  1. It's obviously pretty frustrating, but I think I'll be more worried if it continues when Cameron is back and has a decent amount of AB's. I'm really not worried about Fielder too much, and I doubt Hardy's going to have any stretch like his first 3 months last year so it's hard to be too disappointed in him. However I'm a little worried about Braun's and Hall's approach, but it's been 12/13 games for them.
  2. I'm really curious as to what Yost was thinking at the beginning of the season by having Hall ahead of Hart. I know one difference in the lineup isn't huge, but the only argument you could really make is that Hall has slightly more power, but his approach has been so much worse than Hart's it's really not even funny. If this holds up, Hart won't get too much to hit with empty bases when pitchers know Hardy and the pitcher are following him.
  3. I know it's a few days old, but James (fortunately? who knows) announced he's coming back. Christopherson was also granted release from his scholarship at MU.
  4. I also eat mine dry. Milk makes it wayyy to soggy and then it doesn't even taste good. I think I personally know two other people who don't use milk. Peanut Butter Crunch is probably my favorite, although I ate it every single day my freshman year of college, and now i haven't had any in close to a year. I also love Fruity Pebbles, Cheerios, Lucky Charms. I'm not the biggest Rice Krispies fan, but home-made Rice Krispie treats are about the greatest thing in the world.
  5. I wish the Wild/Avs series would be more entertaining, none of the games have even been close! Hopefully the Sharks don't go gown 3-1 tonight, then my lack of hockey knowledge would really show considering I picked the Sharks to win the Cup.
  6. In high school I watched SC religiously, now I rarely have it on. I only watch ESPN for actual games, or sometimes BBTN just for highlights, but also for their top-notch insights. But really though FSN in general has bad production, the only thing I ever watch on there are Brewer games, and we all know how beautifully those broadcasts have been run.
  7. Thank you! I was almost positive I heard him say that when he announced the team, but then when later on he did say "Kapler" so I thought maybe I was going crazy. I think my brother told me some of this friend's called Corey Hary "Goblalien" because he looks like a mix between a Goblin and an alien. I thought it was kind of funny.
  8. I'd probably lay low and not really cheer/boo either team (well maybe boo the Cubbies since it's in St. Louis). I personally think it's annoying when fans of neither the Brewers nor who they're playing wear their teams stuff to Miller Park and cheer against the Brewers, and yes it's mostly been Cubs fans but I'm sure there've been others. I've been to a handful of Cubs games at Wrigley, none of which were against the Brewers, and I just sit their contently rooting against them in my head, but not cheering obnoxiously when the other team does something good. I'd rather not start a heated arguement or be berated, which could happen no matter what park you're at. That's just me, though http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  9. I am (for some unbeknownst reason) watching the Bucks game, and they have 45 first quarter points in the first quarter, yet are only up 6. "Defense" in the NBA is a joke.
  10. I usually try to ignore the annoying people who proclaim the game over before the 5th inning, but sometimes it's really hard. Last year I was at a game with my brother and there was a man in his 50s with a couple guys who I'm guessing were his sons, about 30 or so. The Brewers blew a lead in either the 6th or 7th and were only down 2 and he said the game was over. He then repeated it a couple more times that inning. Then when the Brewers didn't score in the next inning he said it again, and wouldn't shut up about it. Finally my brother turned around and said "Then why are you still here?" and he shut up, yet didn't leave the game til after it actually ended.
  11. How do you figure 3? I'm not necessarily doubting you, I'm just wondering if you looked at some formula or came up with some number on the fly.
  12. The loved/hated Brewers thread made me think of this: Why the heck was Wes Helms booed in Milwaukee last year? Sure he wasn't good but was he expected to be that great? I was almost embarassed to be in attendance that game. Unless a former player left because he was lazy (Estrada) or somehow bashes the city/organization or something, they probably shouldn't be booed.
  13. I'll say Ryan Braun. I mean I know it's 12 games, but 53 consecutive plate appearances without a walk? That seems pretty hard to do. Obviously no one was expecting him to walk a ton but it'd be nice if he could get one every 2-3 games.
  14. I'll say Ryan Braun. I mean I know it's 12 games, but 53 consecutive plate appearances without a walk? That seems pretty hard to do. Obviously no one was expecting him to walk a ton but it'd be nice if he could get one every 2-3 games.
  15. I've only seen them play in the 90's and 00's so my list isn't that big. Most loved: Overbay, Cirillo, Sexson, Loretta, D'Amico (I think the only reason is cause he hit a homer at Wrigley like 10 years ago) Most hated: Estrada, Alex Sanchez, Lyle Mouton.
  16. Yadier has 3 HR in 7 at bats against Bush? Wow. It's hard to exactly love this matchup when Wainright has a 10:1 K:BB ratio while Bush's is 1:1.
  17. So you bought all their other starting QB's jerseys over the last 15 years too?
  18. I went to DisneyWorld for the first time in third grade and thought it was awesome. Then again, it was my first time on an airplane/leaving the Midwest that I'd remember (I guess I'd been Southeast when I was like 3). We went again when I was in sixth grade and it already wasn't as fun anymore, feeling like I was too "old" to enjoy it. I guess it all depends on what you like, but apparently once when I was 8 was enough for me.
  19. milguest: 3:42 pm I hang out with Braunie and J.J. a lot. I try to stay away from the Segway's! How awesome would it be see see someone 6'6 on a Segway?
  20. Forrest Gump is on AMC. I'm going to try to will myself to not tear up during the grave scene just to see if it's possible.
  21. It's funny cause Bush's chances of hitting a double probably equal Kendall's chances of hitting a home run. I guess my bold prediction will be that Gabe Gross hits two home runs.
  22. San Jose over Pittsburgh in 5. I've only seen a few games this year and don't know a whole lot, but I've liked the Sharks the last few years for some reason. I used to hate Detroit (who didn't though aside from Wings fans?) so I guess I still kind of hate them.
  23. Good to see Braun hasn't walked yet in 32 plate appearances.
  24. Really? I mean I'm not going to start a debate or anything, but I'd rather not face the best pitcher in baseball over the past 4-5 seasons over a guy who had one major league start coming in to last night. Looks like Santana will just have another tough loss like his one to Smoltz the other day.
  25. I have an intramural softball game in an hour and the wind chill is in the 30s. I hope I can feel my hands if I make contact.
