    No Dave Krynzel actually proves how wrong Briggs is. Krynzel got some September call ups and got 54 PAs over three years. Gwynn will get that in two weeks. Krynzel was never given a roster spot, Gwynn was and now Gwynn is given a starting role.

    Nope Powell works for WTMJ. He basically only does Brewer stuff but does do some holiday fill in work. Unless WTMJ really does decide to go full newstalk (plus Packers) I see no way they'll let it go.

    Wow that methodology sucks. Their close games measure looks only at games tied after 6 innings. So a 9-5 win that was tied 5-5 after 6 is considered close but a 4-3 win that was 3-2 deficit after 6 doesn't count.

    That has basically been Yost's strategy from the get go, mange to how he hopes things will happen.

    No it is you who has backwards. If his name was John Smith he would have had to hit his way to Milwaukee. A .360/.396 in the PCL is not promotion material for anything but SS or catcher. Instead Gwynn is given a roster spot based upon nothing while Hart is forced to spend time behind Kevin Mench because of Yost's whims.

    The Mariners were so far above their run differential because Putz was so good. Anyone really think he'll have a sub 1.5 ERA again? Especially since his strand rate was higher than it ever was before?

    If it wasn't for the Overbay trade, the Brewers likely wouldn't have gotten Koskie which more than made up for it

    The point is Gwynn got PAs over Gross. Mench got plate appearance over Gross, Jenkins and Hart (keep in mind Mench got more plate appearances vs RHP then LHP)

    I don't have problem with people taking the Cubs. Now the Cubs winning more than 90 games is another matter. Then again when certain reporters (Jerry Crasnick) choose Jeff Francoueras the preseason All NL RFer, well yeah.

    Not anymore than you can look at Run Differential an"projections" and call it a day. Yes you need to read the national media too! You know the ones who say the Cubs are going to win 90 games and the Brewers are going to finish behind the Reds. PECOTA is the best projection system that exists

    I think its being way overblown. Signage changes. Though I think the Devil Rays gave their best to the team and Tampa just decides that they want more Rays than just the Devil Rays and well you know how money talks.
