  1. Yeah, I don't think guys like Fields and Strong are out of the woods yet, a decent chance that they protect more than 4 additional players from the rule 5 draft.
  2. With the World Series now over when do the Brewers have to get down to 40 players? Kyle Lohse is a free agent but Nelson and Blazek have to be added back bringing it to 41. They will also have to dump a bunch of guys if they want to protect Arcia and other players in the minors.
  3. I think we are missing an obvious movie tie in for Star Wars day. If Kyle Wren ends up making the team have a Kyle Wren bobble to match the villain from Force Awakens.
  4. Who is the most likely to be first graduate off the list? Davies, Cravy and Goforth are almost sure things but I think Jorge Lopez is a good bet as well to reach 50 innings next year after the trade deadline. Maybe even Nathan Orf graduates without ever being a prospect on these lists. Who will be the biggest climber? A couple of guys not really even getting votes in Angel Ventura and Dustin Houle. Who will have the biggest drop? Demi Orimoloye made such a splash that I expect him to come back to earth a little bit much along the same way Gatewood and Harrison did. Still could be really good but has a long ways to go. Most likely to make a comeback? I think Kirby and Williams both make a nice comeback but we won't see it in 2016. I'm thinking Michael Strong has a nice year and is in the big leagues at some point in 2016.
  5. Interesting interview with Seth Everett yesterday made Murphy sound like a horrible person and potential clubhouse cancer. Would fit a position of need at 3B and also a lefty, could also play at 1B if Lind is traded.
  6. 1. O. Arcia 2. J. Lopez 3. B. Phillips 4. M. Reed 5. J. Hader 6. Z. Davies 7. T. Clark 8. G. Lara 9. T. Wagner 10. A. Houser 11. C. Ponce 12. T. Taylor 13. C. Coulter 14. K. Medeiros 15. B. Suter 16. N. Orf 17. G. Cooper 18. J. Gatewood 19. C. Sneed 20. D. Orimoloye 21. W. Wang 22. D. Williams 23. J. Ortega 24. M. Harrison 25. M. Diplan
  7. I couldn't agree with this more. Kind of odd to include Peterson with the others as he is the type of guy that would get playing time in order to prevent service time for prospects. Doubt he even makes it to arbitration with the Brewers.
  8. There should be no more talk if Braun at third as he even said it was a disaster recently. Time to move on, it is not going to happen.
  9. Sure, Suter will never be a number 1 or a potential ace like Lopez but I wouldn't undersell him either. He may not look like him but reminds me of a left hand Zach Davies. He knows how to pitch and goes after batters. Wouldn't be surprised at all if he started for the Brewers at some point in 2016.
  10. Disagree with that part, his defense has always been a concern at third and he is not good at all there. He is a Shane Peterson type that can play 3B if necessary similar to Shane Peterson can play CF if necessary. The Brewers don't need another corner outfielder so he would have limited value on this team.
  11. The teams inquiring about him will be asking the same questions. If a team overvalues this smaller stretch and overpays then I am all in favor of trading him. Set the bar high and if they don't get it then see if he can replicate the success the first half of 2016 and if he does he will be a hot trade chip at the deadline or after the season.
  12. It is nice the Cubs have something to play for today. The Brewers get the 5th pick with a loss or Oakland win.
  13. A one game play in is better than nothing. I wish the Brewers had that chance in 1987,88 and 92. Maybe they could have pulled off a nice little run and actually won the World Series.
  14. Fine with the idea of trading Lind if the price is right but would rather have Rogers play the majority of the time over Morrison. Maybe if Morrison is cheap and actually can play some outfield still. If he can play outfield would rather have him than Peterson.
  15. Yeah, it is probably one last look at Schafer but with Stearns it may not even matter. I try to read into some of the moves made in September but in the end is probably pointless since Stearns has the final say. Everything is so up in the air and unpredictable which makes me so excited to see what they do in the off season.
  16. For most of the video I am thinking to myself am I missing something. Sure, he stares down the home run for a long time, but then it finally comes at the :52 second mark.
  17. The last few seasons Rogers has hit righties better than lefties, no reason to platoon Rogers if they are going to give him a shot at first. I don't even know if Clark will survive the 40 man after the season.
  18. If I had to sign someone it would be Austin Jackson on a one year deal.
  19. Well that is the key, if the return is right. Boomer mentioned a top flight pitching or 3B prospect and I would be in agreement with that. However, this is the case for pretty much anybody, if the return is right then the player should be traded. If the return isn't right then I do think he can be part of the future still.
  20. viewtopic.php?f=64&t=32999 thanks, wouldn't it make sense to bring up Arcia than over Rivera? Service time is not an issue with Rivera. It is for Arcia.
  21. They need to preserve 40 man spots. That is why they don't call up guys like Hader and Wren.
  22. Skip Ortega, go Lopez. With day off, it's his regular day I believe. That's his true Ace moment! Unless he is replacing Nelson next start. But in end, hope my boy Hader gets it done! Pretty much this. Hader hopefully gets it done but if not Lopez should decide the fate of this team, not a guy that was in A ball most of the year.
  23. I don't know if there is anybody fromm AAA to call up. I guess Clark has played outfield. Wren doesn't have to be added to the 40 man so doubt he is called up. Would be simple enough to call Fields up or wait until after Sunday to call up Reed.
  24. Looking at the attendance in Biloxi for these games is it common for attendance to be so bad during the playoffs? They seemed pretty excited to get a team and are about to win it all and nobody shows up.
  25. Never like to see Braun or Lucroy hurt but the step down from those two is pretty steep. Top 5 seems more and more likely.
