  1. I agree. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. I was just killing a couple hours and thought it would be ok. One thing bothered me in the end, but I won't mention any spoilers. I will try not to spoil too much. I will say that the origin is not based on Secret Wars (comic sits upstairs). It was cleaner than I thought it would be. At times, it was creepy, but not too creepy.
  2. Seems like trying to move the runner to third by swinging away hasn't worked out well... Hmmmm...
  3. This is my feeling exactly. It almost seems like they are tired.
  4. I know this has been used before... but... LET’S GOOOOOOOOOO!
  5. How about why didn't Moose bunt? When? Moose's at bats: 2nd inning, runner on 1st, 0 out 4nd inning, runner on 1st, 0 out 6th inning, runner on 1st, 1 out 8th inning, runner on 1st, 2 out 11th inning, lead off 13th inning, runner on 1st, 2 out Arcia's at bat in question: 7th inning, runner on 2nd, 0 out. Hader had not yet pitched at that point. Bunt, move Pina to third with one out. As it turns out, Granderson came in and hit a fly ball. True, that didn't guarantee the run would score, but I would have liked to have seen Counsell go "old school" to try and get that runner to third with one out. Score the run and get to Hader and Knebel to close it out.
  6. Would this be the place to revise the "why didn't Arcia bunt" thread?
  7. [sarcasm]Aw, c'mon... Hornibrook is a great quarterback.[/sarcasm] I thought the offensive line played better than the score indicated. Michigan stepped up tonight. Bush-league call on "roughing the snapper." IMHO, it was a game changer.
  8. R - E - L - A - X
  9. Down to 8...
  10. MLB.TV provides free access for those who have accounts with select streaming services. It looks like the NLDS list has been expanded because I do not remember seeing Playstation Vue on there previously. https://www.mlb.com/live-stream-games/subscribe/postseasonus#device-list I don't know if there is a Hulu app for your mobile device or not. I had to work concessions at a high school football game on Friday, but was able to watch the game on my phone with PSVue. It was not very busy at the concession stand... You might be able to watch it through the Hulu app.
  11. [sarcasm]Well, you have been caught. We knew you were a robot all along... [/sarcasm]
  12. My family has a cabin in Florence and unfortunately we get Michigan programming (which makes sense) however when we go out for our Friday fish fry the vast majority are Brewers fans Our cabin is just north of Dunbar in Florence county. We can get Wausau once in a while. The stations there seem to focus more on high school sports than anything else.
  13. I'll go for something even more crazy... 2018 World Series Champions ... but I get ahead of myself...
  14. Yes... and no. Granderson has been in these situations more than anybody else on the roster. He can be trusted to not lose it mentally, even though he does not have the skills he used to have. I could see Granderson getting some time in the field.
  15. I went there during the all-nighter two nights ago. They were very, very busy up until 11:00PM from what I understand. That might be why they didn't answer. They said items would be trickling in as demand stays high. I agree with the previous poster -- keep on calling. Fortunately, I was able to get the last XL "Let's GOOOOOOOOO" shirt in stock.
  16. As I was watching the game last night, it seemed that the Cubs were more apt to take a Three Possible Outcomes (3PO) approach to their at bats. Maybe it is because I focused solely on Javy Baez [sarcasm]since he is the most exciting player in baseball.[/sarcasm] When the Rockies scored the go ahead run, the batter was not trying to hit the ball hard on two strikes -- he was trying to put the ball in play. Likewise, looking at a lot of Brewers hitters, they do much better when they a) focus on more on contact with two strikes; and b) use all fields. During the World Series two years ago, one point of focus was on how the Astros had reduced their team strikeout totals. In 2016, they K'd 1452 times. In 2017, they K'd 1087 times. This season, the Astros k'd 1197 times. This year, 3 of the teams with the fewest K's made the playoffs. (Note... it is a little bit of apples vs. oranges with AL and NL teams since NL teams hit the pitcher). How about the Brewers? Last year, they K'd 1571 times (worst in MLB). Ouch. This year, they reduced the number to 1458 (still 24 out of 30 teams). Not as significant as the Astros, but a push in the right direction. Maybe it is because David Stearns is looking for players that will put the ball in play more often. I know this is only one part of what makes a team go, but the approach the Cubs seem to have at the plate vs. the Brewers seems much different. I am liking the approach at the plate for the Brewers. Let's GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  17. I haven't found it. I'll keep hitting refresh... LOL!
  18. I can watch the condensed game, but not the full broadcast. It says I need to subscribe. Oh well... thanks, though!
  19. BF.NET Community.... I can't find the replay. Poor DVR skills kept me from recording the game. Does anybody know where I can see the game? It isn't on ESPN, yet, from what I can tell.
  20. Psst... just wanted to let everybody know... [sarcasm]The Cubs and Brewers do not have a rivalry.[/sarcasm]
  21. Have you watched RB #2/3 option this year? Its the worst I've seen in over 20years. Also stat earlier this season was Taylor-0rec last season. Maybe because on the next pass play to Taylor he absolutely bobbled and dropped the pass. So he's a 2down back with best offensive talent to score for your offense. Hand him the ball 1st/2nd downs is what they can only do. The Garbage after him dont leave WI with a running 3rd down&distance to go too often. The offensive threats this year aren't there. Taiwan Deal is fine. The Badgers have historically been inept at catching the ball out of the backfield. The problem with the Badgers this year is the lack of imagination from the play caller. At some point, even if they can continually run between the tackles, you need to do something a little different. A fly sweep here, a play action pass there, and things loosen up.
  22. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2798092-mlb-teams-international-dealings-reportedly-under-federal-investigation I don't think the Crew would be on this list. Why would a Federal Grand Jury be required? Couldn't MLB handle this internally?
  23. You could throw the Washington Nationals in there if you don't count their appearance as the Expos. Another thing to note -- neither the Mariners nor the Nationals have ever been to a World Series. Marlins have been to the playoffs twice -- both times they won the entire thing. Wow... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Major_League_Baseball_postseason_teams
  24. Also my prediction. Unfortunately, I'm on board with this one as well. Cubs win the division because Shildt will be a deer in headlights. Cubs will do just enough, or the Brewers will stub their toe just enough to allow the Cubs to have the title. That said, I am on the Cardinals bandwagon now. C'mon Carpenter! [sarcasm]Mods... please feel free to delete this post after the playoffs so I won't be on record for being a Cardinals fan... [/sarcasm]
