  1. We setup YoutubeTV to record all olympic coverage. It grabs whatever it can from the the multiple Olympic channels. Not sure if I missed anything, yet. Plenty of Curling, women's hockey, luge and snowboarding so far.
  2. Was it a real Mustang, or on of those new electric Mustangs knock offs?
  3. Wash, rinse and repeat...
  4. No doubt, and aided by the fact that they sold beer at the Coliseum. Speaking of which, I don't remember a single third period of any hockey game I attended. Good times! Well done. I see what you did there...
  5. This is akin to the Dane County Coliseum with hockey. Of course, I was in the band back in the day, so if I sat in the front row, I could lean over the glass. Too fun.
  6. I was in the top deck for the game against Iowa. I think the temperature outside was 5 degrees. The crowd, including me, was more in "watch like I was at home" mode at times except for... When Fran starting have a Frantrum When the Badgers lead was getting cut. At that point, the crowd started to get louder to in an effort to "help them along..." Johnny Davis would make a spectacular play Why they / we might have been quiet: The Student Section typically makes a lot of noise during the game. There weren't many students there. Everybody was required to wear a mask. It is tough to make a lot of noise while wearing them. For me, that did take away, a little, from the experience. That said, it is a little sad when, at times, I could hear Brad Davison being loud (calling for the ball, etc.). It is sad because the place wasn't loud enough that I could hear him. It was cool, though, that he was being that loud, though. That talks more about the player he is. He wasn't angry, it was more about calling for the ball, or directing the team.
  7. Agree. Mostly just bringing up to note how good the team's performance has been so far. Northwestern tonight tips as a Q1 game. A Badger win might knock it back to Q2, but I think it'll be a close one. Cats are playing pretty well right now. I'd still take UW -2, but they're just slight favorites for a reason. I was surprised to see that Northwestern beat Michigan State in East Lansing. Johnny is ready for another huge game.
  8. Does anybody else get burnt when looking at a calendar that starts with Monday on the left and ends on Sunday? I'm used to the Sunday through Saturday week view. Uggh
  9. The name of the place reminded me of this from Caddyshack...
  10. Way back around 2000, I bought some Altec Lansing ADA-305 computer speakers. They still sound awesome today! https://www.amazon.com/Altec-Lansing-ADA305-PowerCube-3-Speaker/dp/B00000JBJW?dchild=1
  11. That weird call in the beginning of the game on Wahl (?) where he was called for a flop? There was no flop and not as bad as flops later in the game. Geesch!
  12. Ok... sounds a little weird, but she is getting paid to do it. Not sure if it is cultish, but she is using this a chance to see Wisconsin, too. Not sure I would do it unless they paid me a bunch of money.
  13. Maybe some of the "over the table" NIL money will require them to participate in the bowl game?
  14. I almost puked when I saw that... not sure why.
  15. Random Person: "What are you doing this weekend?" Samurai: "Why, working, of course! I should get about 20 hours in this weekend."
  16. Yes, but was she wearing a onesie at the time?
  17. Give me my locals, ESPN channels, Big Ten, FS1 / FS2, NFL Network, MLB Network, and Bally's and I would be a happy camper. I wouldn't mind beIN, too.
  18. 10:57PM... ESPN on YouTubeTV "You are no longer subscribed to this channel..." It is for realz!!!!! Better head for the hills. The zombie apocalypse is upon us. Oh... can't watch replays either. Buncha jerks...
  19. Gophers have been selling out the entire game vs. the run. They are challenging Mertz to beat them and he is unable to do it.
  20. I dunno... Ohio State has so much offensive firepower. OSU 42, Michigan 17. We'll see.
  21. It bothers me when Project Managers say, "All hands on deck" for an IT project. However, when it comes to working on the weekends or working all nighters, it is the project managers that are sitting on their decks sipping chardonnay.
  22. How does he know that he's allergic to something that he's never had? Did he participate in some mRNA vaccine clinical? [sarcasm]Not sure. HIPAA be damned...[/sarcasm]
  23. So, if he is allergic to the mRNA portion of Pfizer and Moderna, and saw J&J getting pulled off of the "CDC" shelves, what would you propose he do? I suppose he could have just sat there and did nothing, but he did get a treatment, just not one of the American mainstream ones.
  24. Perhaps the same as a pitcher and an "out getter?" I think this is the same type of shift in paradigm that has been permeating the game. The Cubs hiring Justin Stone from Elite Baseball is an example of this. My son is part of a Milwaukee-based academy that is using more Hittrax and Blast technology to help with his swing in areas such as time to the ball, swing speed, etc. It has certainly helped. It also helps that the owner is a baseball nut!!! Using technology like this also takes more of the guesswork out of "what makes a good swing." While I don't think there is a hard and fast "perfect swing," I think there are some fundamental mechanics that can be measured using technology. You still need somebody who can translate the data into training a player to implement the swing. I have seen it work. That said, if you don't have the horses, you can train a ball player to have a perfect swing, and it will never really work due to the lack of talent. Look at statistics -- there are new statistics that didn't exist before -- ERA+, SIERA, FIP, xFIP, WTFIP (just kidding). It only makes sense that math and technology can be used to increase a players skill level.
  25. There must have been a lot of crappy ingredients when he was fired from the Cubs, I guess.
