention to details, etc. Sometimes that needs to come from a peer, not a coach.
  11. I remember when he was on ASU and UW played them in a bowl game after the 2021 season. Daniels went 11-21, 159 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT. For the season he completed 65% of his passes with 10 TDs and 10 INTs. That was his junior year, 3rd year as a starter. Reminder that it often takes several years to develop as a QB, and that the system and supporting cast plays a big role as well. We shouldn't judge QBs as finished products after their sophomore years.
  12. Overall PFF grade of 78 this year, credited with only one sack and no QB hits. Played a lot better this year with Blazek as coach. OL coach last year was a disaster. I think 5th is about where he will go.
  13. Way too early, don't hold me to this in any way (but I'll take credit for it if I hit on any): 1st: Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss (replaces Alexander) 2nd: Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss (assuming Watson is not back or still injured) 3rd: Seth McLaughlin, C, Ohio State (assuming Myers is not back or injured) 4th: O'Donnell Fortune, CB, South Carolina (replaces Stokes/Ballentine) 5th: Jack Nelson, OT, Wisconsin (replaces Dillard/upgrades Telfort) 6th: Darius Alexander, DT, Toledo (assuming Slaton is not back) 7th: Joshua Gray, OG, Oregon State (competes with Glover/Telfort) 7th (comp): Teddye Buchanan, LB, Cal (assuming at least one of Wilson/McDuffie is not back)
  14. Losing multiple starters to injury (some by questionable at best hits by Philly) Absolute horsecrap officiating job including a turnover that should have been overturned Two bad INTs (I don't count the last one - down two scores you have to take a shot), two bad personal fouls That the game was as close as it was is a miracle.
  15. It's not the reason they lost, but this was one of the biggest Mickey Mouse officiating jobs I've seen in a long time.
  16. Let's just start spearing them. Hell, the refs aren't calling it, so let's put a helmet right into Lane Johnson's shoulder so that he can't use his right arm.
  17. That's the second time that someone on PHI has basically speared a Packers player. The LB just drilled his helmet into Jenkins' shoulder.
  18. Someone help me understand how this isn't targeting.
  19. 1) Genuine question - if Tom is better than Walker, why is Tom playing RT and Walker LT? B) I'll argue that an average LT is harder to find than a good RT.
  20. Correct. He's the principal owner, not the majority owner.
  21. So are OLB/DE Aaron Witt and DT Ben Barten. The last of the COVID 6th year guys; they got 2020 as a COVID year and 2021 as a redshirt.
  22. The last thing you want to do is draw a penalty. If there is a penalty on the defense, the offense automatically gets another play even with no time left on the clock.
  23. If he isn't ready by Opening Day that doesn't really mean anything. He could be really close, only 2-3 weeks away and be mostly ramped up. They may also not want him pitching in cold weather right away in April and may send him on a "rehab assignment" to Biloxi to keep him loose and bring him back up when it's warmer to be safe. Only real ones to avoid are the opening series at NYY, 3 at Colorado in mid-April (the two night games, not necessarily the day game), 4 at SFG, and CWS at end of April. Two of the three at STL are day games, so should be safe there.
  24. I hear you on that, but if they play too far up and a WR gets over the top for a 30 yard gain then it's an easy chip shot FG. Even from where they were, a 51 yard FG is no gimme in GB in January. To your point though, if they give up a deep pass do they have enough time to get everyone 30 yards down the field and set before clocking it?
  25. Agreed, and the guy who best fits that description came down with the flu on Saturday and didn't play.
