    How do they handle minor league bobble hand outs if the game gets cancelled for some reason? Looking at the weather forecast for Thursday in Appleton is not pretty right now. I still plan on making the drive up there to see the game and get the bobble, but I have no clue about what the rules would be for a rain/snow out. If they just give away the bobbles the next day, I wouldn't be very happy since that would be the Brewers home opener.

    mine seemed to work fine. I did notice that if I changed from widescreen to normal display, I lost the inning and Arizona score as well.

    Got my second Bag o Crap tonight during Woot's annual birthday/April Fool's day ordeal. You had to actually read the description and find a code for shipping. It's definitely one of the weirdest receipts I've ever seen. on 4/1/2009, you successfully wooted. order 26xxxxxx You want 1 Random Crap You ordered 3 Random Crap. which each cost $3.00 for a subtotal of $3.00 plus shipping + $1,000,000.00 minus discount - $999,995.00 for a total of $8.00

    So I just looked at the 10 day weather forecast to see what they are saying for the home opener and it is not very fun to see. Going to the game in Appleton Thursday night--Mostly Cloudy. High 34F and low 29F. Winds E at 12 mph And the home opener on Friday--Snow. High 33F and low 32F. Winds NE at 25 mph. I know that things can change quite a bit by then, but it certainly isn't looking good so far.

    I actually went out to look at tv's today and ended up brining home a Sony Bravia 37" 720p (kdl-37l4000) that I got for an open box clearance price of $598. Very happy with it so far, and very excited about the deal!!

    I'm looking for an LCD set, probably either 32-37" and was hoping to get some opinions on a set. Sharp Aquos LC37SB24U. I have no reservations about buying a refurb and for $600 with shipping this seems to be a pretty good deal to me. My parents have had Sharp TV's and loved them, but they don't have anything HD yet. Thanks for the input. Also wondering if the extended 3 year warranty for $90 would be worth it since it is a refurb.

    Didn't get much this time around and was at work during the BOC. Did manage to pick up an Aerobed in a minute last night for $30 and a digital picture frame for a gift so it was somewhat worthwhile. Curious to see what happens next Tuesday/Wednesday since woot is notorious for celebrating April Fool's with some fun.

    Money was around spring training while we were there and I actually saw him talking to Casey for extended periods of time on a couple of different days. I would love to see him make the big league club over Lamp, but if he doesn't I think he will be starting in Nashville for certain.

    We were able to get Lawrie at spring training, didn't get an inscription though. He did sign on the sweetspot without being asked. We chatted with him for a few minutes and he seemed to be really excited about spending the year in Appleton. Overall he was very pleasant and friendly.

    The cost of an action with a $200 starting bid, or a $200 reserve is the same price actually so it makes no sense to start with a reserve that high and then list the auction starting for that low.

    Having a stadium with a retractable roof should really give their attendance a boost as well. I'd feel a lot better about going to a game there if I knew it wasn't going to be halted by rain or just plain uncomfortably humid.

    If anyone is going to be there April 7, 8 or 9th for the Cards vs Pirates, I can forward you an email for some discount tickets. We've been going down there every year lately and they sent me a link to purchase tickets in the all-inclusive Coca-cola area for only $40 for those games. Pretty good deal for a decent view of the game, free buffet and free beer and soda. Makes me wonder how there ticket sales are going if they are discounting those by over 50% for the opening week of the season.

    here's to hoping that Rivera is our opening day catcher then. I really think Bush deserves to start the first game and Suppan should be starting the home opener.

    Wow! Didn't see this coming for Marquette. Shakes up my bracket, but in better spirits I hope James is able to help them tomorrow. He didn't deserve to have his college career ended with an injury.

    Anybody catch the Brewers 30 in 30 show? We didn't get back from Phoenix until late last night and I must have forgot to DVR it. It does re-air on Sat 3/21 at 6:30 am though. Thanks for the HD heads up brucrustu, I totally missed that tonight.

    Probably geared more toward AndThat's question than RyDogg66's but I heard almost the same exact question about low water pressure in one faucet on 620's Saturday morning "mr Fix it" show about two weeks ago. Their go to plumber called in and said that before replacing the whole faucet, which can get expensive, most faucets have a vaccuum seal in them which needs to be replaced every 5-10 years. He said the problem was most common in faucets with the extendable sprayer. I would actually try calling in to the show tomorrow morning if you can, just to see if they can provide you with a solution. Some how reminds me of my dad who always wanted to monkey around with stuff at our house, but never really knew what exactly he was doing. Either that or it's the fact that I only listen to AM radio, or talk channels on XM and this is the only programing available.

    jcrOnk--I am planning on calling my rep either tomorrow if he is there are Monday morning at the latest so I will post an update on here if I can find an answer to the Metavante passes. hawing--West Allis for me, so they really didn't have very far to go.

    Got my tickets today!! I can just feel the excitment level rising. Question for other SSH's--in the renewal notice last fall it stated "Pay in Full by Nov 17 and receive a thank-you gift: *Full-season accounts --Receive a $70 food and beverage credit for each seat held on your account. *20-Game, 40-Game and Terrace Ticket Treat accounts --receive 10 single-game Metavante Club passes for each seat held on your account" I paid in full, mostly with my extra playoff money, by the Nov 17th deadline but didn't get any Metavante passes. Did any one get these with their tickets? Just want to know before I call my ticket rep Monday to order parking passes, which I forgot to do when ordering tickets.

    temke--you just made my heart fludder a little. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif I would love to see my tickets come before we leave for Arizona on Tuesday morning. For one I love the rush when tickets come each season and for two I wouldn't have to worry about them sitting in my apartment mailbox for a week while I am gone.
