  1. Melvin also handed Yost the hardest working starting rotation so no there aren't that many outs to get. Fact is the first reliever often is Gagne in the 8th. Its a deliberate choice. Villaneuva should have been moved out of middle relief a while ago, now with loads of pitchers, there is just no excuse.
  2. That the way it supposed to be done. Going back would only lead to indecision.
  3. No way do I give up a first round pick to sign Ibanez. And someone will likely highly overpay for him.
  4. If Wolf actually ends up a B, that turns the Astros trade around. I still find that hard to believe because he's basically a guy who missed half a season and hasn't been dominant.

  7. Rodgers should be able to get his season ending injury over with by half, so you can watch both!
  8. With Lincecum already at 15 wins, I doubt it. If Webb doesn't win 20, Sabathia is more likely just because the story is better than making a good decision.
  9. Neither Gamel nor Escobar are going to be on the post season roster (well Escobar could be if Hardy or Counsell gets hurt, but thats the only way). No reason to give playing time to players who are most likely going to struggle and who aren't going to be the players you'll be using in 3 weeks.
  10. Yeah I finally found it, it was away from the other 4 games. I really can't believes DirecTV's OS is as crummy as it is, the fact it can't fully detect which channels you receive is just foolish
  11. Hardy is just slow, he wasn't dogging it, he just isn't fast
  12. I'd say its highly unlikely either is traded this off season. Hall due to the Brewers having to eat part of his contract are probably better keeping him then paying part of his contract and paying a utility guy. And Weeks because finding a 2B option isn't that easy especially at the low price Weeks is at. Hudson should already have a condo in NY picked out and after that its hoping the Orioles aren't asking for the moon for Roberts which they likely are.
  13. I'm at my brother's but the BTN on DirecTV is showing No Colorado and Purdue. Am I looking at the wrong place?
  14. He always does this. A starter needs to really blow up not to make it through the 5th. And if the starter gives up 4 runs in the top of the 5th but the Brewers tie it in the bottom of the 5th, that starter will be sent back out there to get a chance at the win. And no matter the situation, a save means the closer. So you can have 2 outs with a 4 run lead in the 9th but if that 3rd batter reaches on an error, get Torres going because one more base runner and its a save!
  15. No there are plenty of alternatives. Stetter is back with the team, Shouse can face lefties. Villaneuva has no need in long relief with McClung and DiFelice in the pen. Dillard deserves more of a chance.
  16. Some people really get upset over a ploy to sell tshirts
  17. That is just not true. There are more prospects in AA, the play however is better in AAA. The DiFelices of the world are in AAA.
  18. Bill Hall is 2nd RZR behind Wright in the NL. And he's second by a wide margin, Wright at .735, Hall at .724 and Feliz at .708. Overall he's 7th among the big group thats behind Rolen and his .800 RZ ahead of the next tier that Feliz leads..
  19. The comeback player on the Brewers isn't Kapler, its Salomon Torres. Th guy had a 5.47 ERA last year
  20. I thought Bush used his final option this season as did Dillon--you do realize that Brewerfan lists options on its 40 man roster page: http://www.brewerfan.net/...ortyManRoster.do?teamId=1
  21. "Not me. But clearly Ned does, otherwise he would not have a middle of the road hitter batting cleanup. " Yes no 6th per se but not sure how much more it takes
  22. He's had to face a huge amount of left handers lately. And has played constantly. Now with Dillon back they have a guy who can fill in. He really should have gotten to rest vs Santana.
  23. Fielder? Its when you say things like that that people tend to think you are ranting.
  24. If McClung gets "injured" and Stetter goes to the bullpen for the playoffs things will be fine. Gallardo has hardly pitched this year and its hard to get him enough time to be ready to face live competition.
  25. Well if you read the thread, yes they did.
