  1. Hart should have came in for Jenkins to get Florie out before he faced three left handers.
  2. Whats the probability that Capellan makes it through a third inning? This was a Yost type move, managing to what you hope will happen instead of what will likely happen.
  3. Gord Ash has broadcast for 1/2 inning and I learned more than I ever did from Bill.
  4. Well at least Jenkins has shown that he could get on base in the past. Hall has always been a low OBP guy. That said a line up like: Weeks Koskie Fielder Lee Jenkins Hall Gross Moeller would look much better, fipping Jenkins and Hall if you wish.
  5. Three lefties in a row? This just a day after Yost said St Louis has two good LH bullpen guys and he wanted to make LaRussa think so he didn't put Koskie and Fielder back to back. Sooner or later it will also be determined that Hall has too low of an OBP to hit 2nd. Ok, it won't.
  6. It wasn't the runs he gave up last outing, he was never in commend during the start.
  7. This is Capuano's third poor start in a row
  8. Yeah, unlike the big spending Twins organization!
  9. Seriously, wasn't this the situation to bring in Capellan? You knew this pitcher was only going to go one inning with the pitcher's spot up.
  10. We could have gotten Obermueller back. He was released by the Braves.
  11. It would have been nicer for Yost to sit Jenkins against Mulder and play Hart.
  12. The funny thing about this? By doing this Yost has no left handed bats on the bench now.
  13. Yost could be a good manager if he would just stop managing.
  14. Rickie Weeks--bad defensive first baseman.
  15. Dana Eveland again proving he's not ready.
  16. The unnecessary Cirillo at 2B experiment continues.
  17. So is Dana going to get 4 balls straight at his head next AB? EDIT: Moeller threw out a batter!
  18. Catcher's interference is a Brady Clark special. I think he averages about 1 per month.
  19. Not it isn't nitpicking. Weeks was really slow on chraging that ball.
  20. Peavy and Ned--losing today in order to lose by less tomorrow! Putting Davis in lessened your chance of winning on Saturday. Why do it? Wise didn't pitch Sunday anyway. Capellan had to come in Saturday anyway. It was stupid to try to save pitchers who won't pitch much in a blowout to save them for a blowout. Ned hoped Davis would get through it. Managing to the best case scenario is foolish.e
  21. How about the fact that comparing the game in 2006 to the game in 1990 is foolish? The point is the right now there is no discernable difference between 2B and CF so Weeks would be the same above average hitter both places. That he wouldn't have been in 1991 makes no difference. Sample size only matters when drawing from the same distribution.
  22. Thats entirely too flip. You feel like you ahev control which makes it seem liek no chance is involved. Its more like driving. Even the best drivers can have things crash into them.
  23. CF offense = 2B offense. There is no difference between the two. The only difference is that there are more good players at 2B with more studs (Griffey, Edmonds, etc) at CF.
