When will this come to an end? I know Hart hasn't been the best lately, but I have to think he would offer more protection for Prince and more production in that 5 hole. I would like to know how many runners Casey has left on base this year. Anyone here has access to those stats? Hart has been more than fine lately. Hart over the past week: .285/.545/.571, the past 14 days .216/.431/.432, the past 28 days .280/.404/.500. Basically Hart has been a monster since he got back into a groove after his injury and recovery.

Well he would have been blocked by his brother so he would have just been traded anyway. And yeah, he isn't going to SLG .500.

God no. Young can't play SS (or anywhere besides 1B right now), is old and really expensive. Mooreland isn't any different than Gamel or perhaps worse. Draft picks are better. -
No, having 3 players on your team the really can play one position is not the answer. Anyone know what Chris Nelson's defense is like? He's certainly blocked in Colorado. http://web.minorleaguebas...p;t=p_pbp&pid=455126 He's currently in Colorado hitting .233/.260/.411 but has only played 2B/3B there. Is that just due to Tulo or is he limited? There's also Tommy Manzella, a guy that Melvin would just let go or trade for considerations if he was Brewer property, http://web.minorleaguebas...p;t=p_pbp&pid=446373 Any idea on his defense?

Yes Gamel is out of options after this year but I see no reason to worry about burning an option for Green at age 24. And Green has a distinct role on the team after DHing, ie replacing a infielder. Gamel doesn't even if they DFA Kotsay, he's still stuck as a bench bat backing up Fielder.

Nothing is wrong with him except perhpas that he got upset that Roenicke refused to use him in high leverage situations and talked to him about it. Since then he has been buried even more.

I hate fearing that one good game could mean Roenicke plays Gomez more. I also hate the announcers pretending it has anything to do with his swing. Gomez has terrible pitch recognition.

Again we run into the problem that they have to either send down a pitcher and given that Marcum is sort of in a precarious spot I don't see that or they need to DFA Wilson/Betancourt (assuming Yuni won't agree to an option) or DFA Kotsay. Just don't see it happening.

So Kottaras is going to keep up his every hit a HR pace? Kottaras last 3 games 3 of 9 2 HR 3 RBI vs Lucroy last 3 games 4 of 10 1 HR 1 RBI. There those stats are more comparable. I will laugh when he is back to his .200 self with bad defense and I bet there will be some complaining. Also, to the other OP who considers Kottaras a power bat, I'm not sure if i would go that far. I do agree he is 100 times better than Nieves. That I can't argue with.Kottaras is a power bat. He has a career ISO of .185

Has anyone determined if the money Seattle sent to KC was sent to the Brewers? Seattle was paying KC $1m for this year, so is Betancourt costing the Brewers $4m or $3m?

Much more worried about the fact that Yuni is still the shortstop, Kottaras is the best candidate to DH and that players in Nashville are being blocked by worse players in Milwaukee.
