  1. We are disastrous 7-8. Every no team (unless they are playing us is disastrous at 9). Including 5 is crazy. Shaw struggled for a month but still has an ops over .800 and has been very good the last week plus. Honestly wouldn't say Saladino is disastrous either. Machado and have saldino at 2b and then have Miller, Perez Braun or Thames off the bench is pretty solid. Really just become below average at catcher
  2. Easy to do with Jeffress or Hader available... Both were used. Sure but Taylor Williams was available and he has been great lately
  3. I am actually a pretty big counsell defender but that was inexcusable right there. After two guys reached Corey should have been out
  4. Honestly it is obvious Corey doesnt have it. Get someone else in there
  5. With football replay I feel pretty confident they will make the right call. With baseball it is 50/50
  6. How do you strikeout looking there? A fly ball or even a grounder not right at someone gives you the lead...
  7. This team swept the twins and then took 3 of 4 from the braves and people were talking about how great they were playing. Now they are about to lose 4 of 5 and this team isn't good. Man the emotional rollercoaster must be rough
  8. Who are other as? Escobar? The Brewers could turn to 2b but SS is the real weak spot or catcher. I like that Nottingham doesn't look lost at the plate
  9. I think some are undervaluing the improvement Machado brings to the lineup. I know Saladino has had his moments but he isn't great. Machado would allow Miller to start at 2b and Saladino, Perez and Villar to be bats off the bench. With the way thames is swinging the bat and with shaw turning a corner the last week this lineup 1-5 is great. Put Machado in there and Miller more frequently this lineup goes 7 deep with catcher being the one bad spot. I get not wanting to give up Burnes. That would be crazy in my mind. However guys like Ortiz and Phillips should definitely be on the table. I would be fine grabbing a guy like Dozier who I think would do well in Milwaukee but we still would have a huge issue at SS. Dozier could allow us to also pursue a pitcher which I do think is something we need.
  10. Can Barnes go out for another inning? He has looked good and could really save the bullpen
  11. Nottingham got run up on a pitch that was worse than either of those last couple but that was on Peralta
  12. Watching Sadadino and Perez bat I am definitely coming around to Machado. 6, 7 and 8 are bad right now
  13. I haven't sifted through everything but has brown been linked in the trade? I know woodruff and Phillips have.
  14. I’ll be honest about it, I’m not all that thrilled with the idea. I don’t think it pushes us nearly to where we need to be so giving up quality prospects for him kinda stinks to me. I know I’m in the minority... So drastically improving our worst offensive position when we are currently the team with the best record in the no doesn't get us where we need to be? I think some people decided this team wasn't good enough at the start of the year but haven't noticed how good they actually are. If you are a top 4 team in your league you can win a world series. The Brewers are easily top 4 right now
  15. Huh? Shaw has struggled the last month but he still has an OPS of 800. Braun is much closer to being a whipping boy than Shaw. At least shaw is walking and hitting a few sac flys. Braun isn't doing anything
  16. I would say what keeps him from being TOR is his inability to go deep in games. Just over 5 innings per start is not TOR material. Scherzer and others who are TOR guys averages an inning an a half more per start. That is a huge difference.
  17. If Machado only costs woodruff as a headliner I am in. If we can improve this team a ton without losing Burnes or Huira that would be great. I think woodruff is solid but probably overrated by some Brewer fans
  18. Chatwood is terrible. Can't get past the 5th and his era is approaching 5. How much longer do they give him?
  19. Are you saying chatwood has been an excellent investment or the defense? Chatwood has been bad. Mid 4s era. Hasn't made it past 5.1 innings since April and only has one start over 6 on the season. What about that is excellent
  20. Cubs number two. I'm shocked we are still in first. Cubs seem to be good at everything. Hugely up in run differential. Maybe bullpen? That change soon I'm sure as we get to the trade deadline. The Cubs starting pitching has not been great. Quintana, chatwood, and Hendricks all have eras over 4.2. Montgomery has come back to earth. Darvish wasn't good when healthy. Only Lester is pitching well. Brewers starters Guerra Chacin Peralta and Anderson are all under 4
