  1. Yours also. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif CrewDood, both of your posts in this thread add nothing to the subject. I suspect that brewers19's post was an indirect attempt to point that out. CWorley, I'm afraid I have never been to SD, but since the Yuku search is actually functional today, here are some recent-ish threads about San Diego: Thread from 2008 Thread from March Thread from a few days ago (also about LA) I am pretty sure we have some posters from that area, and maybe they just haven't seen your thread yet. Have a good trip.
  2. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one whose dreams have been invaded by the Brewers and trade rumors! The other night I somehow conjured up Cameron and Suppan going to Seattle...I don't remember for what.
  3. I agree with Buckhunts. I hope the post on which he commented is a knee-jerk reaction to Monday's disappointing result. If it's not, I feel sorry for the author of that post.
  4. Just looking to stash this somewhere.
  5. As painful as tonight is, I agree with brewdude15 (at least to an extent). The timing of this game (assuming the outcome doesn't change) could hardly be worse, but giving up two grand slams in a game, much less to any one player, is mostly fluky; and while the Nationals have the worst record in baseball, they don't have the worst offense.
  6. Actually, we have some too, and like twobrewers are unlikely to use many, if any. So please feel free to PM me once razzzorsharp's passes are spoken for.
  7. I can't imagine that anyone expects CV to last more than 2-3 innings. I realize that still validates your suggestion that Dillard start.
  8. No kidding. I actually switched tickets from tonight to tomorrow for some friends. That is looking like a BIG mistake. On the slightly less dark side, you're not watching this game in person. I've half a mind to just up and go by myself on Thursday. I'm desperate to see a non-crappy game and Yo might give the best chance of that.
  9. I've been watching the marathon weather coverage on the local channels in Madison. Now I'm wondering how long before lightning will prompt me to turn off the computer.OWBC is probably storm spotting, or could be if he were west-southwest of here.
  10. OK, no-hitter and shutout are already averted. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Now, Jeff: for all that is good and holy, please maintain the lead. Please.
  11. Let's see how much of the game I can follow via Brewerfan before the storms hit Madison. If you still have some hope for at least a decent outcome tonight, stop by the chat.
  12. I think you need to specify who scores those runs. 12-0 Brewers? 9-3 Nationals? 6-6 and the game never ends? Here's my fear: that the Nats will look to Milwaukee and say, 'hey, they're struggling, let's get 'em."
  13. Shhh, someone will hear you, because a "Christmas in July" promotion actually sounds plausible.
  14. I'm growing tired of their 'punting' games I am scheduled to attend. In April and May it was like you liked me, Brewers. What gives?
  15. So the pitching staff is now a bunch of guys who can go maybe 3 innings, book-ended by Gallardo and Hoffman? (I know it's not that simple, but it is sounding more and more like 80% of the games will be pitched by Johnny Wholestaff.)
  16. With help from a couple of Keystone Kops plays by the Mets, yes. That start he had vs. the Dodgers wasn't all bad either.
  17. Huh, we didn't detect the rain at all from our terrace box seats. We knew the forecast was for scattered showers, and when the roof closed we figured that someone must have determined a scattered shower was headed to Milwaukee. Maybe the roof staff was just slow on the trigger today?
  18. I realize you didn't post your story looking for any of us to assuage your guilt, but when making tough decisions like these, I think it's valid to consider the odds of success for any pricey medical procedure. In any case, given the lesson you took from your experience with Jinx, it sounds like s/he did not die in vain. Honestly, this thread makes me want to cuddle my boy cats extra tonight. (This shouldn't be difficult, as they have both been clingy since we got back from a four day trip earlier this week.)
  19. I'd like to think that a photography store would give you an up-front assessment on how much of the photo quality can be retained in an enlargement.
  20. Because I already seem to have destroyed whatever mojo I might have had with the 2009 Brewers, I'll dare to point out that the Nationals have won 10 road games all year. 10. That's the heck of this for me: think of the difference even a modest win streak - say 5 games - could make for the Brewers.
  21. That is 100% beautiful. You have inspired me to wear my Doug Davis jersey sometime this week. Watch for it at the park!
  22. I'm more surprised that he has appeared in 19 games. Man, would I like the May Brewers back. Even the late May (post-Rickie) Brewers were better than this.
  23. You could get more information from our IGTs, and most likely even the correct pitchers.
