  1. He is already past the point where he can get a year of service in 2026 unless he would be top 2 in ROY voting so it would be after the 2032 season. Of course a new agreement or lockout could change everything.
  2. Interesting matchup with a not very good LHP against a team not very good against LHP.
  3. The Brewers certainly need offense and Lara is on a hot streak. Kind of came out of nowhere, always been a nice player with decent OBP but has been a great couple week stretch in AAA. Don't want him playing the Greg Jones role though, if Lara is up then let him play, especially since he switch hits.
  4. A 20% walk rate is nice to see out of Mitchell but I sure would have liked to have seen him crush that 3-1 meatball he got in the 9th and won the game instead of leaving it up to Ortiz.
  5. DL Hall has been lights out, 7 straight scoreless outing to start the season, put out the flames in the 6th when Miz came out of the game.
  6. Megill not being able to create any swing and miss is obviously a big weakness. Not a ton of confidence in Uribe either, 2025 Koenig isn't here and it's Royals Zerpa instead of WBC Zerpa.
  7. Nah, should have been an easy out. Take an out when you can.
  8. The offense has been very Jeckyl and Hyde with Vaughn/Chourio gone but having the expected loss of Yelich against RHP is going to hurt significantly. Their play against LHP thus far can't be ignored, a major weakness 1/10 of the way through.
  9. That team with Hader wasn't ever going to win anything, they were a sinking ship. Having that 2024 team with Burnes is a different story, will never know.
  10. Disagree that Mitchell hasn't had much success, he has been an above average player when he gets on the field. Plus, he had a big playoff game winning HR during the 2024 playoffs.
  11. Would have been nice if the game was a little closer to attend live but looking forward to Saturday. Denver looking to continue their current trend of winning a championship every other year.
  12. Yoho has even pitched at AAA so doubt it is him, kind of boring but probably McGee.
  13. Definitely don't think attaching too much weight to Chourio. Hitting against LHP was specifically mentioned and Chourio was 343/384/584/973, basically MVP level. Vaughn a step down but still a hefty 313/389/470/859 against LHP. The Brewers are very good against RHP so they have that covered, when the Brewers get Chourio/Vaughn back they are a significantly more balanced lineup. Put in a LHP to face Turang/Yelich, let's see what happens when Chourio/Vaughn come up after them.
  14. Looks like Chourio and Vaughn will be assessed tomorrow and hopefully there is some good news on their timetable to return. There is only so long you can patch a lineup together with the likes of Matos/Perkins/Ortiz and expect positive results. Playoff Bauers is gone as well and back to the player he has shown he has been his entire career.
  15. It sure makes it easier on the Red Sox bullpen when there are 4 LHB and then 3 RHB in a row. Hopefully pounce on Gray early and cruise to a victory.
  16. Uribe was mentioned before and that is what scares me the most. If he and Contreras get into it that will be a firestorm. It will make that whole Siri exchange a couple of years back look like nothing.
  17. Would be great if Woodruff pitches a strong 6 innings and Woodford/Drohan can finish it up in a blowout.
  18. Yeah, I would think the plan is for Drohan to eat some innings today if necessary.
  19. Unless there is an injury to a pitcher I don't believe Gasser/Crow have met the 15 day minimum stay after being optioned.
  20. If he turns out good that is what you want, maybe one more option year if that was on the table. He is 31 after the 2035 season, decline years after that. Perhaps the risk isn't worth two free agent years but wish they had two more year with Brice Turang right now and they will be paying him more than $50 million if he sticks around through 2029.
  21. Rays win that trade pretty easily if Rasmussen was more healthy. If he stays healthy now the Rays will get some nice assets in return when traded mid season or after this season.
  22. Sure seems like it will be a struggle against lefties until Vaughn and Chourio get back. Pretty weak lineup no matter who Murphy puts out there.
  23. Ashby's contract isn't market rate, the market requires long term financial commitment, Ashby has one year deals he has to earn the final two seasons. There are risks to the contracts Peralta, Ashby, Chourio or Pratt sign but they pretty much eliminate risk at the back end of the contracta, which is valuable
  24. Considering they charge $10 for a souvenir cup of soda at Amfam, not horrible if you go often and you or you kids enjoy soda at the game. I worked concessions at Camp Randall this season and they sold a Stanley with one fill of soda for I believe $60 and we sold through our quantity of 5 both games I was there.
