Based on photos posted on Twitter, the full-season packs were mailed over the last week and the mailing of 20-packs seems to have recently begun. I guess it's time to watch the mailbox like a hawk. Somewhat related to season tickets: if you renewed early enough for the perks and selected the "meet a player, get an autographed ball" opportunity, that appears to be scheduled for Saturday, April 26. It's the same day as the Crazylegs race in Madison, which means for the hawing household that the S.O. will be running around campus and it will fall to me to meet Jonathan Lucroy. What a martyr I am.

If you are thinking of coming but saying so in this thread feels like too much commitment, even a PM to me or Invader3K would help us estimate how many people to watch for. That helps the Friday's staff (and therefore us) with space management. Plus, there is NOTHING formal or intimidating about us. Nothing.

D'oh, we all missed a day. Sorry, Gumby. http://www.mlsm.org/galleriessecondfloor_files/image004.jpg Today marks 16 days to go, which naturally reminds me (and maybe zachlaka, but probably no one else) of the Greek God of Walks (and hitting for the cycle that one time), George Kottaras - before his uniform number was yanked away by Aramis Ramirez: http://l.yimg.com/a/p/sp/editorial_image/f7/f7ca87630c397a37ae753893deeffc08/brewers_backup_catcher_george_kottaras_hits_first_cycle_of_.jpg

A "preferred spring training game" is something of an oxymoron.

Either the greatest or the worst knockoff jersey of all time. 21 days to go. http://www.nflstock.com/images/mlb/milwaukee-brewers/alcides-escobar/21-blue.jpg

That's a reasonable estimate, based on recent years. I can tell you this John and Cait blog gave me pause for a moment: Miller Park TGI Fridays Set for Remodel Project This Spring But the work is scheduled to be done before the 22nd. Whew! (said while knocking on wood)

    Outstanding work, Jim. As usual.

Not a Cardinals fan though, it is a Cubs fan. Yeah, but submitting that to the Post-Dispatch took some guts.

I see I wasn't first to think of the size-8 head, Kevin Mench. But this photo is too good to waste: http://img.spokeo.com/public/900-600/kevin_mench_2007_04_24.jpg Also, for you Jack Bauer fans: http://static.indianexpress.com/m-images/Tue%20Aug%2020%202013,%2016:52%20hrs/M_Id_411839_24.jpg

Some welcome sanity from one guy at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. I had to make sure it wasn't April 1 already: No More 'Cardinal Way,' Please

http://tradingcarddb.com/Images/Cards/Baseball/1273/1273-136Fr.jpg 'Rillo's number doesn't appear on this second card, but I include it just to ponder why anyone uses a photo of a player sitting in a metal folding chair on a baseball card. Weird choice, SI. http://www.tradingcarddb.com/Images/Cards/Baseball/1335/1335-88Fr.jpg

Season ticket holders can order them starting Tuesday, I believe. I'd guess later this week for others.

On Friday (2/28), character actor Gavin MacLeod turned 83. You might remember him from such classic TV roles as Murray Slaughter on the Mary Tyler Moore Show, or as Captain Merrill Stubing on The Love Boat.

Hooray! and thanks, Invader. Did you give them an initial head count?
