    Both Uribe and Romero pitched yesterday. Would think the Brewers want Uribe available for the Cubs series so maybe an Anderson option on Monday to get Uribe back on the roster and Romero called up Tuesday when rosters expand.

    We are pretty spoiled of 3.33 is cromulent for a pitcher. However, he is perhaps cromulent as a starter and exceptional as a reliever, maybe not even cromulent level as a starter.

    I know a number of White Sox fans and for about a month after the All Star Break heard a lot of complaining about how bad Peters was, had something like a 300 OPS after the break and then suddenly became Barry Bonds.

    If May is good to go then just have him take Gasser's original spot on Sunday. If they really want May to start against the Cubs then will be difficult to avoid a Gasser option as they would need a starter Sunday.

    Also keep in mind the Brewers have an open 40 man spot so really doesn't have to be a guy currently on the 40 man.

    Saw that Eugenio Suarez and T J Friedl were placed on waivers by the Reds. How Suarez has fallen over the course of one year from the prized trade deadline player to struggling pretty much ever since. Brewers don't have a use for Friedl but Suarez is the type of player that could fall to the Brewers since he is paid well and under performing. However, don't know if he fits as wouldn't remove any active postion player for him other than perhaps Yelich, and we know Yelich isn't going anywhere.

    It is overblown, especially by the media during the dog days of summer when there is far less to talk about with baseball being the lead. However, Murphy makes it a show because he pinch runs for him, similar to taking out a pitcher mid at bat. Can eliminate the drama and still make a point by subbing for him in between innings. With that said, don't expect much talk about this going forward and largely forgotten until when Murphy does this to the next rookie in 2027.

    I think they should call up Adams as they are still kind of weak against LHP, bottom third. Lockridge would be a nice guy to have if he was one of those guys that crushed LHP but not the case.

    I'm confident the Brewers don't trot out that lineup once during the playoffs.

    Jefry Yan should at least make this series a little interesting. All three of these Brewers starters will likely be starting a game in the playoffs so hopefully can take care of the last place Mets.

    Disagree, the Brewers shown they don't mind paying guys in the short term with little risk. The most likely outcome is they keep one of Bauers/Vaughn, just a matter of who. Pretty slim chance they get rid of both.

    I agree with this. Throwing Harrison/May/Miz/Henderson against the Cubs. Maybe an outside shot they use Gasser on his bullpen day today because of the Braves lefites.

    They won a couple of games from the first place Astros last weekend, they should put up a pretty good fight at home. Boyd has been stinking it up as well lately

    Would have like to have seen Mitchell today, he has been swinging the bat well recently and hitting lefties, obviously Sale is a tough lefty though.

    Failed to mention the fine outing for Bryse Wilson who knew all along that Joey was a generational player.

    This is the last non Cubs weekday game home game left this year. I know this because I have some ticket vouchers I was looking at redeeming and just realized that won't be happening. I always enjoyed going to weekday games in September, kind of bummed.

    Year over year there is certainly no regression and even better defensively. Maybe his regression from April when he was a potential MVP. However, he was at that level again in July before struggling thus far in August. Ultimately though I can't imagine outsiders view him as a player that regressed and has lower market value.

    It is the most likely scenario, neither of Fischer/Burke are going to be the opening day starter in 2027. Looking at paying Vaughn or Bauers in 2027 but highly unlikely both will be gone.

    Very late to this but that HR by Yelich was pretty big at the time as it had the makings of a game where the Brewers let their opponent hange around, fortunately things escalated quickly for the Brewers. Very odd that Wilson had a couple of lefties warming and still didn't make the change against Yelich. It's not like Murphy has shown he is willing to sub in Vaughn for Yelich during a pinch hit opportunities.

    Vaughn has shown no indication he can produce like Bauers has this year since he is basically a platoon bat, of course Bauers gave no indication that he could produce like Bauers produced this year.

    This is one area why the playoffs could potentially end differently this year. Last year it was Freddy Peralta as a starter, Miz pitching bulk innings and trying to fill out 9 innings for every other game in the playoffs. This year they have real starters that can pitch quality innings and don't have to lean so heavily on Chad Patrick, Aaron Ashby and Jared Koenig(how soon we forget).

    Deserves another bump after Bauers performance yesterday. Really astonsihing the year he is having. I would have never believed he could hit LHP consistently but his overall slash line is better against LHP than RHP this season. I don't think he takes a short term deal after this type of season but give him the qualifying offer and hope he takes a one year deal.
