  1. Hopefully Weaver comes back to the form he showed with STL 2 years ago if necessary.
  2. Reds are a decent team but will probably never truly be in the running for the division. By the time their young guys improve, their old guys (Dunn & Griffey) will not be a part of the team anymore.
  3. The guys on FSN again reitterated that this was simply precautionary and that had the game been closer he could have continued.
  4. Brewers are now 4-0 in extra inning games. Brewers have now gone 5-3 on this current road trip. Having a winning record in 9 games at NY, STL, and Cincy is pretty darn good! Gagne is starting to look like Game Over when he takes the mound. The rest of the bullpen has been throwing very well as of late as well. Suppan made yet another quality start and looks like he may turn out to be that innings eater they thought they were getting last year. Yovanni is back tomorrow! Only concerns and hopefully turn out to be nothing are Sheets' status and Braun's current cold-streak, and hopefully both will be resolved for the better soon.
  5. Just saw the highlights on baseball tonight. DeRosa hit a HR in the 6th that was clearly a foot foul! The umps got together and discussed yet still called it a HR. The Cubs went on to win in the 10th. Obviously without that HR they never would have made it to the 10th. I hope this is not a sign of how things are going to go this year? How many times last year did the Cubs pull out games late that they had no business winning? I am not sure how an ump that is standing down the 3rd base line can miss the call that badly?

  8. When Yo returns, McClung will be waived and sent to AAA if he clears waivers, with Bush going to long relief. When Cameron comes back look for TG to go to Nashville to build up his trade value by playing everyday. There just is not a spot in the Brewer outfield for him now or in the future. Remember LaPorta will need a spot in the outfield soon as well. I do believe however since Kapler signed a minor-league deal he could be sent down, but as was said earlier he is like having another coach on the team and I think we need him this season.
  9. That Muniz guy from the Mets was only throwing 85mph and he appeared to be bringing it quite well. Not to mention Gagne was topping out at 88. I hope that wasn't accurate since he also looked like he was throwing it well.
  10. I think Kendall already drew more BB's in the first week than Estrada did the whole season last year!
  11. Just the simple fact however that the Brewers win 2 out of 3 in Chicago and are 5 spots behind them is puzzling. I can't believe how many people were picking the Cubs in this division in the first place. The Brewers are better than the Cubs in hitting, SP, & RP.
  12. We can't get rid of Suppan. Villy and Parra are just better than Bush. If I am not mistaken Bush has an option left so I would send him down to AAA in case you get an injury and need him later. I just don't see how you could send Villy or Parra down and that would be the only other option at this point or to waive McClung and move one of them to long relief. Bush to AAA just makes the most sense.
  13. You can tell by the way Attanasio talks about it, that he doesn't expect Sheets to be back. The Crew will either take Sheet's salary and give it to another SP though unlikely since not many good ones hit the open market. More likely than not we will be banking on a minor league pitcher to step up, maybe Zach Jackson, or if we can get a good college pitcher with one of our 6 picks in the first two rounds that can be fast tracked through the system.
  14. Once Gallardo returns, Bush has to be the one to go!
  15. Why would they do someting so stupid?!
  16. They are making mistakes that you don't even see in Little League. Giving up two runs on a routing double play ball. Giving up two homers to Yadier Molina. Getting two hit by Adam Wainright. Giving up 28 runs in three games to the Cardinals while only scoring 7. Losing 4 straight at home! Every hitter trying to hit a home run in every at bat. This is terrible baseball!
  17. If Yost ever through out the same lineup everynight for a week straight we might have a chance. I don't see any other contenders changing their lineup daily. Play the same lineup for a change and let this team maybe develop some chemistry.
  18. The only thing that is bothering me at this point is young players should improve as the season goes on and this team is not at this point. I still think they are do for a hot streak and soon! Remember in 2003 when the won 12 games in a row. That was a bad team and they got very hot. With how bad this team is playing, they are due to rebound and produce something similar and that streak just may put them 6 or 7 games up in the division.
  19. Hart is a fine player. Power, Speed, Good Outfielder. I just don't see Gross being that same type of complete player that Hart is. He may be in a slump but the entire team is so why bench Hart at this point? He still is hitting like .270 with 19 HR's. I say leave him in the lineup. I would bench Menchkins first before Hart.
  20. Excellent move by the Crew. He gives up runs every time he pitches basically. Now they need to send Villanueva down to AAA for a week or two and call up Hackman, Bray, or Aquino for that time frame to give Villanueva a little time off and he can maybe figure things out with less pressure.
  21. Runner on 2nd with nobody out down 1 run, you have to bunt everytime. Especially when you have your big sticks coming up to bat. Instead of having to get a hit, all the batter needs to do is hit a fly ball and the game is tied.
  22. If the Brewers win the Central, then Fielder will be MVP. He will more than likely be the only player in the league with 50 HR's, 125 RBI's. If Braun were up the whole season, who knows. His numbers with his average would probably be better than Fielders. The team may also have started even better than 24-10. Who knows?
  23. Was at the game last Sunday and they were available in the store. Speaking of jerseys at Miller Park though, why is it so hard to find a Braun or Gallardo one? You would think they would mass produce them while they are in so much demand as opposed to saying well as soon as we put them on the shelf they are gone. I was lucky to get a Braun one that they did just put out but they should have a ton of each.
  24. Why is it that everytime a left-handed power hitter comes up to bat suddenly the entire defense is on the right side of the field? The Brewers are doing it to and I just think that teams should not be doing this. Rules should clearly state that a team must have 4 infielders, 2 on the right side, 2 on the left with 3 outfielders. These shifts putting your 2nd baseman in right field, SS at 2nd base, and 3B at shortstop aren't right. These hitters should just bunt down the 3rd base line everytime because they will get on every time.
