  1. If you live in Milwaukee, you'll be blacked out from seeing Brewers games. You'll probably find helpful information by checking out some of the threads under the Major League Forum radiotv tag and the Off Topic Forum cablesatellite tag.
  2. Haudricourt should know as well as anybody that it's impossible to make that determination until after the 2009 season ends.
  3. Tuesdays, did you bother to read what's on the other end of the link?

  7. At least one mustard needs to have jalapeños. EDIT: And there needs to be something with horseradish: either horseradish mustard or stand-alone horseradish.
  8. The process to get this stuff set up is apparently big-time tedious.
  9. Sorry, Saw it on the Rotoworld site forgot to get the link. It's on JJ's Rotoworld news page. They got the information from this Haudricourt blog entry: Bush takes the hill.
  10. I am totally against the Brewers running a whole bunch-- especially to the point where the lineup is adjusted for it. If it were a tie-breaker used to decide which of two similar players should be placed where, and if running with reckless abandon didn't result, I'd be OK. But after the Brady Clark running fiasco two years ago, I'd be afraid of what might happen.
  11. Counsell batting second gives me the heebie-jeebies. With this complement of players, I'm not sure what I'd do. If you bunch up the weak guys near the bottom of the order, there'd be a big black hole down there. My gut says to do that anyway, but I wouldn't feel good about it.
  12. It's good that Yo is only going to miss a week. We don't know it'll only be a week. All we know is that his DL stay can end after a week if he happens to be healthy and ready.
  13. .345 OBP and .377 SLG at A ball projects to a Major League number that makes Counsell look good.
  14. I just wanted to note that Yuku compensated Brewerfan with one day of free Gold (ad-free) service due to last weekend's downtime. LambeauLeap, which is on a different pricing structure, received 1,000 free ad-free page views.
  15. "If you're passing it on to the next hitter, a lot of times, he's not as good of a hitter as you. Otherwise ... he'd be hitting ahead of you." I was just going to echo what Ennder said. Dusty doesn't necessarily put the good hitters ahead of the poorer ones. It's not unusual to find crap hitters batting #1 or #2 with some good guys hitting #6 or #7.
  16. Any idea how much bandwidth the Google Reader Firefox extension takes up? The reason I ask is that I have dial-up at home. I used to use Firefox's live bookmarks extensively, but it got to the point that it tied up Firefox for four or five minutes every time I started up the browser. I think the best solution for me would be a standalone reader that I could turn off when I'm not using it. I've looked at a couple, but I haven't liked what they offer. I'm thinking I might give Apple Mail a whirl when I get around to upgrading to Leopard. Since I would rarely be using it for e-mail, I could keep it shut down when I didn't want it crawling around doing its thing. Another thing out of curiosity... is anyone using RSS to keep track of the Brewerfan/LambeauLeap Yuku boards?
  17. I'd guess that in this case, there's probably a pretty big pie to share.
  18. I've heard it's a 'great' training facility. That doesn't necessarily translate into a 'great' ballpark, though.
  19. Managers obviously make more than coaches. The lowest paid manager I recall in recent years received a little under $400,000 from the Reds. $600,000 is typical for inexperienced guys, and of course, many have seven digit salaries.
  20. I'd be surprised if any coaches made seven figures. I'd bet on almost all of them being below the player minimum wage.
  21. I'd rather see the players have "days off" rather than "off days." http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I'm with Robin19 about the Thursday and Sunday thing. It's convenient, and it's sound in several ways, but you end up with lineups that are too weak. I think Al and JohnBriggs12 are pretty much on track with what they're suggesting. Every 10 days or twice a month for most starters sounds good to me. I wouldn't go so far as once a week for Cameron, though. Besides the fact that I don't think he requires that much rest, in comparison to the rest of the team, his season will be shorter overall. Fielder and Braun should be rested on a very limited basis: just often enough to be proactive without them actually having to feel overly tired.
  22. Looks like its just occasional this time. I got one (and only one) this afternoon on a board on a different server.
  23. Elizabeth Wrigley-Field already has it as a surname.
