  1. Looked like he got his hand in there at 2nd, but since Reed Johnson is the devil, I don't mind the call going the other way.
  2. Hey, TLB - I scored a hot dog bobble too. Send me a PM or Facebook message with your postal address and I will send it your way.
  3. Ow, that had to be uncomfortable. Yuni managed to get off his bum pretty quickly, though, on that 6th-inning play; I'll give him that.
  4. It might have helped if he'd ever got any full games off.
  5. It looked to me like he was thinking, "The guys are all doin' this, so I guess I should too."
  6. It is pretty cool. I just scored a T-shirt. Granted, a "Student Nights 2010" shirt, but from the front it looks fine. TLB, if we get anything else that's a duplicate, we'll send it your way, OK?
  7. Is this OK so far? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I am living the Brewers geek dream tonight: watching on a big screen with other fans at Union South with Bernie literally steps behind me, using Brewerfan and Twitter. And the Brewers are putting up a crooked number. I also know more about the Brewers than the student intern host. The. Dream.
  8. So I'm here at Union South with Bernie literally sitting next to us. Not 100% confident in the intern running this, though, as he said at the start of the game that if the Brewers win tonight and STL loses, they win the division. Really? Fail much? The Sett is lively but not quite packed. There's maybe 50 people here, mostly students. Bernie's handing out stuff we already have: Prince growth charts, Hot Dog bobbles and eventually T-shirts. We did score a pennant and some stickers, though.
  9. My S.O. (who is the account holder of record for our Brewers' tickets) was notified by email today that our tickets have shipped. They're currently in Memphis!
  10. Oh, that happens all year, although the Brewers don't use a backpack, they have a purple suitcase, with wheels and everything. At the September 11 game, the Phillies' newest bullpen guy sported not only a pink girly backpack, but also a hot pink boa. I'm not really a PHI fan, but I did like that.
  11. 1-0 for Tuesday, Brewers? You'd make a lot of people happy.
  12. Well, the SO and I are still planning on giving this a try. I have no idea what the turnout will be like, but the Sett seems to have pretty ample seating capacity. If nothing else, we'll have our first meal at Club Union South. I'm currently leaning toward wearing a Counsell player tee and ball/glove hoody. zachlaka knows what I look like and my SO is older than I am, but still a nice approachable guy. I haven't committed to bringing the laptop, but might still if SO is willing to carry it. SCBCF, you'll have to remind me some other time to tell you where on campus I was the night of the no-hitter.
  13. Grumble, if they're going to tease me they really should go all the way.
  14. For what it's worth, the Phillies have the bases loaded, two out in their half of the 3rd, down 3-1, with Placido Polanco up. Fingers crossed? or is it big-boy time for Kyle Lohse? (That last part made me a little sick.) Edit: So did the outcome (a big boy strikeout for Lohse).
  15. Put me in the ASAP bunch too. I've given this way too much thought: Tuesday would be great for me, if possible, as we are still planning on watching the game at UW-Madison's Union South, and it's always more fun to celebrate with other fans. Wednesday's a bit problematic for me, as I have a medical appointment at 4:00 and the Brewers-Cubs game should be ending while I'm there. I'd hate to miss the live moment, but I'd hate to reschedule the appointment too. Thursday's OK, but slightly awkward: what's the protocol for celebrating a division championship when my team has an off day and its opponent has a day game and I have a day job? Whoop quietly in the library while watching Gameday? If "ASAP" means Friday or later, fine, they clinch at home and chances are 5 of 6 that I'm in attendance. Ultimately, whatever it takes; but the less drama, the better. As long as it's before September 28, it'll be the earliest clinch in franchise history. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. Don't let up, Brewers. 1-0 for Monday, since you can't control what STL or anyone else does.
  17. In 2008, our tickets arrived while the Brewers were in their mid-September funk. I gave the envelope (or box, whichever it was) to the S.O., asking him to just make sure the locations were right and then to stash it away. I just didn't want to have the tickets mocking us on the counter. Teatoe993, if you do not feel certain that your transaction was recorded correctly by the Brewers, double check with your ticket rep. I don't think anyone there would be surprised to have customers wanting to be absolutely sure. (For this amount of $, they ought not be surprised.)
  18. I'm looking forward to it!
  19. http://stores.classicmnhockey.com/catalog/2006%20Frozen%20Four%20Authentic%20Patch.jpg I'll see you that Final Four and raise you one that happened in Milwaukee.

  21. Matt Maloney departs very early, earning the Price Is Right Losing Horn. Woah.
  22. Quote from the S.O.: "Man, you've gotta be BAD to give up a home run to Carlos Gomez on the first pitch!" I'm rooting for a triple/single from Ryan followed by a single/triple from Prince, to complete the first inning cycle. Edit: Ryan got the single, but Prince messes up and hits a home run instead of the triple. Sigh.
  23. They're still facing a lefty, so may as well keep this. Just think of the PH possibilities later on. FSW just showed a couple of fans at GABP clad in Cardinals gear. Are they just looking to pick a fight?
  24. I just read a tweet indicating that Dontrelle Willis has back spasms and will be scratched, with lefty Matt Maloney (0-2, 6.88) taking his place. Maloney was originally going to start in Johnny Cueto's place on Monday. We'll catch up the graphics above as soon as we can.
