  1. If Yi wants to be the 'star' he might as well go back to China. Last night was a heartbreaker. The last 3 opponents are shooting well over 50% from outside, and it's almost impossible to win when that happens.
  2. A 1 year deal with a team option would have been awesome for us. Saito might be the best in the game when he's healthy.
  3. If by underrated, you mean that he has actually been successful a few times digging out errant throws, I agree with you. Prince is about the worst I've seen at digging out throws. He's at a disadvantage because of his body type, but the way he swipes at it compounds the problem ten-fold.
  4. I forgot this guy was even a free agent. Is anyone even showing any interest in him? I know the Mets were the pre-offseason favorites.
  5. I'm not even really interested in Mulder, but I'm really getting sick of seeing this about every FA were allegedly interested in.
  6. Warner Bros needs to release Heat on Blu-Ray immediately. The quality on the original is terrible.
  7. Hear hear. He's a freeky looking guy.
  8. Is Broxton the closer out in LA, or am I forgetting someone? You'd think they would want Broxton to SU and have Hoff close.
  9. He's the kind of guy that does want to play through everything, but it was an absolute no-brainer to shelve him. Rickie shouldn't have had any say after they found the injury. We were pretty much out of contention and he was really tailing off because of its effects. Oh well. What's done is done.
  10. He was arguably our best hitter on that 2005 team up until the injury, and there's no doubt in my eyes he was a better hitter when he first came up before the injury than he is now.
  11. I was reading through the postgame thread on RealGM and a guy made a great point. The lottery is a freakin' crapshoot. The Raptors GM is under fire right now, and someone over there said if they didn't "luck" out and win the lottery that year, and rather drafted in the 3-6 range, they would have had a chance to draft a guy like Brandon Roy, who has turned into an elite player. The same could probably be said about the Bucks in 2005 about Chris Paul. A lot of it is being in the right slot at the right time.
  12. This cannot be emphasized enough. When did this guy turn 40? Redd has picked it up as of late. He started the game cold last night (he's still seeing and missing a ton of wide open 3's), but he gets to the line and is our best scorer. Nice game for him last night. Bargnani looked pretty good last night. He'd be a good player if he was used correctly. The Bucks really need a guy like him who can hit open 3's.
  13. I'd say that's a fair comparison.
  14. I've seen several people say this, so I don't mean to single you out, but Weeks is a patient hitter. In college, every step of the minors, and even in the pros. I've been watching a lot of his '05 and '06 at-bats and he had basically the same approach back then. But instead of always being down 0-2 like he is now, he was usually up 2-0 or 2-1 and was able to drive fastballs. Pitchers have definitely been pitching him different the last 2 years, and he should be adjusting. He needs to jump on the first pitch fastball a lot more often imo. When he leads off an inning he's usually letting the best pitch go by nearly every at-bat.
  15. Ehh. Seems a bit much considering the market. Sveumrules is right. This signing has the potential to be a disaster for the Cubs. Maybe a Zambrano v. Bradley dugout fight?
  16. I've recently bought a PS3 for myself, and a Blu Ray DVD Player for my parents, and I've gotta admit, I feel a little cheated after seeing this: http://www.vudu.com/ It's cheaper than BD, has more titles, and doesn't seem to sacrifice any quality. Anyone own this yet?
  17. I would sit Bogut out this game. His back is killing him. And we still have a decent chance to beat this team without him.
  18. They have been playing some really good ball lately, sans the 2nd half of the Pistons game. I'm thinking I'll go to the game Friday with that promotion they have going. (30 for a ticket and all you can eat food). Redd played better last night, but missing wide open 3's is getting really old. His shot has no arc right now, and the long rebounds are leading to fast break pts for the opposition. He's never had so many open looks in his career and he's choking bad. A guy like Kapono or Korver would be so much better for this team, not to mention the money you would save compared to Redd.
  19. For a guy who supposedly hates having people approach him, you'd think Ueck would lose the shades while indoors. Who does that besides someone drawing attention to themselves?
  20. Just bought an alternate Dice K, Joe Morgan, and Reggie Jackson Angels all for 61.00. I'm glad I finally clicked on this thread.
  21. Landry is an excellent return for Charlie V. We're in a terrible spot with him. He either continues to play like he always has (inconsistent) and we don't resign him, or he plays great, and most likely becomes someone else's mistake after he prices himself out of the Bucks limit and gets paid. He's played very good that last month, so we'd be selling at his peak. Landry has a very team friendly deal, and is most likely the better player anyway. I don't like giving up Lue though, but that's not a big deal.
  22. Strikes. I didn't walk in 10 runners a game, which by default made me one of the better pitchers in little league. But yeah I always threw really slow, especially after I hit a batter in the head and developed a Matt Wise like fear of doing it again. Now, I can throw in the upper 60's when I'm loose. And I agree, everyone does seem to have a good arm around here. Hmm.
  23. I was in the same position as you last year at UWM, Glennron. I turned 21 in June, and the novelty of going to bars wore off by July. I just don't think I'll ever have as much fun drinking as I did when I was in high school or as a freshman in the dorms. I actually enjoyed going to the Michigan Indian Casinos before I was 21. It was usually pretty easy to win money and the crowd those places draw is always good for a laugh.
  24. Same here. Got through the first few chapters today and it's pretty entertaining.
