  1. Knock it off.
  2. I loved the way Garrett sprinted off the field with his hands up.
  3. I hope they dont hang another wild card flag out there if we go one and done.
  4. I didn't see it, but if it was egregious and ends up being the only hit, they can change it after the fact. Eh. It was a pretty tough knuckling liner. It wasnt a soft liner that he easily should have had.
  5. WHoa..... whoa. NOpe. DOn't say stuff like that. I remember in 2014 or whatever year it was, when the Packers were up 12 or whatever, with the ball and 3 minutes left, and I posted " WE ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!" on facebook, and oh man, that did not age well. DON'T say stuff like this until it's mathematically true, or it WILL come back and bite you in the butt!
  6. I could see Grish being a .340/.460/.800 guy next year for sure, playing 450-500 at bats. I get the sense that he's going to get more playing time than Braun going forward, or maybe equal (at least).
  7. What do you mean? Clint Hurdle, the Pirates manager. His face is always a deep shade of red. Today, for some reason, it looks a deeper shade of brick red. Dude is going to have a stroke in the dugout someday.
  8. Hurdle looks a more alarming shade of Brick than normal.
  9. LORENZO CAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIINNNNNN!!!!! I like this kids moxie.
  10. Look at it this way.... We traded Thornburg for Shaw and Dubon and Pennington, and we traded Dubon for Pom and Black. If we get NOTHING for Shaw, that trade was still a huge win.
  11. Braun may have been the worst third baseman in history. Which is why I think comparisons between his defense and Huira's are a bit premature. Huira is rough out there, and he really does need to improve, but he's not costing them dozens of runs. I think the eye test says it's worse than it really is.
  12. For all the talk of how bad Hiura's defense is, keep in mind he's on pace to be a 5 WAR player for a full season. Braun's defense at 3B was so outlandishly bad in 2007 he was a 2.0 WAR player in 3/4's of a season. Hiura isn't historically bad, he's just bad.
  13. Are we still in danger of not making a bowl game ?
  14. a 12% projection means 12 times out of 100, they would make the playoffs. Why does someone say that's embarrassing? If the Brewers make the playoffs, that projection model wouldn't even be "wrong" per se, this would be one of the 12 times per 100 that the Brewers got hot and made it, in one of many possible variables.
  15. I suppose "given up" might be too harsh. They certainly look pretty listless playing out the string, though. The Blue Jays beat the Yankees tonight. These guys are all professionals. I think it's easy for us to watch a game through a tv and see someone losing a game and say "they're not trying/they have no heart" and try to draw conclusions, but sometimes a team is just getting beat by someone playing better on a given day.
  16. Up to 60% on 538 with the Cardinals loss. Still behind the Cubs, Cardinals and Nats though. Just so many paths to the playoffs we are now likely to find one of them. Pretty much this. If the Brewers just take care of business, with the way the schedule is laid out for the teams in front of them, they're in really good shape right now.
  17. Playoff odds are up to 48.8% on espn.
  18. Yeah, this doesn't need to be popping up in every other thread. I'll add that I think there's less than a 1% chance the Brewers will seriously pursue Cole. I'm sure they'll do their due diligence, but this isn't in the Brewers wheelhouse, financially.
  19. Black is still kind of an unknown quantity for what kind of major league innings he's going to give you. Albers will (hopefully) figure things out before post-season play.
  20. Lmao. This call is so stupid. Why would one call a park ranger if they saw a moose? "Well, sir, you're in a park, and the moose lives here. I'm not sure what you want me to do." It isn't a zoo, isn't the moose always loose? I saw a moose on the loose in the wild in Wyoming at a rest area (like right in the rest area) and it looked way bigger than a moose that I've seen in a zoo. Just frickin enormous. I was a little intimidated, if I'm being honest.
