  1. Yeah, it’s annoying that they release additional tickets later. I always try to buy Club level tickets. I was only able to buy Club Outfield as part of my 10-pack presale for NLDS game 5 (the only game I could attend), but then they released more tickets and I saw I could have bought Club Infield for the same price. I was able to buy Club Outfield for home games 2 & 3 for the NLCS s part of the 10-pack presale this morning, and I’m assuming the same situation will occur next week. Oh well, I’m just glad I could get tickets, and still get them on the Club level.
  2. Well, I’m not sad to see the Cardinals eliminated either…
  3. In 2011 I bought tickets on StubHub for the first World Series game that would have been in Milwaukee. They were Loge outfield seats (although they were row 1), but they were over $700 back then. If the Brewers make the World Series I don’t think you’ll be getting much for under $1,000 (maybe SRO or some nosebleed seats). If it comes down to a game 6 or 7 I bet those tickets will skyrocket.
  4. Sosa on STL is having a bad game defensively. Can’t seem to catch anything.
  5. Can’t be sad to see the Yankees eliminated!
  6. Wouldn’t it make cents to just spend all that lost money on seats to a few playoff games? Seems like a lot of hassle. If the Brewers make the World Series, I’d be surprised if you could buy a non-standing-room-only tickets for less than $1k via StubHub. I know they were going for a lot in 2018. Heck, I was able to buy Terrace level tickets for World Series home game 1 in 2018 and I believe they were around $250 face-value. And if it gets to the point of a clinching game, it will be drastically more expensive.
  7. At least SF is taking care of business. It really would be best for St. Louis to take out LA in the Wild Card… LA is too stacked in a seven-game series.
  8. Nice double play to get out of there. I just absolutely hate lead-off walks.
  9. Ideally, no. He had strike 3. Didn't get it. It happens. I know. But that’s how teams get back in games. Ball four wasn’t even close. Should have tried to throw it right down the middle (if he wasn’t).
  10. YOU DON’T WALK THE PITCHER TO LEAD OFF AN INNING!!!
  11. That ump at first has some guns! Reminds me of Ed Hockoli (however it’s spelled) who used to ref in the NFL.
  12. Man, I could watch Yelich run the bases all day.
  13. He obviously had some kind of injury issue, but it looked he wanted to stay in so it probably isn’t anything major. More of a precaution than anything. But, given his injury history, anything at all out of whack would be a cause for concern. Yeah, I guess I meant injured enough to miss some or all of the postseason. Should have said that from the get-go. Would be a huge loss for LA.
  14. Trea Turner hit an 0-2 pitch right down the right-field line for a very short HR.
  15. I wonder if Kershaw is injured. If so, then it’s Belt, Williams, and Kershaw. Those that sold their souls for St. Louis are really coming into play.
  16. Fantastic Ha! I made this meme after hearing about this incident!
  17. I’m sure my posts are included in this list, however I disagree. I don’t think there are lots of terrible posts here. People can have their opinion of this foolish mistake made by Williams. That’s doesn’t make their posts terrible. Yes, and I can have my opinion about the posts in this thread, which I think make Brewers fandom look bad. Fair enough

  19. I’ve never done anything that put my job in jeopardy because I got drunk, upset, and then punched a wall, breaking my hand, which is imperative for my job responsibilities. I’m guessing most of us are in the same position. There are other equally stupid things people do that don't involve alcohol. Driving while texting is an easy one off the top of my head and it could result in far worse than what Devin Williams did. Are you claiming you've never done something stupid that could have cost you or someone else something very meaningful. Perhaps even more meaningful that sports? Are you claiming you're perfect? Or are you merely claiming that if you were a famous athlete that you would be perfect at all times? Either way, you're wrong. The only thing worth discussing is what the Brewers will do to adjust. This judgement of Williams as a person and a teammate is gross and every bit as bad as Twitter. You are discussing illegal activities, which are completely different than this situation. There’s nothing really similar that I could do as I don’t have a job that depends on my physical abilities. That’s what makes this such a big deal. His livelihood is professional sports, high relies on his physical abilities. Because of his selfish actions he essentially ended his season and put his team in a very bad position. You can’t compare this to real life. It’s about the worse thing a professional athlete can do that isn’t illegal. And don’t bring up being perfect. No one said anything like that.
  20. Nobody here was ever close to being an integral part of a World Series run. No one here is being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to play that role. Such unbelievably flawed thinking regarding the expectations of another human being. Stuff happens, it sucks, but it doesn't make Devin Williams a terrible person or one who should be traded. And it doesn't warrant the vitriol and talk of booing him. He made a mistake and feels terrible about it. He didn't lie and he faced his teammates, the organization, and the fans and owned up to his mistake. Imagine if there were people tossing you away when you did similarly stupid things. It doesn’t make him a terrible person, but his actions have a significant impact on this team, which is/was in its best position to make a deep postseason run in basically franchise history. The gravity of this situation would cause most of us to lose our jobs. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that the Brewers FO are irate and there will be some significant action as a result. Actions have consequences, even in professional sports.

  22. This makes me want to drink so much I punch a wall.
