  1. So does Garza get one more bad start before he becomes the designated whipping boy for the Cubs or is this it?
  2. Who should it be? Kotsay. Heck Kotsay should be released when Lucroy comes back. Who will it be? Reed.
  3. I swear Yuni swings at the first pitch so the AB can be as short as possible
  4. Do love how the Brewers let Cruz go so they could keep Reed who isn't allowed to do anything.
  5. Pretty sure it was that his agent represents Weeks. You don't put in a huge roster bonus if you really are sure the guy is important to the team.
  6. On WTMJ's pregame Braun just said small sample size...
  7. The question was would Kotsay repeat what Inglett did last year, not would Inglett repeat what he did last year.
  8. There have been more and more teams wanting home openers on weekends as so to allow for that teams will go on the road for a week if need be.
  9. Inglett could also actually play the field
  10. Kotsay in 2010 .239/.306/.376 Inlgett in 2010 .254/.331/.401 There is absolutely no reason to expect Kotsay to produce similar numbers to Inglett
  11. If this keeps up, ESPN may be running infomercials on Sunday nights this summer. Keep in mind the Rays might also fall to 0-6 so it may not really end up being a big deal
  12. Estrada is better than people think. I know for a guy whose career ERA is 7.71 thats hard to believe but he had 3.46 FIP in 2009 at AAA. Zips projects him to have a FIP of 4.20. Narveson Zips projection is 4.47 for comparison. He's a fine #4 option for most teams if he was ever given a chance.
  13. The whole issue to me is that Brewers are a high scoring team and the complaints about how they score is all about aesthetics. There is absolutely no evidence that the Brewers "failure to manufacture runs" or their run distribution costs them any games over a season.
  14. Parra is a left hander with mid 90s fastball. Villanueva is a right hander with a sub 90 fastball. They are nothing alike.
  15. Loe facing LHers, I'm going to get an ulcer this year aren't I?
  16. Sure, and if I was managing he would have never faced Heyward. Then again I never would allow Kotsay to play the field either.
