  1. What power does Yuni offer? 2010's power was a fluke, his ISO is going to be about what it is right now, .110 (it was .113 in 2008 and .106 in 2009). Wilson will give you an ISO of about .100 with actual play that isn't embarrassing at short stop. Neither are good players but the sooner the Brewers cut ties with Betancourt the sooner things are better.
  2. Except that isn't fair, you'll need a home and home so that's at least 90 games against the other league. Except that only leaves 71 games for your own league. Which means we'll see 2 game interleague series for 60 games, and 3-4 games series against one's own league leading to a nightmare of scheduling and travel. Or we can just add two teams, make owners richer and balance the leagues.
  3. Not really. The Brewers have two mote than servicable back up catchers in Molanado and Rivera. I would assume Rivera would be the one the Brewers would try and move if SF actually did come calling.
  4. Betancourt can't hit, can't field and is uncoachable. I say we send down Braddock to teach the team a lesson in discipline.
  5. A guy with mediocre power who can't get on base and plays poor defense? Why?
  6. I'd rather have Ax's facial hair. Now this is crazy. The beard has more power than you can even imagine
  7. It's amazing how good the Brewers are despite how bad Betancourt is
  8. Love how Betancourt then almost threw the ball away on the DP
  9. There are already two right handed specialists in Milwaukee.
  10. No. He brings nothing.
  11. Sorry, I meant defensively. Wright hasn't been good for a while.
  12. Assuming Wright is an upgrade at 3B over McGehee is also a reach. Wright hasn't been good for a while.
  13. The problem is that sports radio was blaming Wolf for Nieves which just isn't true and so the thought invaded online forums. And so people can be defensive about it. Sort of similar to how if Rock says soemthing on a broadcast it becomes the truth for a segment of fans.
  14. One manager in Wrigley has realized Loe can't pitch to left handers. It isn't Roenike.
  15. I swear FVBrewerfan's post wasn't there before. Yuku is fun!
  16. Last night? There was only one out. Of course they would have had no real chance throwing Campana out anyway
  17. Actually it was Campana leading off. So it was LLRRLL.
  18. Except Dillard was set to face two LHers. He shouldn't face LHers. In Nashville in 10 innings pitched he walked 9 left handed batters. It is also why there is no way you walk the bases loaded for Dillard to face Pena. But given the fact that Campana was at 3B (you know the guy who 2 innings earlier almost beat out a ball hit to the right side of the infield for a hit?) you almost have no shot at him at home so you walk Castro and go after Ramirez hoping fro a DP or a K. I just don't get why its so hard to realize the limitations of your bullpen pitchers. Loe and Dillard shouldn't face LHers in pressure situations. Estrada and Mitre are really 5th starter types who can give you innings but aren't shut down guys.
  19. I wish Roenike just understood the strengths and weaknesess of the pen. An no watching them pitch 3 innings doesn't tell you anything
  20. Bill is actually right, this is one case where you do intentionally walk someone
  21. Dillard can not eat innings. The fact he got a few LHers out doesn't mean he should face them. See Loe, Kameron
  22. I'm watching live and Hart is just now approaching the plate, but you're right. Please tell me what the future holds This wasn't Hart's first AB
