  1. I think there were probably some uneasy feelings between the Brewers and Molitor in the mid-1990s, but I also think those feelings were put aside more than a decade ago. There were plenty of warm fuzzies all around when Paul's number was retired by the Brewers. Below is an interview of Yount and Molitor done by LaCrosse's Channel 8 in February of this year. After the five minute mark, note that Yount uses words like "we," "our," and "ourselves" in reference to this year's Brewers. Molly uses "they" and "their." Regarding the Packers, Robin says, "Is there any other team?" Molitor uses "we" to refer to the Vikings and "your" to refer to the Packers.
  2. WMLW's main broadcast is on Channel 41.1. That wouldn't affect WDJT. Channel 58.2 could easily be left as standard definition while 41.1, cable, and satellite broadcast HD. You can have 2 HD streams on one channel, but at least one of the two needs to be 720p, and compression needs to be high. It's done in some markets, but it's not necessarily the best situation. The big problem would be to get the cable and satellite companies to carry the network. The situation would have to be financially advantageous to everyone involved. The Twins failed miserably when they tried to start their own network.
  3. The roof was closed because cool temperatures were anticipated late in the game. MLB doesn't want the roof moved during postseason games. That's too bad. The in-season policy of moving the roof when it actually gets cold makes sense. This all started when the Astros were in the postseason a few years ago. They wanted to "creatively" move their roof in a way that departed from what they were doing during the regular season. That's too bad. It ruined things for everyone. As far as parking goes, I'm fine with the concept of emptying the lot after a certain period of time. However, common sense should prevail. If cars are still lined up, it makes no sense to tell people to hurry up and wait. How about going with one hour or when there's no line of cars, whichever is later?
  4. Neither team has really used its bench. Since the comment was late in the thread, maybe it was referring to yesterday's ninth inning defensive move which put Gomez in center and Morgan in right.
  5. Yeah, like him or not, Tony's definitely a Manager of the Year candidate based on championship season results. His habit of burning the bullpen would get me nervous if I were a Cards fan. But it worked last night.
  6. It might be the same if you're switching channels on the cable box. I was watching channel 3 on a set without a box.
  7. TBS on Time Warner channel 3 is about 8 seconds ahead of WTMJ. WTMJ is about 14 seconds ahead of TBS on Time Warner channel 1202.
  8. "Not much pop in his bat" would have been the perfect words to choose.
  9. Too much is being read into this. I can't accuse someone of talking trash without some kind of proof. To me, this looks like a direct answer to a direct question. It's a lousy answer, but I really doubt that Kennedy was trying to stir the pot.
  10. Tyler Barnes announced this morning that the roof will be closed. Apparently, MLB doesn't want it moved during the game, and cool temperatures are anticipated as the game goes on. What the Brewers do during the regular season is fine. If it gets cold, they close the roof. However, the Astros kind of blew this for everybody when they wanted to get "creative" about how they used the roof during their last postseason appearance. Given that the Diamondbacks also have a retractable roof, I'd bet that there'd be little or no fuss on their part if the roof were closed mid-game. On the other hand, if the Brewers were playing a series against the Cardinals, you can bet that there'd be a fuss.
  11. I think we can chalk up that comment to being poorly worded. I certainly don't think that Ian was intending to insult Lucroy or stir a pot. If I were Jonathan, I'd have a laugh over it. I don't think there was anything wrong with the point he was trying to make about the gap between Lucroy and Gallardo not being as great as it might be had another pitcher been on deck. The flaw, of course, is that even though the strategy can be justified, Jon is a pretty good #8 hitter. If I were in Kennedy's position, I might have drawn a parallel to the fact that he didn't walk Prince either. Or I might have brought up the possibility that the Brewers could have pinch hit for Gallardo.
  12. It's not like someone would have trouble making similar observations about some of our in-game threads. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  13. I can't see any scenario in which the field would somehow be denied the grant now. That's the news I was hoping to hear. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif The wording on the project page wasn't really clear.
  14. Well, it's not a whole lot different than playing the themes to Gilligan's Island, The Brady Bunch, or Barney Miller.
  15. For what it's worth, this is the first time that two retractably roofed teams have faced each other in the postseason.
  16. There are still mass quantities of tickets available on the Diamondbacks' site.
  17. Try the directions in this post: http://brewersfandemonium...chat-issues#reply-741689
  18. It seems that three of the four guys on TBS's pregame show are murdering the pronunciation of Yovani Gallardo's name in one way or another. One is even pronouncing the "LL" as an "L."
  19. LaprilOne, thanks for offering the parking passes. Hopefully, you got a taker. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Because your posts contain a phone number, I'm going to hide them when they're no longer relevant. Because the Trading Post is hidden from bots that crawl the Internet, it's a much safer place to post phone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc.
  20. We have a topic on obstructions. That might be the best place to grab someone's attention. Stairway railings on the ends of Row 8 of the Terrace Reserved can obstruct the view of either the mound or home plate. This wouldn't be a killer obstruction, though.
  21. The sponsors would likely have a lot of input as to the dates of their promotions. A game that's highly attended anyway is going to give them more exposure.
  22. The Treyton Kilar page currently says, "FINALIST... Finished in the Top 10 in September 2011." Braminano, what does that mean?
  23. Chat was down for a while, but it's back up now. I don't like Yuni in any hole, but number seven is a better choice than most of the other holes.
