  1. I am not always a fan of Morgan's antics but for a team with guys like Carpenter, Molina and LaRussa to continually imply the Brewers are classless really annoys me. The Molina picture above says it all about him, Carpenter is a guy who annoys even a fair amount of Cards fans, and LaRussa runs his mouth all the time.
  2. More Greinke comments "Ease up. Being the #2 starter on the Kansas City Royals carries with it pressures that would break an ordinary man." That is pretty classy too huh
  3. Wait didnt Chris Carpenter drop an F-bomb toward T-Plush. So they shouldnt want him in the World Series either
  4. Steve Phillps? What the hell does this mean? And slight racist overtones as well.. Stay classy, and get the damn caps lock fixed I am pretty sure it is Brandon Phillips. They don't like him because he had the audacity to call out the Cardinals last year. It is classy to hold a grudge
  5. Loe would've been brought in with two outs, so they didn't need a double play there. I also never want to see him face a lefty again in a meaningful game.Yep with two outs it wouldnt have made sense, especially against a lefty
  6. Wow you seriously hate Yuni. He had a good clean hit. Sure it wasnt a rocket but it wasnt a weak hit. No one is taking away that great hit away from Hairston. He did get robbed but you dont have to act like Yuni closed his eyes and stuck the bat out and accidentally hit the ball. He was bad this year but who cares right now. He is our SS and he had some big hits during the series. He will be the whipping boy for many if something goes wrong in the next round but he made some plays that helped us get through round 1.
  7. You forgot replacing Weeks and Hat on defense but still leaving Yuni in. It is unfortunate but I feel the same way. We won but his decision making has been pretty suspect. Weeks movement is limited, Hart is slow in the field and Morgan is better than him. Those were really good moves not to mention the fact it allowed Axe to go two innings To Glenrons points. 1. Was questionable. 2. Weeks needs to lay the bunt. He has bunted enough in his life and he has not swung the bat well. 3. Loe is a ground-ball pitcher so with runners on he is a good guy to put in.
  8. Since the start of September the Brewers are 18-12 and St. Louis is 21-10. Not that different of records. St. Louis' hotness was made to look a little better by Atlanta's epic collapse. St. Louis has been very good but only about 2 games better than the Crew
  9. Well, we had predictions for every month during the year so why not for each series? This series makes me nervous but I still going to pick the Brewers in 7. I think we win 3 of 4 at home and take one on the road. I like that we have Greinke at home against a team he has had decent success against. The lineups mirror each others so much. Some really big bats. Some guys who are scrappy. Big players in the series - Weeks and Hart for the Crew. They need these two to produce to have a chance. Braun and Prince (for the most part) did their job in the first series. I would say Holliday and Furcal for the Cards. Holliday is coming off an injury and Furcal has been terrible against everyone but us.
  10. A effort from Ron last night. He pushed the right buttons. I actually think we could see that same OF if we make the World Series for games we need a DH. Axford staying was brilliant. He really only gave up one solid hit in the 9th. There was a bloop and the bunt. Saito looked great. I probably would have pulled KRod in the 8th because he looked like he just didnt have it but it worked out. The squeeze play is on Prince in my mind. When your manager is screaming at you to watch the squeeze and you are that late getting there something was wrong.
  11. He has to have bruises all over his body. Lucroy played a terrific game. Yo was bouncing almost all his curveballs but Lucroy did a terrific job. Some here were calling him the player of the game last night
  12. Cracked Bat Collector posted this in the in game thread. Here is Uecker's call.
  13. Shouldnt a classy team act like it is no big deal because they have done it before?
  14. I read Greinke and Gallardo for sure in games 1 and 3. Games 2 and 4 were TBD. I cant imagine Wolf pitching game two so i would say your rotation looks correct.
  15. The Cardinals offense does not have many easy outs in it, but I agree the pitching staff is very hittable. Carpenter wont go until game 3. We get Garcia, Jackson, then Carp and then Lohse. I like our chances in getting at least two of those. If we stay patient at the plate we can get runs off guys like Garcia and Jackson. Garcia has pitched well against in the past but he is hittable. We did well against Jackson this year and did pretty well against Carp. Pujols and Holliday scare me a lot. They always seem to get hits against us as does Furcal. Furcal had an OBP of .227 in the first round but something tells me it will be around .400 against the Crew if the regular season was any indication. We played a very good hitting team in the first round and found a way to win, so here's to doing it again. I cant wait for this series to start. Win the first one and I feel really good about our chances.
  16. Please, Please hit Morgan with a pitch! That just puts a runner on for Braun and Prince!
  17. I like that they have a worse record than us so we get home field
  18. Yo was great but I have to give it to Braun. All he did was sport an OPS 1.460. He got on base 12 of the 21 times he got to the plate. Not to mention cutting the run down in the first game of the series. Yo was really good as well but Braun gets my vote
  19. I love some of the Cubs love in this thread
  20. This thread is fun to look back at right now!!
  21. My thoughts exactly!
  22. Yeah there is no reason to celebrate when you win the first division championship in almost 30 years
  23. Weeks and Yuni get trashed but Prince's at bat was huge as well. He needed to move the runners there
  24. Ryan Braun is my hero. Even his walks impress me. Lets go Prince
