  1. We all have our favorites but I am glad they at least called up one of the three, wish it was even sooner. There was always the potential a guy like Mitchell could provide a spark that Davis never could. Hopefully he continues to play well down the stretch and they view him as a potential starter from day 1 next year.
  2. I find it hard to believe they acquired Rosenthal for PR. The average Joe that knows Hader and was upset about that has no clue who Rosenthal is. It was a risk that didn't pay off, not going to read any further into it.
  3. I thought they were going to leave him out to dry with nobody in the bullpen. Watched the whole inning and just horrible.
  4. Brewers fans are truly spoiled if complaining about the Brewers trotting out Freddy Peralta to start.
  5. If it was the case of him struggling against RHP but still mashing LHP I think he could play a role here but that isn't the case so pass.
  6. Articles are good because they can create discussion. Mass Haas and his rule 5 one in the minors for example or the September opportunity in the main forums. Articles saying a guy was optioned/recalled/put on IL seem kind of lame when already discussed in other posts hours or a day ago but I will take your advice and just scroll past.
  7. I think the list put together by Mass Haas is the way I would go as well. Would consider Valerio being only 21 but hard to believe another team would keep him on the roster all year. If a Devanney/Lutz/Andrews type got drafted I would be glad they had the opportunity but don't really see a Brewer being picked.

  9. As for predictions: Prior to September 1 Alexander down - Perdomo up Reyes down - Peterson up Gott up - Strzelecki down Ashby up - Milner down September 1 Cousins up Frelick up - Gustave 60 day IL
  10. Rosenthal is already on the IL. No need to activate. If he gets healthy he can be on the payoff roster.
  11. Yeah, I don't get these. Are these being posted on social media and then drive traffic here.

  13. Doubt it, they promote it over the weekend and then crickets. If they had plans would have said at least something.
  14. The Brewers have not been playing like we have all hoped but having a chance to win a 7 game series against the Dodgers is a positive. Heaney is the Dodgers version of Jason Alexander, regression will hit him hard.
  15. Nah, he has always been bad against lefties, probably closer to 0% than 100% that they were ever counting on him to hammer lefties.
  16. I think we get enough Spring Training coverage from jsonline for Spring Training. The Athletic has done a nice job in the past as well but they seem to have quite a bit of turnover on who covers the Brewers and as noted right now that is nobody. I personally don't really need much Spring Training coverage though.
  17. Taylor is now out of options and don't think they would DFA him over Davis. Taylor has been a disappointment this season but still a good 4th outfielder if that is his role.
  18. He is a rookie so will be making around league minimum for the next three years if the Brewers want him plus a couple of more years to option him to the minors
  19. He is saying to keep him under a year of service at the end of 2023. If that is their mindset then yes they would have to keep him down longer in 2023 if they bring him up in 2022.
  20. I would hope a pitcher since it is only a couple of days. Shuffle the last guy on a daily basis for a few days if need be. If Urias is sent down still have to wait 10 days.
  21. Don't understand why Brosseau wasn't hitting there.
  22. Hoby has been absolutely brutal over the last couple of weeks.
  23. Cousins just recently pitched back to back this week on 8/16 and 8/17 so could be an indication he is getting close. Good point on Severino, if they really need a catcher in September they could always call him up. Mejia has no options left next year so would have to think he is near top of the list to be DFA if they need room.

  25. Every day in the majors counts as a service day. September used to not count toward rookie eligibility.
