I think a lot of local recreation departments also offer discounted tickets. How about AAA? What's the current cost? On Noah's website, they offer advance tickets for just over $28.
Had my fantasy league all-star party tonight which was preceded by 18 holes of golf....yeah, I'm doing OK. Thank goodness the party site was about 3 blocks from home and an easy walk back.
I wonder if I'm inbred or a ******? It would have been fun to let him hang around long enough to provide us each a classification. And then they could put that classification under our user names so everyone would know. Instead of "Brewerfan All-Star", I could be "Inbred".
I am in stunned disbelief that Tim Redding is pitching for a major league team. That's exactly what I thought when I saw him pitch for the Nats against the Cubs last week.
I have to backtrack a bit on my previous comment about Emil's and the whole green pepper slices. That was Dino's out of Racine, not Emil's. Easy to confuse as they're both "bar pizzas".
burnie, that sounds like a great idea. It really is a good time. Last year it was pouring so we had to cancel golf and went bowling instead. Here's the kicker for the microbeer loving types, we had our viewing party at Capital Brewery in their "bar". Free beer all night and we had the place to ourselves.
Southern Wisconsin is blessed. Emil's pizza is now available at Woodman's. I tried one of these recently. Good pizza and I really liked how they used whole green pepper slices.
Every year, my fantasy league holds an all-star party that is attended by most of the managers in the league. We view this as our GM meetings and it's a great opportunity for lots of trade talk. Actually, we make a day of it and have a golf outing (OK, 2 groups) in the afternoon before grilling out prior to the game. This will be our 8th consecutive year with these festivities. To keep the game interesting, we have a small money pool going where you put money in/take it out depending upon your player's actions.
I totally agree on the Pizazz, I've had mine for three years now. I like Palermo's too, but not the cheaper ones. I like the ones with the yellow wrapper, usually 3-for-9.
I haven't seen it posted anywhere if the fireworks were canceled or not, but a story on JSOnline indicated organizers would wait until 9:25 PM to make a decision based on radar.
That's a tough situation for the organizers when the weather threatens the event. You've got to look out for the safety of all the attendees and consider if your product will function properly. I remember Rhythm and Booms was postponed last year and there were a lot of unhappy (literally) campers. Think how early people were probably setting up along the lake today and then have it postponed.
So, if it's an '86 program, it would be a player on that year's team? If so, the non-white left-handed hitters were Cooper, Oglivie, Riles, Castillo and Felder.
I've never heard of this show. What channel, what time? I've never seen the show either, but it seems to me that HBO has been showing it almost nightly. Whenever I check the listings, it's there.
Well, allegedly the television stations have been instructed to pretend nothing is happening, so even if the walkout does occur you probably won't be able to notice on TV. I figured it would go something like that, but coming back in the 4th inning, they had a few different seating area shots and actually commented on the walkout and said they really didn't notice many people leaving. I just read a small write-up on Yahoo Sports and they are saying about 100 people were seen leaving the stadium after the 3rd inning.
