  1. Does Freddy get to start the 7th?
  2. The double pushes Turang's July OPS up to just over .650 in 70 plate appearances, not Earth shattering but moving out of the black hole category and into OKish with the defense.
  3. Hopefully today marks the day Freddy finds himself again for the rest of the season.
  4. Well that got interesting, forcing them to use another pen arm at least something
  5. Regardless of how the last 2 games play out the Reds fan have to just be so torqued that they would be solidly owning the division if not for the games against us.
  6. Sure, but at his current pace Sal will break into the top in July of next year 😜
  7. Your top 4 are spot on for me, but Chris Saenz's debut has to go 5, certainly for those on Brewerfan at the time, it was this shot of energy game that signaled that farm system was really producing some players, and against a tough line-up. I'd Jenkins 6th since that game was closer and getting a couple of hits off Orel is a solid achievement in a debut.
  8. Probably not of course, but 4 of their last 5 losses have been by just a single run, so It's not that hard to imagine them having gone on a just absurd run with a little more offense.
  9. Got love winning a game in 2 and a half hours on get-away day as well.
  10. If Woodruff comes back and joins Burnes and Yeli parting like it's 2019 this could be a really fun fall.
  11. Turang's walk numbers up a lot this month now, and going back to June his contact has been dramatically better. I think that is part of the adjustment process for him.
  12. I don't know this fake the bunt strategy seems to be working really well for Turang.
  13. I do love the MVP version of Yelich.
  14. I was trying to figure out how to do worse than Winker's .247 SLG, and was disturbed to learn that JBJ is still playing and has put up a 397 OPS I thought baseball was a family game. In any event prior to this year even JBJ always beat that terrible of a SLG

  16. From a finance side a player should also be evaluating how signing affects their entire career. A-ball players of course aren't making any noteworthy money, but at least you don't have to try and secure a 6 figure signing bonus anymore to live off for a few years. That starts to change some of the calculus. Getting started in pro-ball earlier for sure gets you to minor league free agency sooner, which is now worth some good money, and it increases the chances you hit MLB free agency sooner all of which add up to significant potential benefit. If I am a pitcher at this stage and offered a chance with the Brewers I would also have to look at that as a significant plus...
  17. Frelick, Black, Urias, Keston and a couple of other prospects in the 10-20 range? 20 players is over the top, but the Angels need a lot of players having failed terribly at the 2 all time greats approach so quantity may actually be more useful to them then normal.
  18. Bellinger coming back to being well above average is even more surprising then Yelich. The last 2 years for Cody were horrific followed by just plain bad.
  19. Could I make more on tomorrow night's Powerball or by going back in time and betting the Brewers would shut the Reds out 3 games in a row?
  20. Any ideas on why this game won't stream on MLB while I'm in St. Paul? Fox is airing the Braves game.
  21. At the moment he is absolutely the best player in the game at the teams biggest weakness, DH and would make that rotation look closer to the imposing unit from a few years back. I think you have to at least kick the tires. Maybe the Angels get side tracked into a quantity for quality type deal? You don't want to look back after the fact and go 'we could have beat that offer' .
  22. Winning series is nice, but now would be an excellent time for a sweep to actually have a small lead in the division. No surprise though that our record has been very good the last few weeks once we started to score runs again.
  23. Getting closer to needing to get at least 1 new vehicle and I'm definitely considering EV.
  24. I feel like Yoho would have relatively little leverage. Yes he can get redrafted, but how good do you have to be as a 24 year old to significantly improve your stock let alone trying to get lined up to have at least a chance at making decent money in your playing career.
