  1. Of course they are illegal. No different than purchasing a bootleg DVD or CD. Go to nfljerseysupply.com. The DOJ seized that website.
  2. Please somebody make a screencap of that shot of Pujols, Nyjer, and Garth Iorg. Awesome!
  3. ...and then there is the complete other end of the spectrum. One of the Cardinals TV announcers claimed that Yadi was being pushed by the umpire first. Later in the clip, the radio announcers placed all the blame on the umpire saying, "Drake took the helmet off and started barking at Yadier. Then Yadier got right in his face." I usually don't have a problem with the local TV or radio crew being homers, but there has to be a limit. http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=17599219&topic_id=&c_id=mlb&tcid=vpp_copy_17599219&v=3
  4. Also coming in crystal clear was the Indians game on am 1100 out of Cleveland, Twins game on 1420 out of Mankato, and the Rochester Honkers game on an am station out of Rochester. I'm a nerd. Sorry.
  5. a.m. radio can be very strange sometimes. I work in Sauk Prairie, which is about 20 miles west of Madison. 1310 usually comes in well, until about 10pm at night. The signal strength drops, and the signal fades in and out. I found myself scanning the dial for the next 2 closest Brewers affiliates. 1400 a.m. in Reedsburg: static. Same with am 1450 out of Richland Center. However, 1150 in Appleton came in pretty well. Even stranger, I was able to get the Cardinals broadcast out of Peoria (1470) in crystal clear. I tuned in just in time to hear K-Rod strike out Theriot. The Classies radio broadcaster had this to say with disgust in his voice, "Rodriguez does his little dance out there, mimicking the umpire." It was awesome.
  6. So putting any of our other options at 2B makes that big of difference? Who do you want? Counsell or Lopez? And seeing there are mostly regulars in there I am baffled at the JV comment. Guess you are one of the JSonline guys mentioned in the other post. http://www.mediabistro.com/unbeige/files/original/leida%20stop%20fighting.jpg
  7. How deep was the water when you made the jump off the 15-foot ledge? I'm just curious if you saw anyone do anything cool like a dive, flip, etc. Also, I saw your crew was all wearing matching shirts. When Bert the Conqueror did the Tough Mudder for his Travel Channel show, it appeared that there were lots of people who came in matching clothing or costumes. Did you see a lot of that?
  8. .. . http://www.glogster.com/media/1/3/12/96/3129608.jpg
  9. I've tried to listen to a couple different episodes of Lagana's podcast, but I couldn't get through it. Just not interesting enough. I am a huge fan of the Art of Wrestling with Colt Cabana. http://www.welovecolt.com/ My favorite episodes are Chris Hero, Zach Gowen, Colin Delaney, Sean Waltman, and Domino aka Cliff Compton. Completely unrelated... There is a free independent pro wrestling show today (Saturday, July 30th) at 5pm in Dousman at the municipal park. The show is part of Dousman Derby Days. Featured is former AWA wrestler Jake "The Milkman" Milliman. Yes, he still wrestles and he looks exactly the same. Also on the show is former WCW wrestler Tough Tom of Disorderly Conduct, who is really good live. There are a bunch of other local wrestlers appearing and there is a woman's match as well.
  10. This angle is really up and down. Punk's first speech was top-notch. For the first time in a long time, it had people wondering, "Was that for real?" The buzz grew until the next week on Raw. (Taped later in the evening after Punk's speech.) I thought the follow-up was a letdown with McMahon and Cena. "Don't fire Punk. I want to wrestle him at the PPV because of pride. He was just speaking his mind, blah, blah, blah." I also thought the contract signing was a letdown too. To me, Vince McMahon did not need to be so heavily involved in the angle. I was having flashbacks of the Invasion angle. What should have been the biggest storyline/feud in wrestling history (WCW/ECW vs. WWF) turned out to be Shane McMahon & "The Extreme Princess" Stephanie McMahon vs. Vince McMahon. I digress. The Punk/Cena Money in the Bank PPV title match was great. Too many screwups to be *****, but a solid **** match nonetheless. Great crowd, great drama, and I couldn't believe they pulled the trigger letting Punk win. He had to be under contract prior to the match. Too much unknown if he wasn't. They followed it up with Punk and the WWE title in the fridge, and then the Comic-Con showdown. That was fantastic. That's what today's wrestling is sorely missing. Something unexpected. Something new. Punk then showed up at the AAW indy show in Berwyn. All of this led up to last Monday. Punk returned. Way too soon. He and Cena had an anticlimactic showdown in the middle of the ring. (I did love Cult of Personality.) I have a strong idea that the silent showdown was HHH's idea. He loves his silent showdowns, kinda like the one he had with Taker. That leads me to my last point. I really dislike HHH. I've never been a fan. I think he is going to interject himself into the feud, and therefore shoot himself back into the spotlight. Hopefully my expectations are false, and WWE can make wrestling, I mean sports entertainment, cool again.
  11. The Brewers totally got the better end of this deal.
  12. Amy Winhehouse? Too mainstream. Russ, you basically just described the musical leaning of most hipsters. How many hipsters does it take to change a lightbulb? Never mind, it's a really obscure number. You've never heard of it.
  13. Thanks for posting that brwrsfan.
  14. Really neat story from tonight's game: http://milwaukee.brewers.....jsp?content_id=17123187
  15. It's pure speculation, but I imagine there may be some animosity between the Brewers and Cruz because he refused his assignment to Nashville at the end of spring training.
  16. I'm leaning towards a Jimmy Nelson/ Sean Haltoncombination. The Mets can save a little bit of face by scooping up a recent 2nd round pick. Plus, Halton's numbers look pretty impressive upon first glance.
  17. Prince, I hope you sign a gazillion dollar free agent contract. You've earned it. Thanks for the memories.
  18. Christoph Waltz was fantastic in Basterds. Absolutely blew me away. On the other hand, Eli Roth is a horrible actor. I would say that he should stick to directing, but I haven't liked anything he has put out.
  19. Well you could just question every decision that is made, be right about 1 out of 10, and will fit in perfectly here. CO your comments are more anoying than any complaining posts on this board. I disagree. I like CO's posts because they are generally positive and not filled with the negative knee-jerk reactions that have plagued the IGTs for the past couple of years.
  20. Although various tax experts disagree on the topic, this is from the article I quoted in my post: “It’s an expensive catch,” said John Barrie, a tax lawyer with Bryan Cave LLP in New York who grew up watching the Giants play at Candlestick Park. “Once he took possession of the ball and it was his ball, it was income to him based on its value as of yesterday,” Even if he does not sell the ball, Murphy would still owe the taxes based on a reasonable estimate of its value, according to Barrie. Capital gains taxes also could be levied in the future as the ball gains value, he said.
  21. I would like to believe that I would simply give it back to the ballplayer without asking for anything in return. However, I read that the guy who caught Bonds' record breaking* home run ball was forced to sell it because of taxes. As soon as he caught Bonds' record breaking* home run ball, it was the same as winning the lottery. What's 20% of 200-250k? That's a huge price to pay for doing the right thing. http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/20186528/
  22. The starting pitcher gets to decide what uniforms to wear.
  23. Well, I would have asked for a Hanley Ramirez bat because he is a stud. Seriously, it bothers me every time I read this article. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4168063 Explain to me why The Happy Youngster felt the need to tell Coghlan he worked in law enforcement.
  24. Very cool. I've seen him wrestle live a handful of times. I think I was present for either his first or second professional match in Beaver Dam. He was given a lame surfer gimmick and was wrestling for Powerhouse Professional Wrestling.
  25. What is your brother's ring name?
