  1. I think it was in response to a question asked by the media about catching the Brewers.
  2. You'd think it would be pretty high based on how much kvetching I've seen online about cutting UDFAs who look good in the 2nd half of preseason games.
  3. Tyler Black quietly putting up a .918 OPS over the last 28 days.
  4. Coleman Shelton, starting center, 31. Kevin Dotson, guard, turns 30 in 3 weeks. If they do have injuries, good luck with cap space to be able to add anyone; they currently have $5M in effective cap according to OTC, but OTC has Aaron Donald with a cap number of $10M plus $10M in per-game roster bonus.
  5. Seems like everyone's against it except for LSU and an elected judge in Louisiana.
  6. I'm sorry that the front office and coaching staff have ruined your life by not winning a Super Bowl in the last seven years. I'd love to engage in rational, intelligent discussion about the Packers but all you do is whine and complain about every little thing about MLF that does not matter. Congrats on being the 7th poster I've ignored.
  7. Anything to criticize MLF, whether warranted or not, whether fair or not. You're fairly predictable.
  8. I see that you expect him to have a crystal ball. Your expectations are fairly high.
  9. The NFL didn't do that yesterday.
  10. Colts waive Colby Wooden. Packers get Franklin essentially for free.
  11. Packers apparently trading for Steelers RB Kaleb Johnson...
  12. Bears apparently soured on former 2nd round pick Gervon Dexter, trading him to the Falcons for a 5th round pick and a former 4th round CB who played in 1 game last year and has started 7 games in 3 seasons, five of them in his 2023 rookie season.
  13. Keep in mind that they have cut all of the long snappers before only to resign one a day later after they put someone on IR in order to keep an extra player at another position without exposing them to waivers. Seems unlikely that Ozrech is ready to go. Could be a way to try to keep Sturdivant or Campbell.
  14. True, but at least you are getting this game today. I get Yankees - Red Sox.
  15. Smack quietly a perfect 6-6 on FGs and XPs yesterday. 9-9 on FGs and 7-7 on XPs in the preseason.
  16. McCord making some really tough decisions. Wouldn't be surprised if they IR-R Savion Williams, keep Sturdevant as the 6th WR, and keep 3 QBs. QB - 3 (Love, Taylor, McCord) RB - 3 (Jacobs, Lloyd, Brooks) TE - 3 (Kraft, Smith, Whyle) WR - 6 (Watson, Golden, Reed, Melton, Moore, Sturdivant) OL - 9 (Morgan, Banks, Rhyan, Monk, Zach B-B, Belton, Burton, Williams, one of Jennings/Kinnard) DL - 6 (Wyatt, Hargrave, Brooks, McClellan, Brinson, Ford) OLB - 5 (LVN, Sorrell, Cox, DDS, Oliver) ILB - 5 (Franklin, Cooper, McDuffie, Hopper, Niemann) CB - 5 (Nixon, Cisse, Valentine, BS-J, Jackson) S - 5 (McKinney, Williams, Bullard, Oladapo, Hadden) Specialist - 3 (Smack, Whelan, Adomitis) Sweating bullets today - Kinnard, Jennings, Jackson, Moore, Melton.
  17. You don't think that missing Tucker Kraft, Zach (formerly Tom) B-B, and Devonte Wyatt contributed to that?
  18. Lost among the headlines of PCA's day was Gausman's line: 5 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 2 BB, 7 K, 2 HRs That's not going to get it done in the playoffs. 2-R HRs given up in the 2nd and 3rd inning.
  19. There is only one #20 in Brewers history:
  20. And Torres is also Rule 5 eligible, so I wonder if this puts him in play to be protected. Teams have been known to take a flyer on LH SPs who they can stash in the bullpen for a year.
  21. I don't think it's about "getting it". Since he was out of the lineup from 5/28 to 6/5 he's been very good - .878 OPS in June, struggled a bit in July, now .808 OPS in August. My guess is that he was having more issues with his eye early in the season and had more eye therapy done from 5/28 to 6/4. The team likely cannot reveal that because it is protected health information under HIPAA. Eye injuries often do not fully heal.
  22. That's not what I'm referring to. "Overcharging" is, like you mentioned, charging a felony instead of a misdemeanor for example. Usually the difference between charges is the intention of the person being charged - did they intend to commit the crime? Is it murder or manslaughter? The difference is the intention of the person being charged. But they still have evidence. You blew .06; you were, technically, drinking and driving, and they had evidence to prove it. People can still be convicted of DUI even if they are below .08 depending on their behavior - did they blow a stop sign, did they cross the center line, did they endanger someone else, etc. Chances are you did something to warrant them pulling you over in the first place. They were trying for the DUI because of the intention of drinking and driving and behavior causing them to pull you over. But you were absolutely drinking and driving, and they had evidence to prove it. I'm referring to not having evidence to support the charge. The example in your case would be that their breathalyzer didn't work, or you were driving erratically but blew 0.00. There is not enough evidence to support the charge.
