  1. I could see that but there was a late season acquisition in 2023 that is an avid fisherman, Josh Donaldon. After that can see why the Brewers could be reluctant to bring outsiders in that mess with their current mindset.
  2. Two game threes tomorrow, hoping for a couple more.
  3. I believe it was 7PM, but the 2008 Game 3 against the Phillies was a night game. Being the first playoff game since 1982 also contributed heavily but still the best crowd during the Miller Park/AmFam era IMHO.
  4. Contreras did get the day off, Brewers clinched on a loss that Sunday to the Cardinals and Contreras did not play.
  5. Will be good to see 4 teams eliminated. Would be crazy if 3 out of the final 4 NL teams were from the NL Central.
  6. HBO Max would get you through the NLDS/NLCS and for the World Series the FOX Sports App or just watching on FOX. Probably can find some sort of trial of HBO Max for a month.
  7. I don't belive Fedde would have been DFA on Sunday if the Brewers planned on using him during the playoffs. He performed better than expected, ate some innings and filled his role. Don't need that in the playoffs.
  8. A week late, would have been nice to see a celebration but first time at Busch.
  9. Looking forward to the Gasser/Miz combo, two likely starters on the 2026 team. Abbott has been pretty bad at Amfam so expect more of the same.. Brewers cruise to the 1 seed.
  10. It is more like a pool of players that teams pick their 26 man playoff roster from. Fedde is part of that group of players that could be on the playoff roster but doesn't have to.
  11. Never been a Bauers fan but he has been their best hitter in September when everybody else seems to be slumping. Should be able to find more at bats for Hoskins to get him going but will give credit to Bauers for earning the playing time.
  12. I would say another early week sweep is incoming but Priester is pitching tomorrow. Something has to give.
  13. I wait it out now, if the Cubs fail to play the Brewers in the NLDS there should be quite a bit of tickets available under face value. The Brewers could always sell for cheap as well, believe it was $10 last year for a game 3 Wild Card that I bought with one of ther promotions after they lost game 1. I understand World Series tickets will be nearly impossible and out of my price range if that ever happens.
  14. Hopefully the Brewers can return the favor and have a victory celebration of their own in San Diego in a couple of weeks.
  15. I actually went down to St Louis yesterday, first time for a game there. Wish they could have put a better team out there yesterday, seemed like Jansen and Hoskins were up there for every key at bat and never could get the big hit. Gasser pitched well except for the 2 run shot. Fedde soaked up a bunch of innings but he started horribly and it was pretty much over after his first few batters. Winning the division is great but you are not going to see highlights years from now watching the Cubs lose to win the division. Couldn't even come out to the field to recognize the Brewers fans there because there was a youth game after. Hopeful for much more significant celebrations yet to come.
  16. There is pretty much zero chance of 16 position players on the Brewers postseason roster.
  17. Yeah, the 21st is a Sunday so would make sense with no announced starter yet. Maybe considering Peralta as well.
  18. Bauers should really never start against a lefty. The best team gainst a lefty includes both Vaughn and Hoskins IMHO.
  19. Would not remove Patrick, he would be my most trusted RHP in the bullpen behind Uribe and a healthy Megill. Think they go with a 14/12 mix position player to pitcher in the NLDS. If all the LHP are healthy(Hall) think Zastryzny is odd man out and if Megill is healthy think Anderson doesn't make the cut of the NLDS.
  20. I am not expecting a sweep since the Angels still have Mike Trout but it is pretty close, the Brewers are trotting out their playoff starting pitching against a poor team.
  21. He is but so is Monasterio at the big league level. A depth piece in case of injury. Think he is ahead of Seigler in case of emergency.
  22. Since they can't call Gasser up until Sunday maybe one more bullpen game in the minors and call him up for the Angels series. If Megill and Mears are ready though may not be spot.
  23. Disappointing series but have a real good chance to turn it around right away at home against of a couple of teams under 500.
  24. Doubt the Brewers care if somebody claims Payamps, would save the Brewers money. It's not like a playoff team could use him in the playoffs. Only a matter of time with the likes of Patrick, Megill and Gasser making their way back to Milwaukee.
