  1. Same goal today as when the series started Thursday, win 3 of 4 to win this series and the season series. 3 game swing here, be up by 1 game over the Dodgers or up by 4 after this game.
  2. I guess I don't understand the trade deadline. I thought if you were in the majors at any point during the season you couldn't be traded after the deadline. Last weekend playing for the Athletics and this weekend the Brewers.
  3. So he was okay to pitch when warming up last night? What is going on here?
  4. Leonard would make sense, would rather have him than Bae.
  5. Going to bed after that soul crushing inning to be down 4-2, I would have to say that was the most unexpectedly delightful win to wake up to ever
  6. I'll try to bring the positivity back as well, win 3 of 4 and the Brewers win the season series and the tie breaker advantage against the Dodgers.
  7. With this stretch of games they needed to option a pitcher, bring up another reliever until that spot comes up again, bring up Crow for one start and option for another reliever. If they have starting pitching depth then use it, bad roster management that Crow didn't start one game during a 17 game stretch when they are trying to go with a 6 man rotation.
  8. Yeah, getting Skubal does nothing in this run of poor play. Strictly on the offense.
  9. It makes sense to look at the Wild Card standings since the Brewers now have such a small lead for the division, only the Astros have a smaller leader in MLB. Good to know they are pretty much locked into the 4 seed if it comes to that.
  10. Hey we may get to witness both in the same game in the not too distant future. Something to look forward to.
  11. First and third with no outs in the 11th and can't score. Can't stand Hamilton, no reason he should be so aggressive at the plate in that situation and Ortiz was just as awful. If the offense has any competence they win this series and instead get swept. At least May did what he was traded for to do.
  12. It doesn't make sense but the Brewers need offense now so if Ortiz produces keep on playing him at 3B and sacrifice the defense.
  13. Well this game can help validate the trade or provide more reason why the prospects given up were too much. May needs to be the stopper and based on what we are seeing from Harrison one of the top two or three pitchers down the stretch and into the playoffs.
  14. It's rough if Ortiz/Pratt and now Turang potentially can't play. May be getting close to breaking the glass in case of emergency and seeing what Jesus can do.
  15. Wheels are falling off and seems imminent the Brewers lead will disappear before the next home stand. Would have been okay with a win Monday but losing streak incoming. Will see how they respond with the adversity.
  16. Chourio was in a major slump in July but has been great in August. It's a long season, can't expect players to be hot for all 6 months. If they were they would be favorite for MVP.
  17. Tough loss. They really needed to start strong as this road trip has the potential to spiral into a disaster. Murphy knew there was one guy that could beat them and let it happen anyway..
  18. It is a good time to stash players with major league experience in the minors so they are in the organization August 31.
  19. Wilson is not good, those are the type of guys you do make short sighted decisions on because they are not part of the future.
  20. Durbin was a good player and the Brewers probably thought the same thing but getting Harrison was considered an upgrade. Zerpa getting injured was unfortunate but had to give up something to get him and a late blooming average player was the cost, if the opportunity presented itself again they should take it. As stated, Ortiz is outperforming Rengifo over the same period of time, they gave him ample opportunity and he couldn't take advantage of it.
  21. They really need to start the trip strong. Henderson/Harrison/May should get a series win against the Padres.
  22. A good day, took two off the magic number. Get the series win tomorrow with Miz.
  23. I agree with this, even though he doesn't really deserve it I believe Gasser is going back to Nashville after his start to get another reliever in and then when Gasser's spot comes back next week they go with Crow.
  24. I initially saw this on Youtube but didn't click on it because of the "Fraud" in the pitcture of the video turned me off but much better than I thought. At the very least there is a positive with Jackson Chourio and reason to expect him to have continued success in the playoffs as he will be here a while.
