  1. I can see this being the case as well, unfortunately.
  2. That reminds me of Curt LetsPanic I see what bjkrautk did there. I agree. I hope the magic number is 00 tomorrow as well!
  3. A classic “brewmann04ism” right there! I think joe=job and works=world. Or maybe it’s exactly what it says…
  4. Uggh…. Worst. Cheer. Ever. Just wait until the magic number is Oooooooooooooooooverbay!!! Ha! That’s actually way better somehow.
  5. Uggh…. Worst. Cheer. Ever.
  6. Not sure if the ballpark will be full or not. This has been a VERY difficult year to sell tickets. We’ve had to drastically undercut the original ticket prices when re-selling via StubHub (which we rarely have only has to do in the past) and we weren’t even able to sell tickets for one game (which is the first time that we had to eat the full cost of our tickets).
  7. It’s not though. The Brewers had 9 more wins than St. Louis at the start of today. Even if Milwaukee didn’t win again this year in the regular season they’d finished 91 and 71. The Cardinals have to go 9-2 to tie. Anything is possible, but the chances of the Brewers finishing the year with a 14 game losing streak and the Cardinals also winning 25 out of their final 27 games is in reality zero percent. The mere fact that these conversations are still being had is nauseating. Maybe if the Brewers would win a single game people would stop worrying. It is becoming more feasible with each day that the doomsday scenarios can actually come to fruition.
  8. You know, this is why we are stuck at 3 for so long! And also why the Cardinals are making their run, just like in 2011.
  9. Game over. Hope we can somehow win tomorrow.
  10. They're 2.5 up on the Reds and 4 up on the Padres. They're probably handling this better than some Brewerfans are. Truth. That’s what being a fan of a successful franchise will do for you.
  11. He shouldn’t be walking people then. Especially against the Cardinals, where they seem to score more often than not.
  12. I want no part of St. Louis in the postseason. They are in their magical end-of-season run. I’d rather face SF or LA.
  13. Correct, the Wild Card teams will be seeded #4 and #5 regardless of their overall record as compared to the division winners. Thanks!
  14. To verify, for home-field advantage for the NLCS, assuming the Brewers have the #2 seed, the only way they’d be the away team would be if they faced the #1 seed. If the #1 Wild Card would make it to the NLCS, the Brewers would have home-field advantage, right?
  15. Schoop put as much effort into that missed foul ball as he did while on the Brewers. Only thing he did well while in Milwaukee was pout. Can’t stand the guy.
  16. Yeah, who knows how things will work out, but if the extra rest means that our starters are stronger in the playoffs, I'll gladly take better odds of World Series trophy over better odds for a Cy Young award. But why can't you have both?
  17. Lo Cain is in the #88 Dez Bryant jersey. Brett Anderson is wearing the retro Alstott Bucs jersey. So outside of Counsell and Burnes, who are the other three people wearing Packers jerseys?
  18. Burnes the only player wearing a Packers jersey? Just give him the $300M extension now. I only see CC in a Packers jersey. I can't even find Burnes at all. Burnes is behind the Irvin #88 Cowboys jersey. Is that JBJ? It’s hard to identify players outside of their Brewers uniforms. There’s a bald guy with sunglasses behind the retro Tampa Bay jersey. I’m not sure who that is. Outside of Counsell, it looks like there might be two other non-players wearing Packers jerseys as well.
  19. LOL, makes me think of this: Brewers: We’ll finally end our no-hitter streak while getting a franchise high games above .500, but it’ll be a combined no-hitter. Brewerfan.net: meh
  20. I know ticket demand is down this year. I haven’t been able to utilize my 10-pack this season and it’s been a struggle to sell out tickets is StubHub. We actually ate one set of tickets that we had priced at half the face value for Club level tickets. I’m guessing it’s mostly due to COVID and probably a little due to the Brewers being good for multiple years now so making the postseason is now the “norm”. The Brewers are going to win the World Series this year so you’ll be seeing some big crowds in a month and a half. BTW, pulling Burnes was the right call, regardless of how you feel about combined no-hitters. They’ve been very careful with limiting the starting pitchers’ pitch counts all season, so to deviate from that now isn’t going to happen.
  21. Does Segura have a career batting average of like .400 against us? He seems to kill us consistently.
