  1. I think I've posted twice in less than a minute at boards where I'm not an admin. I have some test profiles and a test board; I'll have to try it in an environment where I don't affect anyone. We can actually turn off this feature. (It's called flood control.) Before doing that, we should know how much we'd be increasing the chances of having something bad happen. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  2. There'll definitely be a FanFest. That occurs annually.
  3. The odd thing is that Billy was wearing contact lenses and stopped... and that he hit 35 homers without them.
  4. How come I never seem to run into that? I've heard of other people running into it, too, and I'm sure I've posted more than once in a minute.
  5. Loretta has never caught in a Major League game, but he did pitch once for the Brewers.
  6. I'm more comfortable tossing an apple core than I am with an orange or banana peel. As far as cigarettes, I know someone who will pull off the tip containing the end of the tobacco and crush it with her finger or shoe. That part will blow away and degrade. The icky filter is saved for the trash. And I'm with bork about the ditch. I constantly find beer bottles and cans, Hardees bags, and all kinds of other neat stuff in front of my house down by the road. Since my ditch is wet over half the time, it's really hard to clean this stuff out.
  7. I'm betting you said "retarded," which has been in the cuss filter for a couple of years. If that word were used in the chat room (which isn't currently filtered), it would certainly be a strike.
  8. In the FSN Production Is Horrible thread, we found out from Trenni that we're watching the work of a substitute production team and that the regulars will be back after the NBA season ends. In the meantime, she is aware of the concerns expressed and is passing them along.
  9. One afternoon a couple years ago, there must have been 150 or more wild turkeys in my front yard. I didn't leave the house to check them out, but it never occurred to me that I should be nervous if I did. I just figured it was a good time not to walk the dog; he was telling me about them quite loudly. They ended up peacefully walking down the road after about 25 minutes or so.
  10. Well, Getpaddled, your friend with the sunflower shells answers Insomniac's original question. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif As far as the grocery store, I get the bag I'm most likely to reuse first.
  11. A player definitely has to be out a certain amount of time for his team to collect insurance money. Ben Sheets' insurance policy calls for him to have to be on the disabled list for 90 uninterrupted days. With all the time he's spent out of the lineup, he hasn't reached that 90 day threshold yet.
  12. It's on Channel 41 in the Milwaukee market. It's not showing in the online program guide, and I'm not at home to check, but I'm wondering if this game will end up on one of the DirecTV alternate channels in the 650s. That happened a few times last summer.
  13. Are there specific shots you feel we used last season we are not using now? I love the fact that she's asking for input.
  14. I believe that Bill or Brian said that Jeff will be in the studio for tomorrow night's game. Last night, he was in the studio for the Bucks game. Trenni was 'unveiled' in the offseason when she did some interviews at the Winter Warmup.
  15. You don't happen to be using the Firefox 3 beta? That's definitely a mess. Outside of that, what happens when you reply?
  16. That would have worked, too. Dana was already the lead in the non-Brewer IGT, though.
  17. What kind of turf is in Lambeau Field these days?
  18. "A Dana Eveland sighting" has been moved to the April 5th non-Brewers In-Game Thread. We've had a handful of topics recently that would be better placed in those threads.
  19. When I receive relatively small amounts of money, I don't even bother to transfer it out of my PayPal account. PayPal will use that money before your bank account or credit card the next time you buy something.
  20. feel free to locky if the mods feel the threads are too similar Merged instead. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. MLB.com says 61 and 19 MPH winds. That's enough to make it pretty darn cold on the shady first base side. We had seats in the Terrace Box for an early season game during Miller Park's first season. I don't know what the wind speed was, but the temperature was about 60. It was absolutely freezing until the roof was closed. Although it was turned on, the heat wasn't necessary. Just cutting the wind and getting sunlight through the windows made a huge difference.
  22. Yeah, I was just going to say that too, homer. It's 60 and windy where I'm at in southern Milwaukee County. Miller Park would definitely be closer to the lake than I am. One of the online box scores should show the game time temp at the park.
  23. Or they didn't use their HDMI, DVI, or component video jacks.
  24. It's Trenni Kusnierek.
