  1. What's the station/link? Edit- I think I found the station, 620 AM WDAE, but I don't see a link to listen anywhere.
  2. This happens in most public places. With the insane usage of cell phones and all the other little gadgets people like to play with, everybody is too busy talking, texting, tweeting, checking email, shuffling their ipod (and whatever else) and not considering anything else around them.
  3. Why do they still call it the "Rock Stage"? Back in the day, it really was a rock stage every night. Now you've got at least 3-4 bands I would hardly consider 'rock'. I've been a rock stage guy forever and can easily say this is the most disappointing lineup I've ever seen--but that can be chalked up to not liking this nu-rock stuff (and non-rock stuff). Luckily, there's plenty of what I like sprinkled throughout the other stages. Lastly, Billy Squier is still performing? I had no idea.
  4. July 2nd: Judas Priest. They'll be playing British Steel in its entirety.
  5. Hawing--Most of the refrigerated/frozen items are delivered daily, but arrive on the late truck which would possibly explain the Turkey Store outages. However, that entire line of products can be very hit or miss at any time. I should also tell you that I don't go by "Burnie" at work. This should save you the time you'd spend looking at name tags for "B" names.
  6. We must have missed each other. I was there too, but that's because I'm one of the owners.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I know I've commented on a lot of threads mentioning the store and retail in general, but I've never "outed" myself as an employee until now (because it's always interesting to read what people are saying.) 21 years and counting... I didn't know about the turkey brats being out, but I'm going to get after the meat guy because I joked with him last week about people not buying pork anymore.
  7. High Life. Nothing else.
  8. Those Charles Schwab commercials where people are depicted as cartoons. (I guess that's how to explain it.) I really hate those commercials.
  9. Madison tested them Thursday afternoon. We got a letter from the school ahead of time to let us know about the city-wide drill. Otherwise, Madison usually tests their sirens around noon on Wednesdays.
  10. too much beer drank while the brats were cooking I don't understand this "too much" concept. I usually prep them the Marc Newfield way in that I simmer them rather than boil.
  11. Game 4 was indeed a fun game to watch. I was ready to give up on the 'Hawks when they went down 4-1, but they rallied for 3 straight to make it interesting. Unfortunately, Khabibulin couldn't keep Calgary out of his net. Also, I'm really starting to dislike Jarome Iginla.
  12. I just took mine off the grill. Third time I've made brats in seven days. Today I made Klements, but will make just about any brand depending upon what looks good that day. A particular favorite, but pricey, are the brats from Stoddard's (Sun Prairie) that are the official brat of the Madison Mallards and sold locally at Woodman's.
  13. Thanks Brian, I actually just read that (did not comprehend, but read) in your blog that you just pimped. As long as I can here, I'm fine. I know the back route to get here, but figured others had to have similar issues. Edit-My bookmark is working again, no more DNS.
  14. Looks like the Blues hot streak to end the season didn't carry over into the playoffs. Vancouver is the first team to move on to the 2nd round. I'm really looking forward to tonight's Chicago/Calgary game. Game 3 was real intense with lots of big hitting and post-whistle action to make me think Game 4 should be a good one.
  15. I just tried again and got the same result.
  16. I've always just got onto the site by clicking my bookmark, but starting last night and again this morning, the bookmark didn't lead me to the homepage but rather a google-like search page called "OpenDNS". http://guide.opendns.com/?url=brewerfan.net The only way I was able to get here was by googling the site name and clicking on cache as the link to this page again returned me to the link above. Now that I'm here, I'm noticing that some of the graphics are missing. The header isn't there (it simply says "brewerfan.net header" in the upper left), and the same goes for the Lambeau Leap and WSSP graphics in the upper right. Do I need to clean something up to fix this or what?
  17. See, I think the lime Tostitos were meant to be dipped, not eaten plain. They almost seem too sour when eaten plain. I think the lime is a complement to salsa and adds a little extra flavor, just like the jalapeno scoops add a little heat to whatever dip it is you prefer. I sampled the jalapeno Scoops when they were first being brought to retail and thought they were OK on their own, but figured they would be real good with a tasty salsa or nacho cheese dip
  18. While I understand and respect the power of a tornado, I'm still the neighborhood idiot who's outside walking around looking at the sky while the sirens are going off. Lightning "taught" me to appreciate it during my teens while golfing at New Berlin Hills. We were teeing up and a bolt struck a tree not too far away. I got to the clubhouse quicker than an Olympic sprinter and let the clubs fend for themselves on the tee box. Obsessed, that storm chasing sounds cool. I've watched some of the shows on National Geographic about the people who do this and while it seems like an exciting experience, it would probably be a letdown for the non-meteorologic types as it would be a lot of riding around in a truck...waiting.
  19. Today's rain-snow (it's a combo of both, a very wet snow) and the mess its turning my yard into.
  20. Are the lime Tostitos being eaten plain or with salsa? I used to eat them with salsa and thought they were OK. A new product on the market is jalapeno Scoops and I really like those.
  21. Sharks are looking like a big flop right now. Granted, Hiller has been great in net for the Ducks, but losing 2 games on home ice is really going to hurt.
  22. The Yankees keep this up and Nick Swisher may get regular time on the hill.
  23. There was another NHL playoff thread started earlier (on page 2 now)..... http://brewersfandemonium...4/t/NHL-Playoffs-09.html
  24. Best time of the year! Baseball starts and the NHL playoffs. I'm rooting for the Blackhawks who are back in the playoffs after an absence of 7 years.
  25. Sorry to hear about your grill. Same thing happened to a friend of mine years ago when the Twins were in town. Had some Twin fans tailgate next to him and commented on his "cool" grill...after the game the grill was gone and so were they.
