  1. I bet Don Mattingly came close a few times but Boggs always won the obp crown during the mid 80s.
  2. I jusr have thia weird feeling the brewers will pitch the back of the bullpen scrubs and lose this game and the cubs will blow up late and come back and win like 10-9.
  3. And there's probably 8 to 12 games you can point at that they shouldn't have won that they did. That pendulum swings both ways
  4. because at this point all Maddon has to do is get through this day without ruining someone's arm. He has a 40 man roster to simply get through the day. he doesn't care if they win, and he doesn't care if they have to use 12 pitchers to do it.
  5. Not ideal to have him blow 7 games this season. It’s not crazy bad but he’s been an issue this season as great as he is. I think there's a comfortable middle ground between "dominating" and "he sucks". A guy that strikes out half of the batters he faces with a 2 1/2 ERA and 3 FIP doesn't suck.
  6. In the last 28 days, Hader had 13 appearances, faced 53 batters, allowed 5 hits, one homer, and had a .353 OPS against, but yeah, he 'sucks'. Nobody throws 100% of their pitches for perfect pitches. I get it, we're frustrated, but wow. The guy does not suck.
  7. Three! THree runs that the Brewers didn't score from baserunning gaffes and rules misinterpretations!! AH-HAHAHAHAHAHAH! I Love to Count!
  8. I'm a firm believer in the idea that professionals play until the season is over but man......the Indians are just rolling over. It could just be that the Nats are hot and the Indians are not, but it sucks that our fate is tied to the Indians getting rolled this weekend.
  9. I love Counsell, he’s the reason this team wins more games than any other team in September. He’s the reason we’re in the playoffs. But he was wrong in taking out Davies thru pinch hitting and replacing him with Black in the 6th inning up by a run. That’s it. Simple. It’s not the end of life as we know it, it’s just a game. But we lost that game. At least Counsell now knows what most of us kinda knew before yesterday > Black should be know where near a 2-1 lead in a big game in the 6th inning. Stop making statements like this. You can state it as your opinion. Don't state it as fact, and don't speak for anyone else. This is 1A and 1B why everyone is all over every post you make.
  10. I'll wait to see what comes of the next CBA.
  11. Nice....
  12. Well. That works.
  13. A team wins 17 out of 19 games, and a bunch of people call projection systems flawed. :/ Winning 17 of 19 is exactly why the percentage of something happening wasn't 0%, which is why it is a projection, not a prediction. Let's run this back a hundred times and see how many times the Brewers win 17 out of 19, coupled with the Cubs dropping eight in a row.
  14. I want it noted that I never posted in this thread other than to say on Sept 12th that Counsell should be NL MoTY. I noted a few time during in game threads that even if I felt that it was slim chance they'd get back in it, I wasn't giving up until we got eliminated.
  15. 7 runs in GAB isn't an unattainable amount. Not time to be goofing around with a position player and putting men on base in a clincher game, especially when they're trying to gain ground on the Cardinals.
  16. Got it, you don’t like guy. Winning in baseball is hard to do, if you believe a manager hangs around for 16 years just due to loyalty, while actively hindering a team’s chances to win, you must think baseball front office executives are really stupid, or perhaps your dislike of Yost is coloring your judgment As much as I argue that teams are generally smarter than fans, someone hired Dave Stewart to run their team

  18. You've made your point repeatedly with what you think the payroll can be and what every team is getting. Move on
