  1. Just when people begin counting Tyrone Taylor out he starts swinging a hot bat.
  2. I don't really see the need to bring up Taylor, he obviously still needs to develop and is only 22. Broxton is 26 so not a good comparison. Sure, Maverick is the future but if Taylor can turn things around he could and I stress could be a decent trade asset. If Taylor gets an undeserved promotion I think any value he has goes out the window.
  3. Including five against lefties, which is pretty amazing for him.
  4. It has been working fine thus far. The main issue right now is it is a seperate subscription so it costs $40 a month if you want ESPN, ESPN2 as well as Fox Sports. You can pay $20 if you just want Fox and not ESPN. Hope they can work it out and it gets cheaper but still much cheaper than cable.
  5. I am a current Sling subscriber and have just signed up for the extra stream today. Will report back.
  6. Win today and the Brewers are out of the cellar and the Pirates are in it.
  7. I don't get it. If they see him as an utillity guy that will need to play CF why is he not getting any playing time in CF?
  8. If Peralta is sent down hopefully he could work on things to get better and the Brewers could gain another year of control if he stays down for over a month. Plus if Guerra shows something in the majors then maybe he could be an asset at the trade deadline.
  9. Wang can be considered fringe because last year he was removed from the 40 man and anybody could have picked him up that had a free spot. With that said Wang is one of the fringe guys I am watching along with Dustin Houle, Garrett Cooper, Jorge Ortega and Nate Orf. Brent Suter as well but they are pretty tempered compared to Clancy.
  10. Pena was a fringe guy but so is Freeman, wouldn't be surprised at all if he is gone when Davies comes up. Probably will be Cravy but maybe not.
  11. I'm also glad Reed has started out well in AAA however he is still not getting any time in CF even with a bunch of AAAA type guys there.
  12. Jorge Ortega just continues to find ways to get outs and win games, with of course no walks. A fascinating player to see move through the system.
  13. I wasn't a huge fan of Gantner either as a baseball player in the late 80's. However, with that said I don't see it ever happening without hindsight. Dale Sveum had a horrible injury late 1988 so there was no chance of him replacing Gantner. Bill Spiers just finished AA so they probably were not ever going to rely on him to play 2B even though he ended up receiving a bunch of playing time. The Brewers infield was pretty thin that year, I mean they were using Gus Pollidor quite a bit early in the season. I don't see the Brewers making the infield weaker or a 100 loss Orioles team from 1988 (even though they ended up very good in '89) trading for a 36 year old Jim Gantner. Plus they played in the same division.
  14. I don't want to burn either service clock. Another few weeks in the minors and they get Davies for another year. Wouldn't be opposed to sending him right back down if he makes the start.
  15. Are they really going with Garrett Cooper at third?
  16. I wish him nothing but the best, great to see he landed on such a good team. I certainly would take him over the likes of Boyer and Torres now but quite frankly thought he was done last year. Congrats to him for proving people like me wrong.
  17. Could also be the day that Garza returns from the DL.
  18. Those splits don't seem to make sense. It indicates no home runs vs a lefty but then indicates Scooter has hit two home runs against left handed starters.
  19. Unfortunately I can't go to the game now so instead of having them go to waste the first person to message me can have two free terrace box tickets. I will e-mail them to you.
  20. That is a lot of money to spend to just get rid of them when some guys get healthy. They could have just chosen a couple of more minimum wage guys with options so I think Capuano and Boyer are here for the long haul.
  21. I don't see Ramirez blocking Cooper, Ramirez has had a couple of years there and hasn't shown much. While Cooper isn't a highly touted prospect or anything he is over a year younger and has shown more in the minors than Ramirez.
  22. Good to see that Biloxi should have a quality team again and that the Brewers will have an exhibition game there. It would be nice if Biloxi and the Brewers can maintain a healthy relationship with each other so the situation at AAA doesn't happen at the AA level any time soon.
